Raf... we will have to start our war on Bungie quickly, so we can hopefully cut off one of Gates' legs before he has a chance to take over the gaming world!
But yah... I'm prety excited bout Halo 3, and I REALLY hope it delivers all the stuff I was dissapointed by in 2.
- More Vehicles - More Guns - BETTER STORYLINE!! - NEW MULTIPLAYER MAPS (a.k.a. - not just redone old maps) - More Urban combat
All that stuff! As of right now, it's really nothing I'm spazzing out over, just something I plan on eventually getting.

I agree. All we really need is a resolution to the storyline, and then we can sit the Halo series in the corner to collect dust. I think it's kinda cool how they re-did some of the old maps though. More guns would be great too. Halo 2 was okay... but it hardly added any new exciting guns. I mean, ooh wow, a Covenant Sniper Rifle and a sword? Gimme a break.
Oh, and they should REMOVE the rocket launcher from play entirely. Or lessen its damage. Perhaps they could take a lesson or two from UT2K4, in which the rocket launcher did MAJOR damage against vehicles, but almost no damage against people -- you'd actually be better off using a machine gun than a rocket launcher against people. 'Coz in Halo 2 (and 1) the rocket launcher was just FAR too cheap.

Yeah...I have to agree with you Jyou...you've given a pretty good list there. Although for the JyouNoHaku...I'd semi-have to disagree. I think the constant use of a one-hit kill weapon kinda...well deteriorates the game-play...it makes things annoying and dull. I think earth would be interesting as well...maybe.

Yeah. Nothing like a toe-to-toe battle with the plasma rifle or submachine guns or something, eh Sorien? Or to some extent, the Plasma Sword... until you get sword collectors... lol
But the fun part is having a decent battle with your competition. Not... shooting it to bits with a rocket launcher... or... waiting behind him with a pistol to the back of his head, and then when your opponent comes back from the kitchen and picks up the controller you put a bullet through his head. That's just... retarded. If you can find decent people to play with... it's good.
Kudos to Sorien for having the skill and the courage to fight me man-to-man. XD

XD. Thanks mate. But yeah...I agree with this too...actually having decent skill to fight someone with the same or an inferior weapon and come out on top is what makes the game worthwhile, like Mazz said, not just a one hit kill. I mean...the swords can be cool...like I've gotten into a game now...where you turn off the motion tracker and have random starting weapon. That way, if your opponent has good weapons when they kill you, you aren't going to have to start with some cruddy weapon, and have the floor mopped with you again. It adds an interesting element. Anyway, back to the story, I've got into the fun habit of only using the energy sword on some levels....only for a few kills...cos otherwise its lame. But what I do...is stalk the enemy from above. Then LEAP down onto them, and while I'm in the air, line them up and pull the trigger...so much fun. From their eyes, out of nowhere someone just jabs them dead real quick...its SO cool.
On another note, thats one decent improvement to Halo 2...crouching to avoid being seen by motion tracker...honestly...I think people rely on that too much and I think (outside single player) it shouldn't be used.

Yeah. The motion tracker was okay... but it sorta gave away where your opponent was. Exactly. Perhaps, say, a radar flash when an enemy is nearby would be cool (mainly to stop campers)... but little more than that, you know? It's much more fun to walk around a corner only to find your opponent's just done the same, as opposed to... "Oh, there he is. He's walking around the corner. Meh. I'll just stop, he won't see me... and shoot him." In fact, it almost ENCOURAGES camping. Biiiig no-no. XD
