CONGRATULATIONS MAZZYKINS! Though why don't we tell everyone what it WAS and how hard it was, hm? As opposed to a normal university exam or something....

Lol... alright... where do I begin... XD
Over the last few weeks I've been studying hard to get my CCNA, Cisco Certified Network Associate. The pass mark is 84.9%... but I'd constantly get around 81%. (I sat it twice in April, getting 81 and 80%... once last week and got 81%)
It's quite amazing how many marks a little prayer, a little fasting, wearing my favourite clothes, and using Dad's lucky American Express card will get you. XD

Lol. This page is kinda cool, actually. It's like, open it up. "I PASSED MY EXAM. 91.2% BABY." XD I also think that possibly studying with my father, as well as the extra resources I acquired off my old teachers -- books, CDs and more past exams -- helped out immensely. ... Nah. The book helped, actually. A good cram book. Not that I didn't know the stuff... I just, think I lacked a really good set of notes. (I had a set of notes, and they were decent. But, this book was great.)

Lol.
Welp, it means I can start being a more official computer geek now.
I never really explained what CCNA was, did I? For the uninformed... it means I know quite a bit about networks and how they function. (note: not a real huge amount nor am I the Networking Guru. There are higher certifications than CCNA... CCNP, Cisco Certified Networking Professional... and CCIE, Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert). Simple home networks are relatively easy to set up, right? In fact, most devices nowadays you can pretty much buy and set up a small home network with relatively little knowledge or preconfiguration.
The Cisco certifications mainly come in handy when you're working with larger, corporate networks. There's a whole lot that goes with it. IP addresses, subnets, routers and routing protocols, access control lists... a lot of behind the scenes stuff, really. Basically it was learning all about the Internet, and how to connect computers and networks to it, in relation to the rest of the world. Another major part of it is about getting computers to communicate with each other using routers and switches, mainly for splitting up networks or for networks that span multiple floors and stuff.
Usually for basic networks, it's okay. Our network at home is quite the extensive one, however. We've got many computers all hooked up to each other, each with wireless capability, all hooked up to the Internet through broadband (not to mention the PlayStation 2 as well). Network printing, scanning... even VoIP (Voice-Over IP, where you can use the Internet for telephone services)... not sure if VoIP still works though. It's been a while since we've used it. But yeah.
It all sounds computer geeky, but I actually quite enjoy it. There's nothing like making something that works, right?
