Here they are, at last! Team Akina!
Akihara Izumi (“Spring” or “Fountain”)
Rank: Chuunin
Age: 16
Gender: F
Height: 5'9”
Build: Average, slightly on the curvy side
Hair: Icy Blue
Eyes: Bright Pink
Fighting Style: Weapons specialist
Blood Type: B
Chakra Type: Lightning
Personality: Solemn and serious, Izumi is the quiet one of the group. Her even-keeled temperament and ability to keep her cool have made her the stabilizing force in the team – balancing out Tatsuya's carefree attitude and Shinako's energetic optimism in the face of any crisis. Behind the calm, cool, attitude, however, lies a love of fun that's equally as strong as either of her team members. Her motto is “always in moderation” - no matter the situation, she never believes in going for overkill. Her mature attitude and intelligence led to her being admitted into the academy a year early – she was the youngest in her class to graduate, and doesn't like being reminded that she's the “baby” of the group.
Likes: Reading, training, spending time with her team
Dislikes: Loud noises, chaos
History: Izumi's hisoty is pretty average. She is in a family of five; her father and older brother are both Shinobi, while her younger sister simply looks forward to marrying and having a happy family like her mother. Her father lost his right eye in the War, but that was the only loss in her immediate family. Seeing the terrors of war had quite an effect on Izumi, and she has grown quieter and more introverted since she became involved in the battles. No matter what, though, she continues – underneath the silent, pensive exterior lies a strength of pure steel. Izumi is a survivor.
Tokoharu Tatsuya (“To be a Dragon”)
Rank: Chuunin
Age: 17
Gender: M
Height: 6'1”
Build: Slender but athletic
Hair: Red
Eyes: Green
Fighting Style: Taijutsu Specialist
Blood Type: O
Chakra Type: Earth
Personality: Suave and charming, Tatsuya is a real ladies' man. That doesn't mean he's a player, though. He values respect and friendship, and will go out of his way to maintain a proper level of respect towards other people – even though he can be quite the jokester among his friends and family. He loves to smile and laugh, and making other people smile and laugh along with him.
Likes: Pretty girls, being with the people he loves
Dislikes: Rude/disrespectful behavior, needless violence
History: Like his teammates, Tatsuya's pre-war history was pretty “average” for a shinobi. When he was in the Academy, he would get into trouble for trying to charm all the girls in his class – and even a couple female teachers. He tended to be a bit of a slacker, always passing but sometimes he would just get too lazy to put forth full effort. He surprised all his teachers on the day of his graduation from the Academy when he gave 100% and passed with flying colors. Because of his history in the Academy, some of his peers tend to underestimate him, but that's not a wise idea – he shares his Aunt Akina's physical strength (if not her height, or lack thereof) and has always has a talent for Taijutsu over the other two arts. Indeed, he can hardly even use Genjutsu at all. During the final battle of the war, one of his best friends, Daisuke, was killed when their squadron broke through a Hidden Stone stronghold on Konoha's Eastern border. Ever since, Tatsuya has carried a picture of himself and Daisuke, smiling together after their promotion to Chuunin. Since the two could not continue to grow together as Shinobi, Tatsuya has vowed to become excellent enough for the both of him. At the memorial service for those killed in the war, Daisuke's family presented Tatsuya with Daisuke's forehead protector. It is now Tatsuya's most valued treasure, and serves as a reminder of Tatsuya's vow, and of the happy memories he has with his friend.
Tensei Shinako (“Virtuous Child”)
Rank: Chuunin
Age: 17
Gender: F
Height: 5'7”
Build: Slender, slightly curvy
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue
Fighting Style: Poisoned spear combined with sound-based Genjutsu
Blood Type: AB
Chakra Type: Fire
Personality: Bright and cheerful, Shinako is definitely the encourager of the group. Ever the optimist, she manages to keep the team going even when she herself feels scared, stressed, or depressed. She has a lot of energy and loves to sing. However, when she gets serious – look out.
Likes: Music, her friends and family, teamwork, protecting people
Dislikes: Not working as a team, being unable to cheer people up
History: Born into the large Tensei clan, Shinako was trained from childhood in the methods of chakra control and the discipline of music. Like the other Tensei, she is skilled at combining jutsu for a greater effect and has an above-average skill with chakra control (relative to her age and rank, of course). She was an A-B student in the Academy and graduated with the rest of her class. Until the War, her life was pretty normal. Then, in the final battle, her paternal grandparents and her father – Tensei Kanaye, the late Brother of Tensei Kaori – sacrificed their lives in the final battle to protect the Leaf. Since then, the burden of being a Shinobi has weighed heavily upon her shoulders. Despite her sadness at her loss, however, she is proud of the sacrifices her family made – and has since vowed to live up to their legacy of Heroism and dedication.
