Whether y'all think so or not, DBZ is cool. ! I got Budokai 3 as a sort of, late Christmas present... and when I got my PS2 back, I went hard on the bugger. And I have to say, having played Budokai 1 and 2... 3 is a MAJOR improvement over the past two games. It really captures the experience of Dragonball Z battles, and everything a DBZ fan could want is in this game. The ability to go Super Saiyan... free flight (or close enough to it)... a decent single-player RPG mode... 30 odd playable characters... all your favourite attacks from the series, plus power struggles... the ability to fuse... and hundreds of extras to unlock. All this along with some fast and furious gaming make Budokai 3 not only an excellent DBZ game, but an excellent fighting game. Most memorable battle thus far: Going up against the computer, getting my butt whooped. Was literally one hit away from death and defeat, when I managed to pull off Goku's Fusion... to become SSJ4 Gogeta. Unleashed 100x Big Bang Kamehameha on his sorry little butt. Victory to Mazrakiel. XD

yea even though DBZ lost its luster for me some time ago, i think DBZ:B3 is one of the best fighting games ive ever played, nothing better than ssj4 gogeta, lol, btu yea i like fighting games, so eya i definitly would recommend it as a fighting game, even if you dont liek the series.

Ive played budokai 2, the board game thing was sort of weird, but over all it is awesome. The only thing i didnt like is that YOU CANNOT JUMP IN THIS GAME Did they fix that in in Budokai 3?

Sort of, not really. You can't jump.... but there are so many other ways you can evade your opponent's attacks there's not really a need for jumping. Like, teleporting behind them and whacking them in the back (like in the series). Or just plain old dodging their attacks.
Admittedly, at first, even I didn't like the fact that you couldn't jump... but in Budokai 3, they've just thrown so much more into the game that makes it really playable.
Plus there's free flight (to an extent... lol)... when you back up from your opponent, you can fly back up into the air.... but that's not really much use.
Only thing I didn't like were the "dragon rushes". (moves where you have to press a different button to your opponent to inflict damage... much like Zanku Fist in Budokai 2).... I always seem to lose those against the computer. Drat. XD

DRAGON RUSH IS TH EWORST THING EVER INVENTED!!!!!!!!!! its imposible to be cheap and get money in tournaments byt ringing out yoru opponent, when they keep dragon rushing you, and making you lose all your health, and then reversing you out of the ring X.x

Are dragon rushes when you turn red and getting hit doesnt effect you?

Yeah. Close enough. Actually, Hyper Mode is where you turn red and attacks don't affect you... but in order to do a Dragon Rush you have to go Hyper Mode anyway, so they might as well be the same.
Oh, and Zeth, I've perfected the art of the 3-second win in the tournament. You just need Omega Shenron (has a baseline ki of MAX). Pick him, and when you start the battle, fly backwards to the edge of the ring. Wait until the opponent flies at you and attacks, then teleport behind him and knock him out of the ring. If they decide to counter-teleport, Omega Shenron has enough ki to counter-counter-teleport! lol
About the only person you have to worry about is Kid Buu, who has baseline of 6 ki gauges... which is enough to counter-counter-counter-teleport. Although you might get lucky and by then have enough ki to counter-counter-counter-counter-teleport... LOL
But yes. I am a cheap scumbag in the tournaments... XD

Dear gawd thats a lot of countering...but yeah, for you cheap...people. That is a good way to earn Zenie. Yeah, DBZ:B3 is a good game, an improvement on Budokai 2, which was a far greater improvement that Budokai. You know the thing I like about 3 the best: Power struggles. I love it. Especially when you're both on next to no health and you know, if either one ki-blasts ya'll ...bottom You'll get KO'ed so you both pull a Kamehameha at each other, and twist the sticks as fast as you can. Hours of entertainment, 'specially with an opponent like Mazz...

Thanks man. I find you're a nice opponent to go up against too. You actually have enough SKILL to score SOME victories against me... even if they are far and few. XDXP
Although Spice-Boy's great to go against. Especially if I pick my custom Goku (and I don't mean Breakthrough XD). It's always good to knock his pride back a bit. Oh how I love taunting with Kid Buu... XD

I just enjoy watching you crush his pride, and with every one of your victories, he invents another excuse...well...if he fools himself thats good enough ^_^. Yes! I love watching him. Both hands in the air "Dummy" In that high pitched voice...I find that better than Kid Buus taunt. *cracks up*. N.B Spice-boy= The king of spoilers (read Halo thread)

Tenkaichi Budokai's coming out soon. I can't wait to see what it's like. It'll be really different... a fighting game from an over-the-shoulder third-person view. Scary.
It'll have some more additions though. More characters, more stages, and a great big story mode to go with it. Plus, destructible... CLOTHING! THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS! You ever wanted to get Goku's top off? Well now you can! Just fire a great big Final Flash in his direction and his clothes will begin to rip. There are more destructibles in the game, with hidden powerups inside buildings and such.
Looks interesting, to say the least.

Hmm...that sounds different. 3rd person fighting game. I dear say that it would be from inside the fighters head, but playing a mate would be odd. Anyways. This really isn't Tenkaichi Budokai, so BoT methinks, or post it in another gaming topic. As for DBZ: B3, I'm kinda still stuck without a PS2, so theres not much more I can add to this.
