So how many people have read this book? I find it fantastic, and the reason I'm only putting this up now, is the sequel "The eldest" has been released very recently, and I have yet to read it. So...has anyone read this as well...care to comment on this awesome piece of literature ^_^

Yeah. Its awesome eh. Like I said, the sequel is out now. Its named "The eldest" and apparently its as good as the first one. I'm glad this isn't a like...Harry Potter series, and is only a trilogy, so hopefully we won't have to wait as long for the final book ^_^

Yeah, I'm in the middle (well, somewhat past it by now) of the latest WoT volume, and then I have another book to read, so yeah. ^^ Definitely wanna read these eventually, though.

Yeah. He was only 16 when he wrote the first book, wasn't he? It was impressive just how developed his writing was... and all the detail he put into crafting the world and all... I wish I was that awesome. XD
I need to buy the next book. I'll probably have to wait a while though. u__u I want to read the WoT books but I've never gotten a chance. I want to finish the Dragonriders of Pern series, too... GUAH.
*becomes a millionaire just so I can buy all the books I want* ^__^

You just won't need money to buy books, you'll need a LOT of time, and a quick reading pace. Yeah, he did do a good job of creating that world so young. However, it was funny, when I was reading the books, I could predict what he was going to write. I mean for example: Spoilers below:
When his Uncle died. I mean...I knew that had to happen, cos its the same for when I do literature, you can't have any parental characters, because they can restrict the main character.

Thank god I read like 450 wpm. XD
Which is 4x more than what I type. >__>
Argh... it's been so long, now I'm trying to remember what parts of the book I liked and it's hard... heh. Maybe I should re-read.... ^^;

HOLY! Wow. I certainly don't read fast, I read like...not that much per minute thats for sure. Yeah, re-reading might be a good idea, I'm going to do the same, as I didn't grasp all of the detail the first time through.

Hehehe! Thats rather amusing. I'm proud to say I read as slow as a tortoise...well...I don't know how fast they read...but you get my drift XD. But yeah. The eldest is out. I'm going to re-read Eragon, then get the Eldest, and I'll comment in here further.

Reviving this thread, 'cause they're making a movie. I gotta say, it looks pretty hardcore. I want to re-read the book before it comes out.
If you want to see the trailer, just go to Yahoo, do a search for "Eragon," and then go to the movie page. Then just go to "Trailers & Clips." ^_^
