Era of Spring: Approximately one year after the fall of Doto Kazahana, the country of snow entered into an era of deep prosperity. Yukie led the country of Snow out of its period of inner turmoil and into a new age where there was little need for ninjas. During this time, the country of Snow experienced in influx of economic growth. Much of the money that was once squandered on Shinobi training and arts could was used to create a brand new economy. They became a lead producer of high quality furs, and soon discovered an item that would set them apart from all other countries.
Iceberries, a strange variant of a common berry found in the snow country was discovered roughly 3 months after the endless winter was stopped. The berries that used to thrive in the frigid temperatures of the Snow Country mostly died out when the temperatures rose, but varying strings of berries struggled on. The rapid change completely altered the once edible berries. They became very poisonous if ingested. Scientists soon discovered that the berries, when mixed properly had an astounding pain-killing ability. They became incredibly popular with various countries, and soon became the main driving force of Snow’s Economy.
The country of Snow enjoyed a prosperous period of economic and cultural growth. The country was in the process of re-establishing itself in its new found spring. They were isolated from the problems of the rest of the world, and as long as they continued to produce what the rest of the world wanted, they were happy being isolated. As such, they saw no need for Shinobi, much less any true militaristic force.
The country enjoyed this way of life for nearly 8 years with little true problems. Yet slowly the weather began to get colder and colder. The people of the new Snow shrugged this weather as a mere cold snap. But the weather didn’t grow back to its usual warmth. It slowly continued to drop. The people of Snow began to panic at the thought of winter coming around again. They had not experienced winter in years, but they knew that they could endure a few months of it if they had to. And so they did. They endured 3 months of winter. But the snow didn’t stop after 3 months. It didn’t stop after 8 months. The weather stayed this way for 13 months when the country began to truly panic. They had enjoyed their new found prosperity, and feared that the snow would usher back the old era of warring.
Fearing this, the people of Snow turned to Yukie for guidance. The country was in an uproar with dozens of different opinions on what should be done. Factions began cropping up around the country, each with their own solutions. Each faction bombarded Yukie with their own ideas, each garnering for their own positions at Yukies’ side. Yukie struggled to keep each of the vastly differing factions happy, and hold back the impending tide of chaos that was knocking at the door. The door was opened when Yukie-hime was assassinated in her bed chamber. The party at fault was never discovered, but with Yukie’s death, the only force keeping Snow from plummeting inward on itself was gone.

Tagashi Clan Location: Hidden Village of Snow Clan Head: Tagashi Kota Clan Information: The Tagashi Clan is the largest clan in the Hidden Village of Snow. The clan has existed in one form or another for nearly 200 years. Before the formation of Snow as a shinobi village, and even prior to its formation as a country, the clan existed. They have always been knowledge and lore seekers. Rather then focusing on present shinobi arts, and the betterment of their own battle strength, they prefer to focus on the history of the world. They are both the event chroniclers and the paperwork keepers of the village. On the surface, their primary job is to keep track of, and store finalized and long-term paperwork. THey are also in charge of the public library in Snow. Within the clan grounds, there are both the public archives where various relatively unimportant documents and private books are kept, as well as the secret archives. Kept within there are texts from far back into the history of both Snow, and the rest of the world. Clan History: The Tagshi clan has been in existence for nearly 200 years. Prior to the formation of the country of Snow, the clan was a nomadic group, wandering the icy wastes in search of knowledge. The Tagashi clan played a crucial role in the formation of Snow. They founded the first library in Snow, and with Yukie-hime's support, it eventually grew into the great library. They were strong supporters of Yukie, and her claim to the throne, as they wanted to see a united Snow. They were both advisors and strong supporters to the queen while she ruled. When the clan heard whispers of plans to assassinate Yukie, they did all they could to protect her safety. After Yukie's death, the Tahashi clan did all it could to keep the country from slipping back to its warring ways. When the clans libraby was burnt down, its members were scattered. Very little text has been recovered from that time, as well as the following several decades. This time has become the clans primary target for the search. When Bashiwara Kamaichi began gathering support to re-unite Snow, the clan saw the same potential in him that they did in Yukie, and were quick to move out from the shadows to become some of his first supporters. They were central to the reformation of Snow as a unified country, and even after Kamaichi's death, they were quick to assist Asayuki to the throne, and continue to support her.
