Wow. Me too. I watched it last night (and got so absorbed in it that when my girlfriend came over, I was watching the last five minutes of it and told her to wait outside my room. Bad Mazzy). XD
Me and Sorien are breaking karma (inside joke) today and seeing it. So, uh, I'll wait 'til afterwards to post, just in case Sorien finds his way here.

YES! Sorien has watched it. Great movie. Ok...spoilers from here on in:
My favourite parts of it: When the Tifa has JUST beaten that guy. Cue cellphone victory fanfare. When they all get back together, that was just awesome. Oh...and well...I'm gonna steal Maz's one here XD. Although corny, the whole team throwing of Cloud up to...the summon...who is decidedly Bahamut...but...well...never mind XD

Yeah, though it took awhile for us to figure out that it was Bahamut..... then we were like "WOOOO MEGA FLARE!"
I loved the fight scene between Tifa and what's-his-face.
AND THE PLACE WITH THE WHITE GLOWING TREES IS SO FREAKING AWESOME! Silly game, stealing my idea for a place with white glowing trees..... even though the game came first. ^^;;;

Welp. I'll say everything I've said elsewhere and half dominate the thread with my evil overwhelming opinions!
This. Movie. ROCKED. I was smiling the WHOLE way through like an idiot the first time I saw it.
Marlene is cute. I luff her. At first when I heard the child's voice, I wasn't sure who it was, but then when you saw Marlene on the screen, it's like "OMG YOU'RE SO CUTE".
Tifa vs, I think it was Loz... was awesome. Tifa kicked so much butt. I loved how they rearranged the original tracks from Final Fantasy VII -- in this scene they used the battle theme. The victory fanfare was a very nice touch, much like the first time you hear it in Final Fantasy Unlimited.
The fight scenes were absolutely amazing. The soundtrack complimented the bike battles very nicely. Especially just the little touches that they add to one bar in, say, four or eight. Very pumping music, great work there.
When Valentine appeared for the first time, I almost wet myself. lol... no, not quite, but I got so excited. He looked just like Spawn, but I knew Vincent was about to kick some serious behind.
The little scenes with Aerith were awesome. Especially at the beginning where Marlene tells the story of "those who stood up to Sephiroth before", and it shows everybody, and the last person it shows is Aerith. I went "Awww," after remembering what happened to her.
The summoning of the new Bahamut was cool. It wouldn't have been a Final Fantasy without his appearance.. though I have to say, I did think it was going to be Cloud that would summon Bahamut. But the battle with him was awesome: the first time Barret enters, he TOTALLY KICKS BUTT. I was almost to the point of cheering and thinking "Man, Bahamut's about to get the SNOT kicked outta him!" Then when everyone else made their entrance, you just get this feeling that Bahamut is seriously not going to survive. I also love the way Tifa puts it.
Denzel: Who are they? Tifa: They're old friends.
I just got this feeling of awe. Dumbstruck awe. XD
I have to say, though I previously said (somewhere else) that there's only ONE thing I'd change about the movie... there are actually two. The first thing is Limit Break 4-1: Omnislash. Square-Enix got most of it right. It's the battle with Bahamut where Cloud unleashes this awesome ability, not the final battle. They got it half-right: starting poses and stuff like that for one. But it was only seven hits (from memory)... and there weren't as many effects. I think it would've been cool if, you know, the background went black and every hit kind of, exploded, or let off some feedback... the same way, the same sort of power that you felt when you unleashed it in the game. Every hit in the game felt dramatic -- you felt like you were giving this monster a heck of a thrashing. And the final hit wasn't definitive enough. There was no, major charge up and bring it all screaming down on the enemy. It was just... hover there a bit and then come down on the foe in the movie.
The second thing was... THE MATERIA KADAJ USED TO SUMMON HIM WAS GREEN!!! WRONG. Summon Materia are RED.
Lol. But that's just me being picky.
I also like the scene where each of Cloud's team-mates throw him higher. While being a tad corny, I actually really liked it. Especially when Cloud got to the Mega Flare/Giga Flare, whatever it was... and you see HER hand grabbing Cloud's.
Yeah. I love Aerith. And what? lol
Did anybody also note that the new ship's name was Sierra (Sierra and Shera -- Cid's assistant from FF7 -- are spelt the same in Japanese)?
The Turks were cool too. I love the arrangement of their music. Awesome stuff.
I also didn't notice the first time that during the group sequence onboard the Shera (when Cloud's battling Kadaj), the music being played is actually an arrangement of JENOVA. Also the music when Kadaj and Rufus are talking about "What happens when you find Jenova's cells?" was actually the second overworld theme redone (the overworld theme that plays when Meteor's on its way) -- during this sequence there was a lot about Meteor. Nice touch, I thought.
And it goes without saying that the final battle scene kicked everyone's behinds. Really. Really. Hard. Especially when Kadaj uses the cells, and you hear HIS voice say it.
"It's been a while, hasn't it Cloud?"
AWESOME moment. Plus, I like how they used a rearrangement of One Winged Angel -- I DON'T like how they changed the lyrics, though. Otherwise, AWESOME battle. XD
Cloud's awesome new limit break rocked too. Awesome end to an awesome battle.
And. The best part. Was when you see HER face. She's so hot. Lol.
Yeah yeah, knock down the Aerith fanboy. Go on. You know you want to. XD
Anyways, I have more thoughts on the movie... but a mate's over, and I have to show it to him, so I'll go see it for... like... the fourth time or something like that? I might have more comments afterwards. Lol.
10/10 movie. Definitely.

...You love Aeris don't you. And yes. 'I' spelt it Aeris. So sue me ^_^. I have to agree, when you hear the whole "Its been a while, hasn't it C(u)loud" And yeah. The last limit break rocked. And also...I didn't even SEE Omnislash...so that lets you know how...it lacked

Yeah. Actually, one other nice touch I thought was cool was Vincent's weapon -- a triple barrelled pistol, just like the Magun that Kaze uses in Final Fantasy: Unlimited. Coincidence, put in there on purpose, or do Square-Enix just like triple-barrelled pistols? Hmm...
And speaking of the devil (or demon, really), Vincent just so ROCKED in Advent Children. Just the way he flew around the place and shot the crap out of Bahamut. It was just, class. Amazing class. XD

Well, Maz, it wasn't just you. When Vincent showed up, my brother went "SPAWN!! OH NOES!" Tch. Great movie. Everyone (read: Maz) has pretty much hit on everything I liked about it ... except Reno. Reno and Rude were awesome. ^_^ And... yeah. Basically the movie was an hour and a half of eye candy... Woosh....

Eeeh? You mean eye candy in the way of battle scenes? Cos...otherwise you'd be talking about women, and I didn't see a lot of woman about... come to think of it though...although cool...Vincent did resemble Spawn...
