Oh? Gai sensei. No, I don't think he'd make a good Gai sensei voice...he need to be a cheesy character...like someone from the Ginyu squad (DBZ) XD. But I don't think he has a deep enough voice to be Orochimaru as well....this will be interesting...

Well, Naru IS only 12.
Kaori-daime made a good point when I was talking to her over IM. Even in the beginning of the Japanese version of Naruto, he sounded much younger than he does in later episodes. Although, I didn't remember it until she brought it up. I'm not sure if it will get better, but I don't think it was a nightmare.
Not quite the voice I would have picked for him, though.

Yeah, they have Anime Network (only On Demand, here), but they should have Subbed programs. Or even ANSubbed and ANDubbed. Then everyone would be happy.

You see what they have done to the show when the brought it to the US was that they took out all of the cussing and most of the good violence like in the second match of the Chunin Exams when Shino fought against Zaku in the manga they ripped off Zaku's arms but in the show they just stopped his chakra flow. Also the America version gave Naruto that crappy voice and gave him that "believe it!" thing. I hate it.

Yeah. Manga/Japanese Anime ftw. I don't recall who it was, but I remember someone saying about how Dattebayo (Which they translated as "believe it") means more along the lines of "Don'tcha know?" Which could be shortened to "ya know?" Which is a much more commonly used phrase, and wouldn't make people want to throw their chairs at the TV >_<

Though really, if you listen to the subbed anime, Dub Naruto says "Believe It!" just about as often as Sub Naruto says "Dattebayo!"... at least as far as I've noticed. It's just that the Japanese Voice Actress (yes, actress) does a better job of making the phrase blend into Naruto's natural vocal and speech patterns. In the dub, the phrase is more separated from the rest of Naruto's lines, and the actor's (Actress's? I'm not really sure on this one) way of emphasizing it makes the phrase more "in your face", so to speak.

Well. I watched my first full episode of the dub. I could stand it actually. That however, doesn't mean that I'd ever watch it again dubbed. Then again, it takes a really, really good dub to make me watch ANY anime in its english version. I just find that dubs stereotype voices incorrectly, instead of Gaara sounding scary and psychotic, he sounded like he had a breathing problem; asthma or something >_>. And then theres the name changing. I'm Sasuke Uchiha. Ugh. 'Uchiha Sasuke da' has such a cooler ring to it XDXD. By the way, the ep I caught was immediately post Shikamaru-Temari fight, the one where Sasuke is late, and makes his big entrance. ... ... Guess I'd better spoiler that for those who haven't read it yet. XDXD
