Thanks! ^_^ I've gotta update y'all on all the recent NASCAR news!
Ok, first, I'll start off with the big one, the Coca-Cola 600 at LMS. Jimmie Johnson took the checkered flag for the third time! Congrats to Jimmie and the #48 crew! Great job, guys!
Bobby Labonte finished 2nd! Nyuu! I wanted him to win so BADLY! Kasey, of course, blew a right front tire and hit the wall... Like he's done the last 3 races held at LMS... Poor Kasey. Bill Elliott was doing rather well for awhile, running up in the top 10 for several laps, but fell back several spots to finish 20th after a multi-car wreck near the end of the race. Kasey's teammate, Jeremy Mayfeild, had an AWESOME run, finishing the race in the 4th position. Carl Edwards finished 3rd, and pole-sitter Ryan Newman finished 5th. Rusty Wallace had a good finish in the top 10, while Mark Martin was caught up in an accident with 10 laps to go and was unable to finish.
Next comes MBNA Racepoints 400 at the Monster Mile, Dover International Speedway. Greg Biffle took the checkered flag this time, making a series-best 4 victories at Dover. The big to-do goin' on now came about when Tony Stewart lightly tapped the back of Jeff Gordon. Gordon spun and hit the wall. He was really angry with Stewart and made a few not-very-cool comments. Stewart, however, didn't seem to care much. He said he didn't really care if Jeff wrecked him as payback. It's all very childish. You can read the article at NASCAR.com if you like.
Rookie Kyle Busch, younger brother of 2004 Cup Champion Kurt Busch had an awesome finish of 2nd, Mark Martin 3rd, Jimmie Johnson 4th, and Rusty Wallace 5th.
Bobby Labonte lost an engine early on in the race and was unable to finish.
Kasey was just having a horrible day altogether! He got lapped several times, wasn't running very well, then cut a tire, I believe, and just... lost it! Poor Kasey! *wants to huggle him*
But anywho! The Pocono 500 is coming up next weekend at Pocono raceway! Kasey holds the qualifying record here! Yay! Go Kasey!
Best of luck to Kasey and the Dew Crew in the Pocono 500! *blows kiss* Love ya, Kasey!
