After three months of restoration construction, the aftermath of the leak that flooded my Granny's entire house was finally wrapped up about two weeks ago. Today, another leak started - INSIDE THE WALL, this time - and water was all over the place yet again.
Oh, SNAP.

Sounds like the leaking problems at Mum and Dad's house over the last several years. Ever since we moved into the house, like over twenty years ago, there have been leaks, on and off, mostly in the living room, but sometimes in other parts of the house too.
Dad's theory, right from the beginning, was that the water was coming from the point where the chimney joined the rest of the roof, but all the people we got in over the years to try and fix the leaks were like, "No, it's not that". Over the years, various workmen patched up parts of the roof, and when that didn't work, replaced all the guttering, and when that didn't work, re-roofed our entire house.
We still got leaks. About a year ago, the...maybe fifth roof guy came to look at it, did some tests, and discovered the water was getting in where the chimney joined the rest of the roof. They resealed the chimney, and we've never had a leak since.
Oh snap.

lol. Sucks when you know the solution all the way along. Makes you want a refund off those useless people who profited off their mistakes.
