Name: Sekimori Yuki [関守雪]
Village: Leaf
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Rank: Genin
Blood Type: A+
Chakra Affinity: Wind
Family:
-Father: Sekimori Tsuyoshi [関守剛] (47) - Jounin
-Mother: Sekimori Michiko [関守美智子] (45) - Jounin
-Siblings: Sekimori Yasuhiro [関守恭弘] (Brother, 20) - Jounin
Sekimori Yasuko [関守康子] (Sister, deceased) – Jounin, killed in action
-Other: Various extended family
Appearance: Standing at 5'4”, Yuki is of average height for his age, with a slender, almost delicate build that could be called downright skinny. His fine, brown hair is just above shoulder-length and is usually kept pulled back for convenience's sake, though part of it usually escapes to frame his face along with the bangs he keeps in front. His clothing is simple and utilitarian, and often in the reserved colors favored by his clan. Gray eyes seem perpetually deep in thought, while his facial features are decidedly delicate. He doesn't look like much of a threat, but watch out: his build lends itself to good speed, which he has worked hard to develop.
Personality: Quiet, insightful, and analytical, Yuki's personality is that of the reserved, scientifically-minded individual. He feels a very strong need to organize everything her knows and observes into a thought-out, logical system and is more interested in applying various concepts and ideas than pursuing them theoretically, though it sometimes takes effort for him to explain things in a way other people will understand. Some people mistakenly think of him as aloof, when really he just chooses not to express himself as often or as loudly as others. By the same token, though he is a natural leader, he chooses to remain in the background until he sees a definite need to step to the forefront. On these rare occasions, however, he proves to be a very effective and efficient commander. And while he can handle stressful situations, for the most part, too much proves to be a problem. When this happens he begins to loose his cool and can become obsessively focused on the most minute of details.
Likes: Organization, reading, being on a team, green tea
Dislikes: Chaos, overly stressful situations, people who don't make the effort to understand a situation, overly sweet foods
History: Born to the small but close-knit Sekimori clan, Yuki has had a good life. His arrival – six whole years after his sister Yasuko – came as a surprise, but a pleasant one. His siblings were especially excited to be getting a little brother, and often got in trouble for spending time with him when they were supposed to be training. Though their time together grew less as Yuki entered school and the older siblings graduated from the Academy and became Genin, they still valued training together as a family.
Years passed, Yasuhiro and Yasuko were promoted to Chuunin and then Jounin, and at last the time came for Yuki to graduate from the Academy himself. He passed the graduation exam with high marks, and was placed on a team, led by Hisuatsu Ryuurei, along with classmates Tensei Jiro and Hayashi Ryo. The three worked well together, and despite being in the middle of a war, Yuki was able to enjoy being on a team. Just under a year after graduation, though, tragedy struck. Yuki's beloved older sister Yasuko was killed in battle by a Hidden Stone Jounin. The clan was devastated, but Yuki took her loss particularly hard. He became very depressed, and if not for the support of his elder brother Yasuhiro, would likely still be depressed today.
That was not the only misfortune to strike this team during that first year. During the final battle of the war, Ryo's house was badly damaged and collapsed – with Ryo, his mother, and his sister inside. No one was killed, but Ryo was pinned under the wreckage and badly injured. It wasn't long until doctors delivered the news: Ryo would walk again, but – barring any long-term turnarounds – was unable to continue being a shinobi.
But life must go on. Another Genin was assigned to the team to fill the spot Ryo's early retirement had left empty, though Yuki still doesn't know who it is, and while he is still grieving the loss of his sister and shaken by Ryo's injury, Yuki knows he has to keep going – not only for his own sake, but also for the village, his family, and his team.
