After Iro had been introduced, he had finally started to relax some. That was, until "He's on my three man genin team"
Iro could hear the twinge of pan in her voice after she said it. She tried to smooth it over, but Iro had gotten used to reading peoples voices.
He let out a sigh, "Hello there Matsu-kun. Nice to meet you"

"Haaaaah!" There was a loud crack, and the fallen log split cleanly in two. Akina grinned, then examined her hand. She was getting better; these large tasks were hardly breaking skin anymore. And the split was perfect; no splinters had flown anywhere. With a bit of chakra, she restored to her hand to perfect health, but then stopped. There was a sudden flurry of activity and chakra a little ways away from where she was. I guess it can't hurt to take a look, she thought with a grin, and set off for the treetops.
This was one situation where her tiny size came in extremely handy. Her delicate build and light weight enabled her to reach heights unattainable by larger shinobi. She flew with ease from branch to branch, finally situating herself in the top of a pine tree overlooking a stream where several shinobi were gathered, talking. She grinned, and waited for one of them to notice her.

Yamiko also sighed, his silver gaze drifting to the other male. He nodded and studied Iro a moment before giving a sort of forced smile as that was what you apparently do when you meet someone: you smile.
"Hello..."
He shivered a little and water droplets ran down his face. He scowled inwardly and directed his gaze back to the water, his bracelets beginning to rattle softly. He closed his eyes and lowered his head, not really wanting to deal with what the hollow warning was indicating.

Nada watched the two boys greet each other. Well, this seemed a little ackward. Diverting her attention elsewhere, she glanced to the trees nearby. She sensed someone there... and they felt sort of familiar.

Typical that the only fellow Jounin in the group would be the only one to sense her presence. Truthfully, she would have been a little concerned had the scenario been any different. Gathering for a great leap, she sprang out of the tree and dropped quickly to the ground in a graceful crouch which she quickly straightened from. "Hi," she said with a friendly smile as if she hadn't just dropped from impossible heights right into the middle of their conversation.

Nada blinked as Akina dropped--seemingly from the sky--and landed right in their midst. This day was becoming really strange... not that you could expect normalcy from a village of shinobi. Deciding to roll with the punches, Nadameru returned the smile.
"Good afternoon, Akina-san."

"Afternoon," she said brightly, then turned to the others in the group - Genin, guessing by appearance. "I don't believe we've been introduced," she mused. "I'm Tokoharu Akina, special Jounin and assistant to Kaori-sama. A pleasure to meet you. And you two are....?"

He opened his eyes at the sound of another and sighed deeply, disappointed and a little angry with himself for not sensing the fourth villager. He shifted slightly to turn and look, his silver gaze drifting over Akina.
He nodded again, offering that strained smile once more in greeting before bowing his head slightly, his hair still dripping.
"Hello...I'm...I'm Matsu Yamiko."
His sentance ended a little awkwardly though as he really had nothing else to add. No title or position to his name...atleast none he felt worth stating.

Iro stood there, not quite sure what to say to this puzzling individual. Luckily another awkward silence was broken by another awkward entrance. A shinobi, assumedly a Jounin or such, appeared in the group seemingly from the sky. Iro fell flat on his behind in surprise at the new person. He scratched his head, I don't think this day could possibly get any odder.
The woman introduced herself to the group as Tokoharu Akina. Apparently she was the assistant to the hokage herself. No wonder she surprised me so much.
Iro let out a small sigh, "Kokoro Iro, a pleasure to meet you Tokoharu-san"

Akina nodded. "A pleasure," she echoed, before turning a surveying eye on the silver-haired Genin. He showed signs of recent strain... combined with that surge of chakra she felt earlier.... Maybe the chakra had come from someone else too - she suspected most of it had come from Homura-san; a jounin's training tended to be difficult to miss if one knew what to look for. Still, it was easy to tell that Kokoro-kun wasn't the most comfortable person in the world. "You've been training hard, haven't you? How do you feel right now?" she asked him, trying to figure out what in the world he could have been doing.

"You've been training hard, haven't you? How do you feel right now?" Tokoharu-sama said.
Iro face quickly went white as he heard this. How does she know I was training hard? Iro swallowed audibly, "a little bit of training, nothing compared to what a shinobi of your or Nadameru-sensei's level does." Iro uncounsciously scratched his head. "I feel fine," Iro tried to sound convincing, "it's a beautiful day out."
Iro knew he sounded like a complete, bold faced liar. Even know, it took most of his concentration to keep his legs from shaking, most likely why he came up with such a bad answer.
"Why do you ask?" Iro tried to force out a small chuckle.

Akina put on a knowing grin. "I'm a medical specialist," she explained. "I'm specially trained to detect physical ailments through visual diagnosis, and treat them accordingly." She paused. "And I can tell that you've been overexerting yourself. Come on, sit down," she ordered. "Let me have a look at you."

Iro had been caught red-handed, and there was no sense in denying now. He sat down, plopping his feet into the river, creating a splash. "It'd really nothing... just a nice workout is all. Honestly." Iro was hoping she wouldn't let out what he was doing... I wonder if she can actually tell what I was doing... or if she can just tell I overexerted myself.
"So... how do I look?"
Hopefully better than you feel, you idiot.

Akina kneeled next to the exhausted Genin, placing one hand on his forehead and the other over his heart. She could tell he was nervous. Just what was he doing, anyways? she wondered as the familiar chakra of Konpuriito Shindan, her Sensei's own jutsu of complete diagnosis, flowed through her hands. There wasn't any real damage, but.... What's this? she sensed chakra gathering in miniscule amounts to his eyes - just like Kaori-sama's Kiryoku Fuuin, but the flow was different, as to be expected from someone with less experience.
"So... how do I look?" Kokoro-kun's question interrupted her thoughts. "You're fine," Akina told him, "you just extremely overexerted yourself. Be careful; push it too much and you could do some serious damage to yourself, and not just affecting what it is you were trying to do," the slight emphasis she placed on that statement suggested she was suspicious of something. "I've treated ninja who have destroyed their ability to live as shinobi because they tried to use their chakra in a way they couldn't handle. It was too much for them." She sighed. "Lecture over," she said, only half jokingly. "Now, relax as much as possible, breathe deep, even breaths...." she spoke in a soothing tone, her voice luring everyone around them to become more relaxed.
She gathered up carefully stored chakra in her hands. "Iryou Ninpou," she muttered softly, "Jikokensa no Jutsu!" Her hands came to life with the familiar greenish glow of healing chakra, restoring Kokoro-kun's exhausted body with a cool, refreshing feeling. Within a couple moments it was over, and she sat back with a grin.
"Tell me, how do you feel now?" she asked.

"You're fine, you just extremely overexerted yourself. Be careful; push it too much and you could do some serious damage to yourself, and not just affecting what it is you were trying to do." She put a large amount of emphasis on the last few words. After that came the expected lecture on not overexerting yourself, "Lecture over! Now, relax as much as possible, breathe deep, even breaths..." she told him in a soothing tone
Before Iro could ask why he was supposed to relax, Akina had already begun her Jutsu, "Iryou Ninpou," she muttered softly, "Jikokensa no Jutsu!"
"Tell me, how do you feel now?" she asked.
Iro was amazed, unlike a only a few moments before, he was no longer tired at all. He felt like he had just slept for days. "I feel great!" he said, realizing halfway through how dumb he sounded, and tried to tone down his excitement. "Arigato Gozaimasu Tokoharu-sama!"
