The next round of dishes came and went. They were flying through them at a high pace. Dayna returned, looking a little worried about something. Sorien opened his mouth. "HERE HERE!!!". "Ahh." He said. His question being answered by the loud cheering in the dining area. "Need any help Dayna-chan?" He asked. Wondering what had happened out there.

"No, I'm fine thanks. Soba's asked me to do some waitressing tonight, as you can probably tell -- it'll earn us extra though, which works. So, sorry 'bout not hanging out with you two."
Maz tried to look away from her. He couldn't help it. Her hair... those glasses... the uniform just topped the whole thing off. It was like he wanted to see her, to talk to her... but he couldn't. It was almost too much. He tried to concentrate on washing the dishes, grabbing another plate. He'd be glad later on that she didn't notice. "No no, it's okay." He smiled at her -- another waiter came and placed some more soup bowls on the pile to be washed, although fewer than last time; people were finishing their entrees.
"I might catch up with you guys later... after I deal with this lot out there." She shuddered, and made her way over to the wine and beer section of the kitchen. "Okay."
Before returning to his dishes, he shot a look at Sorien, and then one at Dayna as she walked away. He glanced back to Sorien and raised an eyebrow -- guy talk. Maz smiled and shook his head, before returning to the pile of dishes.

Dayna found several large glasses, and placed them on a tray. She walked over and found the different beers the lads had all asked, and filled their glasses with it. Some of them had requested some of Yaki-Yaki's special lager, straight from the keg. Placing four glasses underneath the tap, she turned it on: beer flowed freely from it. As the liquid poured, she placed her hands underneath the tap, and breathed deeply; the flow of beer twisted and turned in mid-air, and separated itself into four streams, filling each glass as she concentrated on using her powers to guide the liquid. She'd split the stream exactly into four -- each of the glasses filled in unison, and just before they were full, she placed one hand on the tap while still using the other to guide the beer into their glasses. She stopped the tap just in time -- each glass frothed slightly and almost spilled over the top of each glass, before resting at the mouth.
She looked back at Maz -- he was watching her, distracted for a second. She winked and smiled brightly -- he smiled fondly in return.
Reaching for a bottle of sake, she placed everything on a tray and walked out past her teammates -- "Wish me luck guys," she spoke. "Have fun," Maz replied -- before heading out to Table #8.
Round two.

"No no, it's okay." . Sorien turned to face Dayna "Yeah, thats fine, do what you have to do eh?" He said.
He spun back around. More dishes. So far Sorien hadn't used up much chakra, he knew he had a high chakra stamina, but also knew that in order to get stronger, he had to control it better. More steam, more dry. He almost had a routine now, and knew where all of the dishes we to go, so far. As he made his way back to the dish rack, he caught Maz's eye. He raised one at Daynas general direction. "Oh dear" Sorien thought to himself. He returned Maz's smile, before turning to watch the last of Daynas beer juggling act. He giggled at the sight of this, before turning back to his dishes.
More steam.

Dayna walked out and back into the banquet hall, tray in hand. She made her way over to Table #8, where she was welcomed. With many shouts and hoots, no doubt.
"Here you are, sirs."
She placed each of the drinks in front of the guests; as she leant over, each of the table's occupants tried to squeeze in a look at her, some more obvious than others. Dayna felt nervous around this bunch: she could feel some of them staring at her, their eyes closing in on her, trapping her, confining her to the table. One of them grinned at her lasciviously. Dayna was disgusted; how much alcohol had these guys had already?
The blond haired man glanced over at the man, and told him off. Dayna placed the bottle of sake in front of him -- the man smiled at her and thanked her. Dayna smiled at him. He seemed a bit out of place with this group; him and that other one over there, who didn't seem to be saying much.
"Is there anything else you would like?" "I can think of several things I'd like," one of the men whispered to the blond man -- he gave a slightly confused, almost disgusted look back. "Yes.. I'd like to apologize for the behaviour of my comrades here." Dayna smiled back, dumbly. She didn't want to point out that they were making her feel uncomfortable, she didn't want to offend them. "It's okay."
So far, it was working, he thought. Step one, look like a nice guy, accomplished.
"Would you like a drink? As a way of, making it up to you." He began to pour himself a small glass of sake. Dayna looked confused, surprised. Even though she didn't drink, it was a nice gesture, but... "Ah... no thanks." "Oh... I see. I was trying to be nice, is all.... uh...." The blond man stopped for a second. "...do you work here? I, uh, noticed you don't have a name-tag." "Oh!... uh... yes, I do most nights." She lied.
Great, so I can see her again, the man thought to himself.
"Well, I'll call on you if we need anything else." "Okay." Dayna smiled, and tended to other customers.
Step two, ensure she'll come back later on... accomplished.

Twenty minutes had passed -- people had finished their soups and entrees, so the last of the soup bowls trickled in -- and Dayna still hadn't returned to help with the dishes. Maz had hoped she'd come back to help out, to which he was disappointed.
* * * * * * *
A dull chang came from the banquet hall -- a plate full of food fell from Table #8. Dayna sighed.
"Hey, uh, excuse me!" "Yes? What can I do for you?" "My friend here, the klutz, dropped his plate... I don't suppose we could get another order here, could we?" "Well... I... suppose. I'll just clean up this mess."
She left for a second, returning with a brush and scoop. She knelt on the ground next to the mess and swept up the mess -- why were these people allowed to be so drunk? They were being so retarded. She leaned forward for a second; she had a funny feeling... she thought she heard the guy SMILING....
He was staring down her top. She could feel it, she could feel his eyes peering down her shirt, attempting to get a glimpse of what lay beneath. She nodded her head forward so as to cover up the gap a little more -- she adjusted her glasses -- and finally got the last of the mess. Feeling frustrated but trying not to show it, she told her customers that she would be back with the man's order soon. The blond man nodded, and thanked her -- he reached out and touched her hand, and sincerely apologized for their table's behaviour; "the guys weren't usually like this", and he said he'd be happy to make it up to her. Dayna smiled, seemingly taken in by this gesture -- the man's grin widened -- but really, she wasn't the slightest bit interested.
"I'll be back with that order then." "Okay."
* * * * * * *
The second she left, the guys were busy talking about her once again -- like a bunch of immature schoolboys.
"Was it good?" "Verrrry good, man. I'll be taking home something sweet tonight." "How're you gonna do it?" "Hmm... don't quite know yet... we'll see when she comes back out."
He high-fived his buddies.
* * * * * * *
"Okay... there's a steak and noodle dish destined for Table #8, can someone handle that please?" Dayna called out upon entering the kitchen area. One of the other waiting staff nodded, and Dayna went over to a disposal bin to get rid of the "food gift" the vermin at Table #8 left for her.
Upon hearing her voice, Maz's head quickly turned. Dayna shook herself off quickly, and adjusted her glasses slightly. Walking towards her Genin teammates, Maz froze, scrubbing brush still in hand. He hoped she was coming over for good, now. Realizing he was almost staring, he quickly turned back to the task of washing up. Dayna felt a kind of warm feeling inside; he was better than those blokes out in the hall, at least.
"I don't suppose there's a space for me, is there?" "Uh... sure... uh... whatever happened to waitressing?" "Blah... there's a rude bunch of guys out there. They're lucky that tonight I'm a waitress, and not a ninja." She grinned. Maz chuckled.

I don't suppose there's a space for me, is there?" Dayna asked, facing Maz. "Uh... sure... uh... whatever happened to waitressing?" Maz replied "Blah... there's a rude bunch of guys out there. They're lucky that tonight I'm a waitress, and not a ninja." She shot a grin at Maz, and Maz begun to chuckle. "Yeah I would have said the same thing" Sorien interjected. "Some guys are just outright rude ain't they?" He asked with a look of disgust on his face. "Anyways, I'm sure we've got a job for ya!" He grinned at Dayna, slightly pleased that he wouldn't have to be putting the dishes away any longer. "So...I think you can put the dishes away, eh?" He asked.

Sorien interjected with a comment. "Some guys are just outright rude, ain't they?"
Dayna smiled warmly. "Yeah. You've got that right." Just being with her two team-mates cheered her up; they were on her side, and a great weight was lifted off her shoulders. "Anyways, I'm sure we've got a job for ya! I think you can put the dishes away, eh?" "Sounds good. Where do they go?" Maz pointed at a few cupboards. "Plates and bowls go over there... cups go in there."
Feeling a little better, Dayna opened up the cupboards and got to work: taking a plate from Sorien (which was still steaming from Sorien's faster-than-average drying abilities), she concentrated her chakra into forming a small air current underneath the plate, and guided it carefully to its rightful place. "God, that felt good. I've been dying to use my abilities all night."
Taking several dry items at once, she used her wind powers to carefully guide the kitchenware to their place in the cupboards.
"Hey hey, that seems hardly fair now, doesn't it?" "What's that, Maz?" "You guys have abilities to help you with this. Sorien's got his fire abilities to help with the 'wiping', and you can put dishes away just like that, without even touching them. I've got nothing to help with my washing of the dishes." "Aww, poor Maz. I've got something that might help you there..." Maz raised an eyebrow at Dayna, who looked intently at the sink his hand was in. She looked like she was focusing on something in the water, and it wasn't until it was too late before Maz realized that she was focusing on the water itself; a sudden gust of air blew some of the water up out of the sink and took Maz completely by surprise, covering his hair and shoulders in a thick layer of frothy soap and water.
From the look on his face, she expected him to explode. Maybe she'd done the wrong thing, maybe she'd further screwed up tonight. She thought maybe she'd gone too far, and for an instant, she was sorry...
Maz turned to the basin, dipped his hand into the water, and splashed at her -- a large dose of water flew out of the sink and landed all over her top, and down the side of her shirt. Maz let out a small round of laughter; Dayna was surprised at what just happened. Smiling at her team-mates, she used her wind powers and blew a large layer of bubbles all over Maz, but before the cloud could hit Maz, he disappeared quickly into his shadow form. Dematerializing mere milliseconds before the cloud hit, he avoided contact with the bubbles -- a cloud which, in the absence of Maz, was now headed straight for Sorien.
Water fight!

Sorien, oblivious to what was going on, only noticed when Maz disappeared. He turned to Dayna to see what was going on. "Whump". The soap bubbles hit Sorien square in the face, leaving him to look much like Santa. He stood dumbstruck, blinking. He raised both eyebrows, and with a wave of his hand, evaporated the bubbles on his face.
Noticing that the sink was now empty, he took a few steps over, and scooped up and handful, and let it fly at Dayna.

As Maz dematerialized, the fog that was heading for him swooped over Sorien with a great WHUMP. She let out a howl of laughter -- to which the others in the kitchen looked at them puzzled. Kids.
She was too busy laughing to notice that Sorien scooped a handful of water at her. Splash! all over her face and glasses, her hair soaking up some of the water, leaving her a dripping wet mess.
"Dah! Maz! Heeeelllp meeeee!!!" she cried out.
Appearing behind her, Maz held his hands together to form a cup, which was full of water. "Ooooh, pickin' on a lady, eh Sorien? You'll have to learn a thing or two about that." Dayna raised her fist at Sorien. "Yeah! You're in for it now! Two-on-o..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Maz let the water fall -- all over Dayna's back, her top slowly absorbing that which her teammate poured all over her; she let out a loud shriek, as not only was the water cold, but it was pretty much FREEZING. "OH MY GOD THAT'S COLD!!!" she let out, before turning to Maz, seemingly furious.
Maz began to laugh. "Two on one indeed."

Minutes later, after their water fight had finished, Dayna found herself a towel and dried her face and hair. The boys chuckled. "...thanks, guys," said Dayna sombrely. "For what?" "There've... those guys out there, drinking all night long, making passes at me..." "... the noisy bunch we can hear from in here?" "Yeah... "Maz nodded. "I know we're not supposed to..." -- Maz paused, as if he wanted to suggest a violence he shouldn't -- "...but, we're here for you if you need us, Dayna. Rules may be rules, but... above everything else, you come first. To me, at least. And whatever you wanna do..."He turned and nodded at Sorien. The same went for him too. They were all a part of the team, after all. She nodded, and sighed. She supposed she'd been hiding in here for too long. "Alright... well, wish me luck then... and strength." "Ganbatte, ne?"* * * * * * * The night went on, and the night didn't seem to get any better for Dayna. Every time she went out through those doors, she feared those guys would call out to her; every time she walked past the table, she hid caution and paranoia behind a smile. At last, as the night was beginning to wrap up and people were starting to make their ways home, hope began to find its way through Dayna again. It was almost finished. And soon, they were going to le--... "Excuse me, waitress!"That voice almost stopped her cold. The voice of the blond haired man. She turned around, and made her way to Table #8. Still noisy, still rowdy. It was a wonder they hadn't been asked to leave before. Yeah. Like, five seconds after walking through the door. "There's gonna be a party at my house, if you wanna come. It's alright, you'd fit right in with the crowd that are coming."Party sounds okay, with the right people -- which these guys weren't. One of the guys jabbed the quiet one in the side, and let out a cackle of laughter. That was funny? Scum. "So, if you wanna meet up afterwards..." "...I'll think about it."Her thoughts drifted slowly to her team mates. Whatever I wanna do... they'd stand beside me, right?... they'd... understand. But would they forgive her if... "... alright, I'll, see you in ten minutes, out the front."* * * * * * * Dayna burst through the doors to the kitchen, where her team mates were finishing up. "Guys, I need your help." "Sure thing, whaddya need?"* * * * * * * Ten minutes later, the group of men were standing outside the restaurant, jeering at everyone that passed by. A small spark lit up, and passed its way around the group; now that they were finally out of the restaurant, they could smoke. Soon after, the conversation turned towards the "young waitress", who was meant to be meeting up with them any moment now. "Where is she, man?" "I have no idea. I can't wait for somma'dat, though." "Yeah, I'll say. Did you check out the way that ass was movin', dude? Dayom..." "Mmm-MMM!" He high fived his buddy. "It's all on tonight, man."Right on cue, the door opened; all heads faced the door in complete unison, in bewilderment. The young waitress emerged, looking twice as dazzling as she did inside -- on her right arm she had a young red haired chap, and the other a taller dark-skinned fellow. Something was wrong here, thought the blond haired man. "Hey, uh, you ready to go?" "Sorry guys, I found some other men to hang out with. And they're alot better than you'll ever be." "So, you're not coming with us then?" "Like ANYONE'D go home with you guys."The blond man shook his head, disappointed. "S'your loss, babe. We coulda had some fun times, y'know..." His hand reached for her... ...suddenly, Maz's arm snapped out and whacked the man's hand away from Dayna -- he shot the man a look as if to say "Don't touch her." "Whoa, there man, what's your problem?"Maz didn't say a word; he just looked at him callously, half-smirking. Dayna added, "You don't look like you could be any fun anyway."Together, Team Masoda strutted past the group. They couldn't believe that these two blokes managed to get away with the prized trophy of the evening. Maz, on the other hand, walked with a certain pride in his step -- just like Dayna had told him to. "Have a fun time at home alone tonight... boys." "Yeah.... go on, get lost!... you filthy very *friendly* person!" they taunted. As they walked down the street, the snide comments behind them, Maz looked to Dayna. His eyes dimmed, his voice turned cold. "Should I?"She shook her head. No need for vengeance. They weren't worth it. * * * * * * * "Sorry for using you guys like that." Even though that was a D-rank mission, Dayna felt like it was one of the worst experiences in her life. "Hey, like I said. Anything you need, eh? I'm... here for ya. Next time... we'll kill the scum." Maz smirked. "...thanks, Maz."* * * * * * * From his office, Soba-san could see the happenings on the street. Turning to his desk, he finished off the report for the group -- a report he told the group he would drop off at the Ninja Administration Building the next day. The group of Genin sent tonight were very helpful in the running of our restaurant. One of them was willing to complete extra tasks and deal with customers directly, a job very well carried out. One incident in particular dealt with an impolite group of customers with utmost respect, even though they had been rude to her all night long. The other two Genin were also very efficient and filled in for their team mate while she was busy. Together this group was able to hold it together, and in the face of everything else managed to stay in control of themselves all night long, never once resorting to violence. Very highly recommended group. Wish them all the best for the future.Soba placed the pen down on the table, and looked outside. The group had finally left. Quiet at last. Silently, he spoke. "A job well done, guys."* * * * * * * * * * * *
