Alrighty then,
after visiting the music thread over on the 'other stuff' page, I got to thinking...
...then I got to pickin' and a' grinnin'.
but that's beside the point.
What I'm proposing is that we come up with our own Konoha Village Soundtrack! That's right, a collaborative group of songs reflecting its wonderful and quirky members and the anime that they love! ;D
Instructions/Rules:
To make this fair, everyone will be allowed to pick two (2) songs they want on the soundtrack. Only one (1) of which can be a Naruto song. The other has to be a non-Naruto song of your choice (J-songs are fine, just no more than 1 Naruto).
You can only put in two songs, because the average cd can only hold about 18 tracks...give or take. If there's more requested songs than that, I suppose another cd could be added.
The songs you choose should reflect your personality, your style, favorite threads, or...well, maybe your taste in music.
Here's my two picks. When you post your choices, they should follow the same format more or less:
-Queen, 'Fat Bottomed Girls'
-The Pillows, 'Crazy Sunshine'

AHHHH YOU PICKED IT YOU PICKED IT. YAYYYYYY. *huggles Kaori for choosing Michi no Sora* lol Well, I suppose I don't have to pick PLC - Michi no Sora then. Awesome. XD Y'know. I can't actually choose which songs I would have on a CD, especially to describe me, my personality, or my thoughts, or whatever. I mean, it's just... too hard. I love so many songs, and can't possibly ONLY choose two. As well as the fact that the majority of the songs are LONG... say I were to choose my two favourite Tool songs... the climax of the Tool - Lateralus CD as my two songs (Reflection/Triad), that's twenty minutes of the CD gone. Just like that. I mean it. So essentially I'd take up a third of the CD... in comparison to Kaori-sama's 8:51. Cool, but not very fair. So I'll just list the names of the songs I would have, and you can take your pick from them. Naruto OST - Sadness and Sorrow (my Naruto song) Blindspott - Ilah (Silent War) (I would most probably choose this one) Tool - The Patient (about me at the moment) Tool - Disposition~Reflection~Triad (my musical taste) Brooke Fraser - Waste Another Day (lovely little song... XD) Brooke Fraser - Arithmetic (aww) Brooke Fraser - Scarlet (...sad...) Metallica - One (one of my fave bands, and the complexity of the parts would compliment the musician side of me very much, as a guitarist and a drummer. lol) Of that list, only Sadness and Sorrow and Arithmetic are under five minutes. Waste Another Day is 5:25, Scarlet is 5:57, One is 7:26... and the remainder are over eight minutes long. Lol. So depending on how you'd like to theme the CD would depend on the song choices. For example, if you'd like to have a sad piano theme going for it with my songs, one would most likely take 'Sadness and Sorrow', and Scarlet. If we were going by musical taste, chances are I'd go for Ilah and Triad. If we were going for lovely nice sounding, we'd probably go with Brookie again. If you wanted a prog rock edge to the CD, give it some Tool. See? All about what you'd rather see on the album. Then again, if I were to really choose, I'd probably pick Ilah (Silent War) and a toss-up between Triad or One. Flip a coin. See what you get. lol So we'll go with those for now. I probably would be prepared to have only one song on the CD, given that Ilah is over ten minutes long (LOL)... Triad would be eight, or One would be seven... so there's seventeen minutes of my music. Yech. You guys can handle that? XD (BTW: as a note, CDs aren't measured in tracks: they're measured in minutes. A CD can hold roughly 74 minutes of music... I think it's 73:46. Some CDs, the 80 minute CDs, can hold 79:54. Keep that in mind.  |

"of light and shade"--extol
"every new day"--five iron frenzy
both of those songs are genrely opposite (extol=death metal/FiF=ska) but they are very good songs! yay!

Do It Now ADV Films (I always liked this song...Even if it is only a minute long!)

Alright! We've got some good songs bein' chosen here! Nayo, I'm glad that you chose the songs you did, they both reflect your personality very well (at least, I thik so ^^;  Mazrakiel, I'd rather you pick two out of your selected list, only because I haven't heard a bunch of those songs (and nobody knows you better than you ) I'd chose 'sadness and sorrow' as one, just because there aren't any other Naruto songs up yet. so, so far we have about... 12 songs. I'd say we have enough disc space for about...4 or 5 more members for the 1st disc. Oh, if I may be allowed to add a small thing, just becasue I finally got to hear it today: 'Because It's Midnight' by LIMOZEEN!!!!!  ;D "the heart of a lion, and the wings of a bat, BECAUSE IT'S MIDNIGHT!" lol, rock on! |

hehe...i cant wait for the cd ^^ (picking those two songs were very hard...i was tempted to pick a bunch of others including jakalope...but i couldnt figure how they fit me...i actually dont really know how the two songs i picked fit me...but...o well^^"")

Dare somebody to pick Oscar Peterson, and we can have him directly after Metallica, straight before Five Iron Frenzy... and after FIF we can have Pachebel. That'll be VERY interesting... from metal to jazz to ska to classical. LOL

Okay Kiel.
I've decided to go with Blindspott - Ilah (Silent War), and Metallica - One.
If we have to cut a song though from the CD, I'd be glad to give up One, however.
Would probably also be willing to give up One to ensure that Ilah (Silent War) is the final song on the CD... since it's more of a closing track than anything.
But then again... this is a CD, and not a ruthless game of Monopoly. ^_^
P.S. WELL DONE NAYO-CHAN! HURRAH FOR CANON! I love that song! COOKIES ON ME!
