If you want the Sims 1 I can throw in the ones I have for cheap with the compy you're getting from me..... if you ant 2 I can't really help you out but I don't think that comp can even run Sims 2. Lemme know so I know whether to sell the games at Game Stop or not! ;D

Photobucket happened. It takes forever to upload the pics and then copy paste them places. ( )

I have no problem with photobucket.
I'ma thinkin it'sa great program/site.
Never steered me wrong...cept when it shrinks my animated anime gifs to miniscule sizes!

I love it. It just annoys me that you have to copy/paste the tags individually. But yes. Much <3 for photobucket. I think I'd like it even better if I weren't on Dialup....it takes forever to upload....

My sympathy and condolences for your dial-up woes.
I know it's hard, I've been there.
...but now, I'm residing on the sunny beaches of High Speed Cable. Woo Hoo!

Actually, I think in that case 256kbps DSL IS actually travelling at 256kbps.
One thing I usually come across (as a computer geek, and a major one at that) is people complaining about 56k (dial up) not actually downloading at 56k. They say they get download speeds of 6K at the absolute best.
A common myth is to think that 56k is 56 Kilobytes per second. IT IS NOT. Connection speed is actually measured in kilobits per second, so you're actually connecting at 56 KILOBITS per second.
Those who've studied computers or know a little about them might know that 8 bits = 1 byte. 56 kilobits (or 56,000 bits) is the rough equivalent of 6 kilobytes (6,000 bytes), which is how file size is measured on the computer. (excluding megabytes and gigabytes, MB and GB respectively)
I'm sure the same could be said for the method of DSL you use, Rasengan. I have a friend here who is also connected at 256Kbps DSL. So your downloads of 50KB per second is actually pretty good.
Those with Cable might find themselves a little better off: I don't know about in other countries, but here the cable speed is 2Mbps (roughly 256KB/s)... which is what we have.
I actually think cable speed in the United States and Canada is slower than in Europe and Australasia (due to the differing physics of our electricity.)... from what I've heard, Cable speed (or really, T1 speed) is 1.544 Mbps (roughly 150KB/s). I wouldn't know for sure, because I don't have Cable in the States (for obvious reasons)... maybe Kiel could help meh out there?
I wouldn't quote me for sure on all of this, but I think it's 99% accurate, at least, based on the people in the States I've talked to, and my own studies as a student of the Cisco Networking Academy.
Just the view of a computer nerd. ^__^

Don't forget that connections aren't always as fast as the connection allows. My 56K usually runs in the 40s (In fact, it's at 49K right now), for example. I don't think you'd get your full potential connection unless you were close enough to....uhhh....whatever it is you connect to that connects you to the big boss internet. So I don't know everything about computers. ^^; But yeah. Because of this my downloads usually go about 3 or 4 Kb/s, so Rasengan, you really shouldn't be complaining.

That's true. Actually, I'm not sure if it makes a difference... but if I connect from a different phone point in my house (using dial-up instead of cable internet), I actually connect at different speeds (ranging from 45k to the full 57.6kb you're supposed to get). Very strange.
It's all good though. We have a wireless network here at home (as Kaori and Kiri might know from experience... lol) so it's 2Mbps no matter where I am in the house... or out. LOL
