......... well then. The Triplets shared a look; this definitely wasn't something that happened every day. "You got that, Hideko?" Daichi asked quietly. "Yeah, I got it," she replied in all seriousness, passing the clipboard to him. "He's in Tent 7.""Good, good," Daichi said, giving the recorded information a once-over before passing the clipboard and pen to the teenage boy standing before him. "Sign here," he instructed. "It just affirms that the information you gave us is correct, and acknowledges that you've been given your assignment."

The atmosphere changed rather suddenly. That was...unexpected. Taking the clipboard, Utsuro silently scribed down his signature, sloppy as it was. Granted, he hadn't had much time to practice his penmanship. "T-thank you." Well I'm lost. The hell just happened here?

"Thank you, sir!" Daichi quipped with his usual grin, taking back the keyboard with what seemed to be a return to his usual good humor. "Hideko, here's this. Eiji, can you get us a gofer?""Sure thing, boss!" Eiji replied with a salute before sticking his head out one of the separations in the tentflaps. "OOOOI!" he shouted quite loudly. " "I NEED A RUNNER IN HERE!""Eiji!" Hideko scolded, giving the youngest brother a whack on the head with the clipboard. "Not so loud!""OW! Daichiiii! Hideko's beating me up again!""I wouldn't have to if you wouldn't deafen the refugees!""You're no fun, you know that?""Heheheh.... sorry about those two," Daichi told the two kids with a slightly embarrassed grin. "Don't worry, we're like this all the time. By the way, the shifts change of course, but generally they try and keep the same group of people in rotation to take care of the shelters so it's easier to get to know who's looking out for you. I'm Tensei Daichi, and those two are my siblings: my sister Hideko, and my brother Eiji. Welcome to Konoha, Tsutomegi-kun!"

No matter where you go...who they are... Utsuro thought to himself, a ghost of a smile on his face, watching the antics of the trio. Siblings will be siblings..The flicker of warmth inside him was short lived, however, as official introductions were made. Tensei. Three of them already, and he'd only just entered the village. This did not bode well. "Th-thank you, D-daichi-sama. It's n-n-nice to m-meet you all.."

"Yeah, it's good to meet you too, kid," Daichi said with a grin. "Now. As soon as that runner gets here, you can settle in to your new home. Not that it's much, unfortunately, but with the guest lodgings hit in the battle, it's the best we can offer until we can be sure the building's still safe. Hyuuga-kun, right?" Hanae nodded. "You can go back to your station," he told the girl warmly with a dismissing nod. "Good work.""Well, looks like this is where you and I go our own ways," Hanae said to the boy she was beginning to hope would become a new friend. "Let's keep in touch, okay?" She wasn't sure what prompted her to do it, but she offered the boy a quick hug before moving to leave the tent. "Good luck with everything!" And with that, she turned to head back to the wall. As she left, she heard another boy's voice speak up; he must have entered the tent through the wall flaps, squeezing between two of the tables. "Yo~! You called, Aniki?"

"O..O-k-kay.." Nodding, he'd barely been able to react in time to the seemingly impromptu hug before Hanae was out of the tent and gone. It was at that precise second something that had been said smacked him upside the cerebellum. Turning back to Daichi with a slightly stunned look on his face. "D-did you s-say Hyuuga?" Not a name to inspire pause quite like Tensei, but it was still one of the village's legendary clans. To think that she was one.. Not to perceptive tonight, are ya kid?

"Huh?" Daichi asked over the racket of Eiji and the runner greeting each other quite boisterously. Honestly! Why had the kid felt the need to come in from the side of the tent? He really should be taking more steps to separate him from Eiji; those two bonding just couldn't be a good thing for everyone else's sanity. "Yeah, yeah I did. Hanae-kun is the current heir to the clan. Real nice kid. Her Dad, however... Anyways. Why do you ask?"

The HEIR to the CLAN?! And she had just behaved like anyone else....worse, he had been completely ignorant of this fact! The heir of one of the most influential clans in Konoha's history had been RIGHT beside him, when he was at his absolute worst!! "S..she didn't...m-mention...th-that..." Utsuro mumbled, feeling rather faint from the combined stress of the evening. "Sh-should have...paid..resp-pects....someth-thing.." He wavered a bit, slumping a little lower. A chance to make a good impression on a valuable person, and he mistook her for just a common girl. And..what was that tone about her father for? Was the Hyuuga head not so pleasant? Discerning? Xenophobic?

"Paid respects?" Daichi asked with a chuckle. In the background, he could hear Hideko chiding the two boys for making too much noise; both were complaining in almost identical tones. "A little old-fashioned, aren't you? Listen, if your current language is any indication, I'm sure you behaved appropriately. Besides, Hanae-kun is a nice girl, from what I hear of her. She wouldn't like it if you made a big fuss over her just because of something like that. And are you three done over there!?" he snapped at the group in the back of the tent.

Utsuro just nodded dumbly. She HAD be nice. It hadn't been the first time he'd been called old-fashioned, either. The longer he was away from home, the more distant he felt from everyone else. Was he really THAT unusual? The fact that he had finally reached his destination, though, combined with his already mountainous allotment of exhaustion, caused his knees to buckle underneath him once more. Not that he was glad Daichi-sama was yelling, but he hoped whatever they were up to was indeed nearly finished. At this rate, a blackout was very nearly possible.

Daichi turned back from calming things down in the back of the tent just in time to see Tsutomegi-kun collapse. Whether it was from the weight of that giant bundle on his back or just due to sheer exhaustion, it was hard to tell. Probably both. "What the-!?" he exclaimed, taken aback. "Hey! Hey! Hang in there, kid! Hideko, go grab whatever medic you can find and get them to tent seven, and now. Eiji, help me get this pack off him." The two named shinobi moved quickly to do as told, and soon Hideko was nowhere to be seen, while Tsutomegi-kun was relieved of his burden. "There. C'mon, kid, let's get you on your feet again. Think you can stand on your own?" he asked, helping the boy to his feat and preparing to catch him if he fell again.

"M'f-f-fine...just...t-tired.." Doing his best to lie, he doubted the believability of the statement. He doubted there was even a term for his condition, a combination of starvation, malnourishment, dehydration, and severe exhaustion. But he had persevered this long. Another couple of days wouldn't kill him. Besides, he was also rather loathe to part with his bundle of possessions..it was all that remained intact of Tengakure, and even near a hundred pounds as it was, it was still his burden to bear alone. He nodded all the same though, doing his best not to be a dead weight against Daichi, even as a medic was called for. Utsuro...really...didn't like doctors.

"Yes, I can see that," Daichi observed, backing away - slowly, of course - to let the kid at least try and stand on his own. "Eiji, you take him to the tent and make sure he doesn't pass out on the way there. You there - " he addressed the runner whom Eiji had summoned " - Bring his bag along and wait with him for Hideko to arrive with the medic." The two named individuals nodded before moving to do as ordered. "C'mon, kiddo!" Eiji said to Tsutomegi-kun, carefully leading him out of the administration pavilion, down the rows of tents, and towards their destination. "Let's get you to a nice, comfy cot in a nice, comfy tent. It's not much, but I'm sure you'll like it better than standing around yakking all night."

"S'b-better 'n the ground...'n s-some leaves.." Utsuro mumbled in response, the fatigue he'd been fighting for....some time...finally rearing it's ugly head. A tent and a cot sounded like luxury accommodations at this point in time. He hoped the runner wouldn't have too much trouble with his belongings. He'd wanted to insist on carrying it himself, but replying to Eiji had been chore enough as it was. At least it was secured tightly, and in no danger of coming open. A hundred pounds was nothing, wasn't it?

"Yeah, that's true," Eiji agreed, continuing their trek down rows of large, hunter-green tents until he found one with a large number 7 emblazoned above the entry flaps. Lit lanterns had already been hung outside the entrances to each tent, so people could see which was which and find the entrances in the growing dark. "Here we are!" he announced, opening the flap and ducking inside. One row of cots - they looked more like simple beds made out of metal, but they were still cots nonetheless - marched down each side of the long tent, though many of the ones in here appeared unoccupied. Each was outfitted with plain, utilitarian pillow, sheets and blankets, but the kid was right: these would be a luxury compared to some leaves on the ground. Or, in the case of some of the villagers, the debris-riddled streets. A few lit lanterns had been hung from the tentpoles down the center aisle, and another set of entry flaps was visible at the other end. There was only one other person in the tent at the moment, in the corner to their immediate left: a teenage girl with red-orange hair who was sitting on her cot hugging her knees and seemingly lost in her own thoughts. After glancing up at the entering pair, she went back to staring at the cot in front of her bare feet. "Well, this is it, Utsuro-kun!" Eiji announced brightly. "Home sweet home. The cots with things under them - or with people on them - are taken, but other than that, pick whichever one you want. I need to get back to Daichi, but Takeo-kun will fill you in on the ground rules when he gets here with your bag. Need help getting to your cot?" "Herk!" Takeo nearly staggered backwards under the weight of the giant backpack he had been tasked with carrying. The thing had looked heavy, but not this! heavy! "The hell's in this thing, anyway?" he wondered aloud to no one in particular, shifting his cumbersome load so it would - hopefully - be easier to carry. With a sigh, and wondering why him, he set about getting his cargo to tent seven.
