Utsuro nodded- or was his head just bobbing in an attempt to stay upright?- as he listened to Eiji-sama's explanation. It made sense, at least. He wondered briefly about the girl with the fiery hair, but there wasn't much extra energy to devote to stray thinking at the moment. Looking along the lines of cots, he tried to find one that was both unclaimed, out of the way, and if at all possible, the least comfortable-looking. He wouldn't want to put anyone else out of a better bunk, after all. "I..sh-should b-be fine...Eij-ji-sama. Th-thank you f-for your h-help." It was a wonder Eiji could hear the words at all, probably only due to proximity really. A quiet scraping sound accompanying his shuffling footsteps as he slipped away from his escort, he made his way over to the corner of the tent. The cot there looked a little lumpy, the blankets a tad worn, and the pillow a little flat; it was perfect. He wouldn't be in anyone's way here, and he could place his bundle in the corner as it clearly was not going to fit under the cot.

"Well, I guess I'll be off, then," Eiji said in reply to Utsuro-kun's saying he didn't need help. "Give us a holler if you need anything. Sleep tight, kiddo!" he finished with a wave before spinning on his heel to make an exit. On his way out he almost ran smack into Takeo-kun, who seemed to be having a bit of an issue with the massive backpack. When offered help the boy declined, but Eiji still held the tent flap open for him before making his way back to the administration tent. Whether or not he would admit it, Takeo was glad for Aniki's help with the tent flap. He'd been wondering how he was going to manage that. Still, now that he was in here, with the giant bundle obscuring much of his vision, it was hard to make out where to go next. "Tsutomegi-kun?" he asked, trying to angle around to see if he could spot the new kid. "Tsutomegi, you in here?"

Managing the hint of a nod needed to properly acknowledge Eiji-sama's statements, Utsuro turned to have a seat upon the cot. " Tsutomegi, you in here?" Ah! It was the runner with his belongings! And he seemed to be having a bit of a hard time with it. Shifting to try and go help him, he suddenly felt his foot come down on the leg of his pants as opposed to the floor. "...O..Ov-ver..h-hUAAAH!" Thrown off balance, the young man tumbled forward, head hitting the ground with a resounding 'thunk'. "Oww.." Man..weren't kidding about the protector, were ya?

Though she had initially dismissed the new faces entering the tent as just another group of ninja escorting a new arrival, Ayaka couldn't help but stare across the aisle at the scene unfolding before her. The new boy - who had taken the lumpy cot across from her - seemed to be very shy, and either very clumsy or very unlucky. Weird kid..."Ah! Tsutomegi!" Takeo exclaimed, trying to let the bundle down gently so he could go help the other boy up. His cumbersome burden escaped, though, and dropped to the ground with an ominous THUD. Well, at least he had it on the floor. Or "floor," as the case was in a tent. His arm muscles protested at the harsh treatment, but Takeo ignored the sensation as he moved to assist the fallen visitor. "You all right there, man?" he asked, offering the other boy a hand up.

He supposed it was too much to ask, to go more than a handful of hours without tripping. Or stumbling. Or stubbing a foot on a rock he hadn't noticed. Or having his bundle brush the one tree branch that was occupied by an irate squirrel. Utsuro really had no manner of luck at all. Accepting the hand up, he shakily regained his feet and tried to dust himself off, though really it was hard to tell just what had gotten marred with the state his clothes were in. Shifting his gaze to the runner...or rather, the runner's feet, he mumbled softly, doing his best not too look past the young man at his things. "M...f-fine...h-happens all th-the time.." Utsuro stated, unconciously wavering slightly from side to side. "S-sorry ffor...b-burdening y-you.." First night in a new village, and he already looked like an idiot in front of two people.

Takeo snorted. "It wasn't you who did that," he said while guiding the rather unstable Tsutomegi back to his cot, "that was Aniki. First I'm an errand boy, and now I'm a packmule? Honestly, it's like the higherups enjoy insulting us Genin! You civilians have it easy. At least you can do what you want as long as you keep out of places you're not supposed to be. Me, I'm stuck doing all the dirty work the Chuunin and Jounin are too lazy or too busy to take care of themselves. "Oh, I'm Takeo, by the way," he said with a sudden grin. "Nice to meet ya!"

Sitting down, he slumped over a bit, bracing his forearms against his knees. "I..should have handled it...myself...forgive me for causing you t-trouble...Takeo-sama...I..sh-should have b-been stronger..and..I h-hope you are g-given more worthwhile work soon."

What? That wasn't what Takeo had meant at all! He had just been trying to be friendly, not dump all his worries on this strange kid. He was interrupted, though, by a familiar voice. "He's in here, Auntie. Thank you for coming so quickly."Takeo looked up at the sound of the voice just in time to see Hideko-san enter the tent, followed by a second figure... .... and the atmosphere completely changed. The woman who entered the tent after Hideko-san was tall, with blonde hair that fell partially into her face. The rest had been pulled back into a braid, but it was obvious she had been working hard. Though her face was calm, her Jounin's uniform was dirty and looked slept in, and her braid wasn't as neat as it had been. There was command in this woman's piercing blue eyes, and anyone who had been in Konoha recently knew why. Hers was a notorious name in Konoha; during and now after the war she had been and was still everywhere, taking the lead wherever she was needed and lending a hand wherever she could. "Eh?" he gasped before he could stop himself, wondering just what kind of coincidence would lead to her being the first medic Hideko-san could find. "You're..." "This is him, then?" Kaori asked Hideko as she swept into the tent behind the younger woman. She didn't need the other's nod, though; the boy in the corner fit Hideko's description quite well. "Step aside, child," she told the teenager standing next to the cot - an Uchiha, by the look of him - as she moved closer. He obeyed without hesitation, slipping across the aisle to sit on an empty cot. "Now, then," she said, turning her full attention to the young man seated on the cot before her. "Let's have a look at you. Tell me, what do you remember of what happened?"

Hideko-sama had returned with the medic, apparently a relative of hers to boot. Utsuro really disliked doctors as of late, and the moment this woman stepped into the room, the feeling of dread only worsened. Takeo-sama had reacted in shock. Was she a bad medic? A bad person? She certainly did not appear to be cruel, but he knew all too well how deceiving looks could be. And the triplets had been kind enough to him, it was difficult to believe a relative of their might not be as well. But...this also meant she was a Tensei. He'd have to be on his guard. She certainly had a commanding and intimidating presence to her, to be certain. Still...she was supposedly here to help him...Utsuro would have to cooperate for now. He was in no condition to fight off anyone, much less a room full of people. "....I..j-just...g-got weak...I've b-been travelling f-for awhile..knees gave out..th-that's all.."

"Oh, for heaven's sake, child," Kaori sighed, brushing the boy's hair out of his face to press a gentle hand against his forehead. "I don't bite. Now, hold still and try to relax for me. Iryou Ninpou: Kanpekina Shinryou*!" Upon completion of the jutsu awareness bloomed in Kaori's mind of her patient's state, the impressions she received becoming clearer and more detail as her chakra flowed, leaving what would feel to the patient like a cool, gentle sensation not dislike moving underwater. He was severely exhausted, though next to near-desperate dehydration and malnourishment, that was the least of the boy's worries. He also seemed to have hit his head recently, but aside from a slight ache it would leave no damage. There was also something... odd... about the boy's chakra system, but that was unimportant at the moment as it was clearly not the cause of his episode. She made a mental note to look into it later, and promptly returned her attention to the problems at hand. Having learned everything she needed to know, Kaori stopped the jutsu and removed her hand, turning instead to the large bag she had brought in with her. It contained a number of medical supplies she had picked up at one of the aid stations to bring back to the Tensei clan grounds - which were also serving as a miniature hospital for the clan, considering the state of many of the members - but if some of the items were needed here, so be it. "Well," she said matter-of-factly to her patient, "you're exhausted, half-starved, and dry as a bone. But you probably already knew that. Eat this," she instructed, handing him a soldier pill before returning to her pack, "and lie down. I'll need to run an IV to get you properly hydrated again, and besides, I don't want you hitting your head if you pass out. "You there," she said to the Uchiha across the aisle, not bothering to look up as she searched for the items she needed. " Run to the nearest aid station and tell them I need an IV stand, and to send someone later tonight to check up on the boy here. And I suggest you hurry back. Your friend here needed this days ago." The boy dashed out, though whether it was for his companion's sake or just to get out of the tent Kaori couldn't be sure. Once he was gone, she turned back to the boy on the cot and tried to make herself seem less... imposing. "Are you afraid of needles, child?" she asked gently. *Iryou Ninpou: Kanpekina Shinryou - Medical Ninja Style: Complete Diagnosis. This is one of the medical jutsu created by Tensei Kaori.

Utsuro froze solid as her hand pressed to his head, eyes widening in terror. The hell does she think she's doing?!He could only sit and wait, in no condition to fend her off, help or not. Nothing seemed amiss, though; He could not feel anything intruding on his mind, he was not knocked out instantly, nor did the tent shift around him. Thus far, she seemed to be doing exactly what she'd supposedly been brought to do. Relaxing just slightly, he listened as she spoke. Not that there seemed to be much choice- her voice all but demanded to be taken in. Eying the pill he'd been handed, it did appear to be a common solider pill, he'd consumed enough over the past 7 years to know, and thus could detect no foul play there as it was swallowed as instructed. Though he did not so much lay down as fall backwards with a touch of aim. The thought of an IV terrified him, though. He'd heard the term before, only once, and it was an experience he'd never wish on anyone. He became further shaken by Takeo-sama's swift departure, the only other person present who seemed to eye this..Tensei Kaori with any sort of wariness. Perhaps the girl on the other cot would...no, best not to trouble others. It was curious, however, that she took the opportunity to inquire about his feelings on needles. As with the papers in the other tent, there was no point in stretching the truth, he supposed. "..T-terrified.." He murmured quietly. " n-needles....s-scalp-pels..H-hemostats...clamp-ps...restraints...re-retractors.." Utsuro avoided closing his eyes, for fear of the memories that would play across the inside of the eyelids.

Kaori paused in the middle of pulling out the things she needed and turned to eye the boy with a raised eyebrow. Just what on earth had he been through? You and I are going to have a little talk later, I believe. But not tonight."Breathe, child, breathe," she instructed gently, laying a calming hand on his arm. "I'm a doctor, not an interrogator." She invested the word with what some would call an unusual amount of scorn for a shinobi. Tensei as a whole found the traditional methods employed by interrogators to be crude and disgusting, and medical specialists did even more so. "You'll barely feel a thing, and you need this badly. I know it's hard, but you have to keep your arm relaxed. It'll just make it harder for the both of us if you let it tense up." She turned back to her preparations as she spoke, and before long she was ready to begin. "I tell my other patients not to watch if they're uncomfortable," she continued, "and the same goes for you. Close your eyes if you want, or just look away." Her already voice took on an almost hypnotic quality as she spoke; she didn't intend to cast a Genjutsu on him unless he started flailing about and became a danger to himself, but a calming voice always helped soothe skittish patients. "Take deep, deep breaths," her voice became slower and softer, "and just relax. We'll be done in no time." Even as she said those words she went about the process as gently as delicately as she knew how, and then it was over. She had always had a deft hand with a needle, and this particular patient was definitely in need of someone with skill. "As a matter of fact," she said with a smile, "we're all finished. As soon as your friend comes back with that stand, I can be on my way and you can get some rest."

What was it with him tonight and making people stop and look at him funny? Utsuro did his very best to stay relaxed. Actually, it turned out to be rather easy considering the level of fatigue he was experiencing. Once he'd laid down on the cot, it became rather difficult to exert the effort to do much of anything. Not exactly a good position to be in considering his mindset, but she did seem to be doing her best to dissuade his fears. To be honest, she seemed just slightly angered for a moment, especially when making the claim she was not, in fact, out to interrogate him. This alone was actually quite comforting, even before her voice started to make his head feel unusual. THERE! THAT'S IT! SHE'S TRYING TO help us. We need it, we're pretty bad off this time around, Ichi-sama. "Th-thank you.." He all but whispered in response, visibly settling some, most notably in his face and weary eyes.

Kaori nodded in response, glad to see that the child seemed to be calming down some. And his gratitude seemed genuine, which was reward enough for her. "I gave you a saline solution," she explained, still in a calming voice, but minus the hypnotic quality with which she had invested her words a moment ago. She even held out the bag where he would be able to read the label for himself if he wanted to. "It will replenish the water your body needs very badly right now, and it will do so far quicker and far more effectively than forcing you to choke down a barrelful of water would do. The medics will check up on you every now and then, but I'm ordering this to be left in all night at a minimum. You must not remove it yourself, understand?"

"Y-yes ma'am.." Utsuro acknowledged, not that he'd dream of trying to extract the thing himself. With his luck, he would wind up hurting himself. Considering how mind-bogglingly tired he felt, he would most likely miss the medics checking up on him as well. "..I..h-hope...I...d-did not distract you...f-from a-anything...m-more serious.." Mumbling almost inaudiably, he settled back against the cot even more, relishing in its slightly-lumpy softness.
