I noticed that there's no thread devoted to the works of this wonderous author here yet...so I figured it would be best to start one. Okay, The DaVinci Code... ...awesome or what? Here's a link to the teaser trailer of the upcoming film adaptation! www.apple.com/trailers/sony_pictures/da_vinci_code/large.htmlWooo, Jean Reno as French Police officer badass Fache! Hooray! Ron Howard directing, hooray! Also, if you haven't already, read Angels and Demons, Robert Langdon's first adventure through the Vatican!

Mmhmm, it was a pretty good read. Angels and Demons was... ok. I didn't like it as much as Da Vinci Code... but that ending... () Left me almost speechless for a whole day. I finished it in the morning on the way to school, and I couldn't think or talk about school the rest of the day. Of his other novels, Deception Point is pretty interesting, but Digital Fortress is incredible. He did his research on encryption, and the prospect of a government computer that can access any e-mail in the world is deeply disturbing.

Deception Point just got even more interesting, after the news (albeit old now) of the NSA taps of private citizens without warrants... Maybe the book is closer to the truth than we know? A deeply disturbing thought...

I still need to read these books. I especially need to read them before I see the film. I'll probably see if Yami will let me borrow the Da Vinci Code when she's done with it. x___X;; Blah. I am so out of the loop. ------------- Trying to revive this thread. XD I read the Da Vinci Code and saw the movie ... I thought they both were great. Great stories. It'd been a very long time since I'd read a mystery as captivating as that. Some of the stuff in the movie was kind of disappointing... like stuff they changed... but I liked it over all. And even if Sir Ian McKellen doesn't really look much like Teabing, I think he did a grand job anyway. I don't know about the girl who played Sophie. Good actress ... but could they not like, put forth the effort to dye her hair red? Yay for Fache! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP REVIVE THIS THREAD. XD
