I believe in angels and demons, but that's it. No ghosts for me! Though watching those ghost hunter shows on TV is really fun....

I believe in angels, too.
I don't believe in "ghosts" or people's spirits staying behind to haunt us, but I do, however, believe in demons (evil spirits) that like to prey off of our fears and bad memories.
I don't believe in aliens. In my opinion, if God meant for there to be other beings besides us, we would know.
As for psychic powers...I don't believe in them either.

For one thing, we wouldn't have to go searching for intelligent life elsewhere in the universe if we already knew it existed and where it was.

Being a scientist (Well, in training anyways) its really interesting to come to conversations like this, because my scientific brain argues with my emotional/instinctive brain. As such, I do believe in ghosts (Its one of those things you have to experience to beleive I reckon). Aliens, it depends on what context your using. I reckon (And theres proof) that earth was seeded (with bacteria of sorts) by meteors and that sorta thing from space, and as Moriko said. Space is a big place. In that context, yes aliens (or some other life form) could be out there. As for the humaniod type things you see. I find it a little more doubtable

My grandad believes in aliens. It's kind of funny because he teaches sunday school at church and he's one of the most learned bible scholars I've ever met... yet he believes in aliens. I think it's because of his soft spot for scifi.
I don't think there are aliens. People say it would be a "waste" of the universe for there to be no more intelligent life, but that's kind of arrogant. It's a "waste" if there's no life out there like us? I think that the universe itself is awe-inspiring enough whether there are aliens or not.
My beliefs on ghosts are pretty well the same as Mer's. I have friends who like to go out to graveyards with a tape recorder and listen for "spirits." I really hate it when they do that, 'cause who knows what kind of forces they're tempting out there....
(ignore the lack of logic in this post XD I'm too braindead tired to say anything intelligent right now)

Not really. It'd be more like a group of people only living on one small area of a landmass because the rest of it was uninhabitable. Which is perfectly sensible.

I really hate it when they do that, 'cause who knows what kind of forces they're tempting out there.... That's exactly why I don't like things like Seances , Ouija boards, or Psychic readings. I may not believe in ghosts, but occurrences having to do with those things are definitely real, and the things that cause them aren't things that humans should go around messing with. Those ghost shows on TV do have pretty cool stories, though, so it's fun hearing about them. There's even a hotel around here that's supposed to be haunted. I've done historical fashion shows there a few times, and visited there for other reasons, though, and I never saw a ghost.
