A hiss of sharply indrawn breath escaped from the Jounin when Utsuro-kun braved the blaze. The butterfly veered upward sharply, narrowly avoiding burning him. " Scatter, she whispered, and with carefully molded chakra, the butterfly exploded into several smaller versions of itself that flew out in brilliant arcs in all directions, crashing headlong into Utsuro's fire, sapping its strength and ensuring the flames would not land anywhere they weren't supposed to. The last thing she needed was a massive fire wiping out the entire village under her command. The fire situation under control, she dashed forward, dodging butterflies and streams of fire with elegant - if somewhat flashy - elegance as she went. Catching Utsuro-kun's eye, she winked, then darted behind him and struck out at his neck - a blow aimed to render him unconscious, as gently as possible. She had never wanted to actually hurt the boy, after all - even if she had been using flaming butterflies. She stood there, poised, tensed, ready to either catch him as he fell or react had the blow somehow not worked as it should.

The wink was all it took to sufficiently distract Ichiyuumaihi, already stunned by her display of grace and agility. d**n she's some kinda woman..
The blow struck, and his last thoughts before snuffing out like a candle, were of how his frustration was STILL at a climax.

Miyoko sighed as she caught the unconscious newcomer. This had become decidedly troublesome. Shifting so she carried the boy on her back, she gathered up her flak jacket and his shirt, and began the trek to the hospital. Though she garnered no few odd looks on her way, there were stranger things in Konoha than someone getting knocked unconscious, and she was left alone for the most part as she made her way through the streets. At last she reached her destination, got Utsuro-kun checked in, left orders to summon her when he woke - and to not, under any circumstances, let him leave - and returned to the office before the assistants could find out where she was and attempt to drag her bodily back to her assigned post.

The dismal fog drifted all about him, stiffling and dim. Utsuro hated this place, the ruinous phantom of his village, of all that had been destroyed. And yet, every time the darkness claimed him, this was where he inevitably found himself, wandering aimlessly until the darkness had subsided.
Soft voices called unintelligably from beyond the fog, spirits waiting for contact, no doubt. Now was not the time to contemplate such things, however, as the path of light had appeared as it always did, and Utsuro ran towards it to escape this...graveyard of memories.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Blinking his eyes open, it took a moment to adjust to the surroundings, and already dread had begun to settle in. This was not the alleyway he had fallen in, so he knew immediately something bad had occured. What was worse...it was a hospital. One of the few things in the world the timid boy could bring himself to hate. Attempting to rise, Utsuro discovered he had been restrained, and panic gripped his throat. Things had once again gone very wrong... only a matter of time until I'm thrown out....and this was the last village...The small modicum of hope that had been built up became dashed, it was enough to make him want to cry...but he couldn't find the strength to. Staring blankly at the ceiling, he awaited the looming verdict.

Kamea made her way through the halls of the Konoha medical center, a tray in hand. Her brightly colored hair had been covered with a handkerchief tied around her head to denote her volunteer status, and her floral print dress had been covered with a white hooded uniform. White sandals with bright yellow flowers on them peeked out from beneath the standard issue white pants, terribly mismatched from the rest of her outfit. Now and again the small academy student would poke her head into a room to see if the person inside was awake before offering them some water. It was important to keep the sick and injured hydrated, and with the medical shinobi so busy doing bigger jobs, Kamea was happy to pick up the slack with something so small. It was pretty tough for all of them with the Hokage and even Tokoharu-sama off on a trip to the Sand Village. While making her rounds, the girl was more than a little shocked to come upon a room in which a young man was actually restrained to his bed. At first, she thought he might have been asleep, but a second later she realized that his eyes were open. Slipping inside, she summoned her courage to greet him. "Hello, there!" she squeaked, but quickly gathered her composure and smiled. "Sir, I've got some water here for you, if you're thirsty." She moved over to his bedside as she explained, setting the tray down for a bit to rest her arms. Her silver eyes sparkled with a mixture of curiosity and compassion as she looked down at him, waiting to hear his response.

A saccharine voice drew him out of the daze he had fallen into, tilting his head to view the source. A young girl, not to much younger than himself, had entered the room with an offer of water. What little he could see of her hair was a rather striking lavender color, and she seemed to be garbed in the same white as the medical staff. Surely noone of her age would be a medical ninja, so she must have been a volunteer.
He was rather thirsty, though. ".....some water...would be appreciated...thank you.."
At the very least, his usual hushed tone was perfectly suited for a hospital.

"Of course!" she replied, moving closer to the bed to gently help him drink. Kamea could not even imagine what such a mild-mannered young man had done to end up in such a situation. Perhaps he had hurt himself in some way? He did seem awfully sad, but Kamea wholeheartedly hoped that that was not the case.
"How are you feeling?" she asked softly when giving him a break in between drinks. Even if she had no idea what was wrong with him, he was in a hospital, so he must have been feeling pretty badly at some point.

Sipping the water carefully, Utsuro considered her inquery, trying to decide how best to answer it.
"...I feel.....well enough...I am not even certain as to why I am here..." Sighing softly, he tried to find someplace to focus on, as the floor was not currently an option, and her silvery eyes were far too entrancing to risk glimpsing again. So much nicer than his own dull, ash-gray eyes. The company, however awkward, was very much appreciated.

"You don't know?" she asked, a worried expression crossing her face. "Did you get hit on the head?" She reached with one hand to rest a palm against his forehead before feeling around his scalp very lightly for a bump. It didn't seem like there was any such thing.

It would be hard to describe the precise shade of red the young man's cheeks turned upon her placing a hand on him, but needless to say, it was quite a brilliant hue of red. Stammering more than usual, he was almost quick with his reply.
"...n-no...I...do not think so....I was going to be mugged in an alley....and then I blacked out..."

"Mugged!" she exclaimed, too mortified to notice the brilliant shade his face had taken on. "How awful! Honestly! That such a terrible thing would happen here in Konoha--!" For a moment, the tiny volunteer took on an air more fitting to a fussy mother than to a thirteen-year-old girl.
"You poor boy. That must have been an absolutely dreadful experience," she crooned. "Can I get you anything? I could sneak you some ice cream, I bet," she added with a smile sweeter than any frozen treat she could have brought to him.

The sudden fussing took him by surprise, as he was hardly accustomed to so much attention being shown towards him. "..i..it's quite all right, m-miss....it was not the first time this has happened to me...And I am certain there are other patients more in need of your care than I.."

"Well," she said, frowning a little with worry at his response, "alright. Though helping patients with small things like that kind of is my job until I can start my training."

"And a very good job you're doing of it, too, my dear," an approving voice said from the doorway. And there was Adabana Miyoko, leaning casually against the door frame. "I'll have to have a word with whoever did that," she muttered with a frown as she eyed what had been done to Utsuro-kun.

Jumping a little bit, Kamea turned to the door and was surprised to find the temporary Hokage--Adabana Miyoko--standing there. Bowing quickly, she managed to thank the woman for the compliment. She paused afterward, wondering if it would be impertinent to ask the question burning in her mind. "You know this boy, Adabana-san?" she finally asked.
