Name: Takamura Hitomi
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Rank: Genin
Blood Type: A
Chakra Affinity: Wind
Other Info of Note: Is completely colorblind, as are all members of the Takamura clan
Appearance:
Height: 5'2”
Build: Slender
Hair: Black, mid-back length
Eyes: Slate Gray
Skin tone: Fair
Hitomi wears her hair pulled back, bound near the end with a gray tie. Her petite build is accented by the short skirt she wears (with shorts underneath, of course), printed in the Hidden Sound's trademark “cow” pattern. Also in that print is a baggy neck band. She wears a simple gray sleeveless top and baggy gray armwarmers that cover most of her arms, and black bands on her legs. Her shoes are black sandals made after the typical Hidden Sound fashion.
Personality: Confident and sure of herself, Hitomi isn't exactly the most demure of Hidden Sound's Kunoichi. She has quite the temper, and has been known to be rather haughty at times – this isn't to say, though, that she's an absolute witch – deep down she's a caring person, she just chooses not to show it. While she has a well-trained sense of self-control, she at times chooses not to use it and, as a result, can switch between discreet tactfulness and painful bluntness with the bat of an eye.
Likes: Falcons, races, agility-building exercises, reading
Dislikes: Annoying people, selfishness, teasing, immaturity
History: Hitomi was born into one of the small Sound Village's larger clans, the Takamura. Known for their coordination, reflexes, and taijutsu skills, everyone born into the Takamura clan is also completely colorblind. Not letting this stop them, the Takamura are trained from childhood in agility, flexibility, and – most importantly – hand-to-hand combat and accurate targeting. Hitomi, of course, was no exception to this, and showed particular promise as a youngster. She was enrolled into the Ninja Academy with cousins of hers who were also of age, and made good grades – until one day, when something happened.
As a rule, the Takamura wear nothing but shades of gray. The reason is fairly obvious – being colorblind, the results would be disastrous were a member of this clan try and match colors together. Hitomi, however, was already receiving comments from her classmates about the lack of color in her wardrobe, and decided she'd had enough. One day, after school, she went to the store and bought colored clothes with the allowance money she'd saved up. Thinking the shopkeepers' stares as nothing more than the reaction to seeing a Takamura buy colored clothing, she took her purchases home and, on her way to the Academy the next morning, changed from her usual grays to the more colorful attire she'd purchased. The hideous color combination, that her eyes had not been able to discern, was met with ghastly results. Laughed at and mocked by her classmates, Hitomi was crushed. Her grades plummeted, she made no effort to make friends, and kept completely to herself with the exception of close family.
Eventually, she made the decision to ignore the ridicule, and came into her own as a young lady and as a shinobi. It is because of these events in the Academy that she isn't as playful as she was as a child, and also why she can't stand teasing or immaturity of any kind. Currently, Hitomi is working as a Genin of the Hidden Sound to the best of her ability in order to honor her Village and her Clan.
