I've recently been getting into writing some poems...I really like it. Here are two of the latest ones I've written. Comments/feedback is welcome...and new topics too... Anyways...back to business:
Solo
I wonder where you are as I lay under the stars. A woman who is always there, no matter what SHE always cares. Eternally is the love we'd share. I'd promise to, be always true, and wholly faithful to only you. But for now, I'm alone. Underneath the great unknown, Awaiting the day, our love is shown.
My family
To those of you whose friendship is true I would gladly give my life for you The bond that links us is not through blood But I would risk life and limb come even a flood
We share through our lives, respect and joy I wait the day I lay eyes on your new baby boy To me, you are my family My brothers, my sisters, mine eyes do see
To receive this undying loyalty Just be there, is all I ask of thee Let us forever undertake this journey of discovery Take my hand. Its up to you and me
Call upon me in times of need And I shall come, with the greatest of speed To thee I make this oath, with hand on my heart And wish the day never arises that we should part
Anyways. These are the two I've written. They've been posted about too. I wrote "My family" in light of a few events...and with you guys in mind. But one more than all of the rest...he knows who he is...
Fine day in Baysingstoke it is.

Those were pretty good, actually. I'm particularly impressed by the rhyming. It's hard to rhyme poems and have them sound decent.
^_^ Nice job, Glenn-kun.

Whee. Sannk yew Kiri-chan ^_^. I just get poems coming to me...I mean...I just get an epiphany ya know? You get one set of lyrics...then that builds, and before you know it you've got a full poem. I mean...I like to have a theme with mine, thats quite obvious. You get people who write poems that are just so hard to decypher, that it takes away the simple beauty of them...wow this is getting very big. I've become a fanatic...anyone else care to put some poems/comments in here?

Hehe. So you DID read this. I asked you before if you did. Not even knowing you made comment in here. Well. Here is the latest addition to my arsenal...that doesn't sound right given the fact I write nice poems. ^_^. Anyways, I'm still wanting to work on this. This is the latest:
As I walk up the all to familiar drive I think of you
The moon is full and bright So much so it casts my shadow In the night The stars like fireflies Twinkling, with very little light
I walk up the path And past the vine of white roses Its scent, sweet and subtle through my nose Through the moons radiance They appear to glow
I think of you
The summer’s night air is crisp upon my face I look down to the bricks underfoot So intricately placed
The silence is calming, just me and my thoughts Pure tranquillity, save one barking dog I find my eyes Return to the skies
I think of you
As the moon sails upon the cloudy seas The sight would be chilling But your love gives me warmth
I close my eyes and make my way inside. I wish you were here.
Its quite different, and strays away from the rhyme and timing. But. I'll let you guys decide what you think, and if its worth remaking it.

I know I should choose a new topic. But I haven't...its just some way of expressing things well ^_^ And I don't know how good I would do with other topics...maybe in time I'll do that. Anyways. The latest addition to my poety. Oh...and for a note, yes I did wake up near midnight, and this all kinda happened ^_^ Then I got up and put this to paper...keyboard ^_^ Anyways. I'm waffling now. Enjoy
I wake up near midnight With a flutter in my heart What is this I’m feeling? What is this awakening?
I peer out through the curtain All knowing stars gaze in return Myself and my thoughts in a silent room My life still a twisted, fated doom
When will I find what I seek? Life is more than your physical possessions It’s more than yourself I desire someone’s heart to keep
To have a bond as strong as a dragons scale Deeper than her eyes of blue, so pale To be her pillar of strength And to always go that extra length
For at the moment, I waver like a flame Clinging to life all the same Although I act tough Its inside there’s the truth
Scars wider than the Milky Way I watch The only thing to heal the scotch Is your ever gentle touch And then. I will be your champion.

Thanks for the compliments. I don't really think I could publish them anyways, they only have one theme/topic ^_^ I'd have to experience something different for that to change. Its really quite strange though, people generally write about the strongest emotions. They're the easiest. Love, anger and death. I would say war as well, but thats kind of encompassed in anger and death. But yeah. So far I've only have 3 people commenting on this ^_^ Kiri, Ten-kun and D-chan. I should get some other guys to have a read.

Thanks, well I'll keep writing them when I have inspiration. Maybe the theme will change over time. I don't think anybody would want my work, but thats not really going to stop me writing them. Most people keep a diary to let out emotions and stuff to, I speak it in my poetry, so its really just a hobby more than anything.

Yeah. Writing is good. I express myself in songs (more that than diary entries lately), which I guess is just a form of poetry.
Nevertheless, I like them, man. I really do. You can tell it's all straight from the heart, which makes it that much more personal, I guess; a feeling of full-on, raw emotion. Good stoof.
I once knew a girl called Baysingstoke... XD

Should I post my poetry in HERE, or in a different thread? (Good work, by the way, Sorien.)
