Quite some time later, Hoshiko was still wandering the streets of Hidden Sand, her gaze focused on the piece of paper in front of her eyes.
"Let's see..." she mumbled to herself as she trudged along. "Take a left hand turn here, walk about a block, aaaaaaand.... take a right at the bookstore."
Looking up at where the bookstore should be, Hoshiko came face-to-face with a dango shop. The gentle breeze blew some dust across an empty road.
Oh, dear.

Miyuki sighed with relief and adjusted her bags on her shoulders as she reached the front of the Crescent Moon Inn. Once inside, she walked up to the front desk, checked in, and got her room key.
"Room 411," she said to herself quietly as she gazed up the stairs, "Top floor.....Hmm..." Clasping her hands together in a simple seal, she disappeared in a flash and a crackle, then reappeared at the top of the staircase on her floor.
"That certainly saved me a lot of work," she mumbled under her breath as she headed towards her room. When she finally reached it, she unlocked the door and entered.
She gazed around the room, taking it all in. "Finally, I can rest!" Walking around, she managed to find the closet. She tossed her things inside then removed her heavy sandals and set them next to her bags before closing the door again. She then walked over to the table and plopped down into one of the chairs. It felt so nice! She hadn't been able to have a nice sit down for days.
"I wonder when my roommates will get here?" she sighed. "I hope they aren't rambuncious..."

Hoshiko stepped out of the Dango shop, one stick of the delectable treats sticking out of her mouth - the first dumpling already gone - and the others tucked safely inside the box that sat in the small bag looped on her arm. She had gone in to ask directions, but ended up just buying Dango instead.
Oh, well.
I'd better retrace my steps, she thought, and set off in what she thought was the direction from whence she came.
She was wrong.
Where there should have been a grocery stand, there was instead a souvenir cart set up to attract the visitors from Konoha. The whimsical trinkets and glittering odds and ends caught Hoshiko's jewelry-loving eye immediately. Asking for directions once again forgotten, she let out a squeal of delight and hurried over to the stand.

Nadameru sighed in relief as she found the inn without any real difficulty and got checked in. Climbing the stairs, she dragged her luggage up to the fourth floor and found room 411. Using her key, she opened the door and stepped inside, finding somewhere to drop her bags for the time being.
As she looked up, she realized that one of her roommates was already present. Bowing quickly, she introduced herself.
"Ah, looks like we'll be staying together... I'm Homura Nadameru." Straightening, she brushed her bangs out of her eyes and moved to sit down on one of the nearby beds.

Hoshiko hummed happily to herself as she walked away from the stand, a small package containing star-shaped earrings tucked safely in her back pouch. Still munching away at her Dango, she paused to look around.
"I guess I had better keep retracing my steps..." she murmured to herself. "But which way was it again....?"
The breeze picked up again as she gazed around, utterly lost.
"My sense of direction tells me," she said aloud, "This way!"
And with that, she set off in what she would later learn was the completely wrong direction.

Miyuki turned around when she heard the door open. The young woman that walked in didn't seem to notice that she was there and went to set her things down.
Finally acknowledging Miyuki's presence, she introduced herself with a bow. Ah, looks like we'll be staying together... I'm Homura Nadameru. She then went to have a seat on one of the cushions.
"It certainly looks like it...My name is Yanagawa Miyuki. It's nice to meet you, Nadameru-san," she said with a smile.

(OoC: REVIVING THIS! I'm back, hopefully for a good long while. Sorry for not posting for so long! I know I'm not the only one who's been busy with school....)
Nada returned the smile. "It's nice to meet you too, Yanagawa-san." She paused for a moment as repeating the name seemed to cause it to register in her mind. She should have realized it sooner, of course.
"Yanagawa," she said slowly. "You wouldn't happen to know Kohana-chan, would you?" she asked.

It's nice to meet you too, Yanagawa-san. the young woman answered, pausing for a moment before speaking up again. Yanagawa...You wouldn't happen to know Kohana-chan, would you?
Miyuki chuckled, crossing her arms. "Ah. Yes...Kohana. She's my cousin." She leaned slightly towards Nadameru, lifting an eyebrow and tilting her chin downward as she continued. "How do you know her?"

She grinned at the statement that Miyuki was Kohana's cousin. She probably should have noticed the family resemblance a lot sooner.
"I'm the jounin sensei for the Kohana's genin team," she explained. "It's very nice to be able to meet some of her family," she went on with a smile.

Hoshiko trudged wearily up the steps of the Crescent Moon Inn, burdened by her many bags - the number of which had increased significantly since she left the caravan earlier - and nearly suffocating in her Chuunin gear. At last she reached it - Room 411! Sighing, she realized she didn't have any hands free with which to open the door. So she did the only thing she could do.
She kicked the door open.
It flew open, swinging inward to bounce off the wall and bound towards her again. Hoshiko stopped it with her still-raised foot and then bounded into the room dramatically.
"Fear not, my lovely ladies!" she declared as she struck a pose, "for the Wonderful and Amazing Hoshiko-sama has arrived! Hehe!" she giggled, holding the pose for a moment longer before dropping her bags and kicking off her shoes. Suddenly, though, she noticed who else was in the room.
"KYAAA!" she squealed in delight. "Miyukiiiiii! What a coincidence that I'd get to share a room with one of my most favoritest cousins ever!" Still squealing, she leapt forward to embrace the woman in a great big hug.

I'm the jounin sensei for the Kohana's genin team. It's very nice to be able to meet some of her family.
Miyuki smiled pleasantly, relaxing her arms and resting her hands on her hips. "Well, it certainly is an honor to get to share a room with my little cousin's sensei! So, how is she doing? I want to know every detail of how her training is going."
Just as she finished her sentence, the door flew open and slammed against the wall. Miyuki jumped and whipped around to see the intruder, carrying a rather large amount of luggage and merchandise, standing in the doorway, their foot raised to catch the ricocheting door. They vaulted into the room.
Fear not, my lovely ladies, for the Wonderful and Amazing Hoshiko-sama has arrived! Hehe!
The smile faded from Miyuki's face as the tremedous feeling of dread washed over her. Her arms fell limp at her side, her eyes widened in horror. Oh no... she thought. Please...Let it be a mistake.
KYAAA! Miyukiiiiii! What a coincidence that I'd get to share a room with one of my most favoritest cousins ever! the hyper white-haired Chuunin squealed, nearly knocking poor Miyuki off her feet as she pulled her into a nice, big hug.
"H-h-hello, Hoshiko-chan. What a pleasant surprise!" she said, a nervous, toothy smile spreading across her face. She felt as if she wanted to scream and cry and run. She felt so trapped, cornered, so totally out of control of the situation. There was nothing she could do to get her room changed...She was going to have to deal with it. "Um...Hoshiko-chan, would you mind...letting me go? I'm having difficulty breathing..."

Nada laughed slightly at Miyuki's demand for information. She was about to respond, when out of nowhere, the door burst open with a loud bang. Leaping to her feet, she whirled around, kunai in hand. After the events of the caravan she was terribly on edge.
Blinking, she lowered her weapon as the girl tackled Miyuki in a hug. Cousin? She raised an eyebrow. So, this was more of Kohana's family?
Miyuki looked absolutely horrified. Nada decided to stay out of it and watch until the hyper shinobi happened to notice her.

"Um...Hoshiko-chan, would you mind...letting me go?" Miyuki asked the hyperactive Chuunin. "I'm having difficulty breathing..."
Hoshiko immediately leapt back. "Kyaa!" she squeaked. "I'm so sorry! I was just so excited that I..." she trailed off as she noticed the room's other occupant, a beautiful Shinobi who appeared to be about Hoshiko's age, maybe a little younger.
"Oh! I'm so sorry to you, too!" she exclaimed, bouncing over to the woman. "How rude of me to not introduce myself! I'm Yanagawa Hoshiko. Pleased to meetcha!"

"Homura Nadameru," she replied. "Pleased to meet you as well."
This girl was certainly energetic. Nada only hoped that she would be able to keep up with her.

"Kyaa!" Hoshiko squealed at an indoors-appropriate volume, "This is so exciting! A mission to the Sand, and who knows what kinds of fun things to do!" She began dancing around the room as she spoke, her eyes sparkling. "Meeting new people, learning new things... and the shopping! There's all kinds of carts and stores and sales! It's---" Whatever it was, the other two Kunoichi would never know, because Hoshiko had failed to notice the table and chairs. Her foot had come down on one of the low chairs during her dance. In a split-second's time, the cushion had taken off, bringing Hoshiko with it. She landed with a loud WHUMP on the floor.
"Owww..." the white-haired Chuunin managed between fits of giggling laughter.
