Double posting to bring interest back to our Spartan friend. Has anyone else played God of War? I would consider it to be in the top five games on the PlayStation 2. Seriously. Maybe even top three. I think there's only one word that describes this game: epic. The first God of War was sheer brilliance. It combined awesome gameplay, anger, a very fluid control system.... the game is absolutely flawless. The first one even unlocked a large amount of content (both videos and new gameplay) when finished, and has a fair amount of replay value. It's not too long... but it is seriously the second most epic game I've ever played (behind Final Fantasy X). The storyline is simple... but effective. It doesn't dawdle for a moment. The puzzles are brilliant. Some can be difficult... but not TOO difficult so as to leave you feeling retarded. In fact, it contributes to the game feeling epic -- you feel challenged, but not overly so, just enough to make you feel like you've accomplished something when you've finally gotten there. The highlight of the game, however, are the boss battles. Nothing in the whole world makes you feel more powerful than this game. I mean that. XD The game is brutal, however. Those who shun violence won't like this game. It's not really fully over the top violent... but it may bring out the, uh, beast in you. The second game is even moreso brutal, and still just as fun. I'd give it the same rating as the first one. Just buy it. It's worth the cash. An amazing game; start to finish and back again.

I haven't played the first one... but I played a LITTLE of the second one. Mostly I watched my brother and uncle play it. I really like the game... and I enjoyed the violence... >___>;;;;;;
So yeah.. one of these days I'll get my own copy. ~__~ But it's a hard game and I'm so dumb when it comes to those kinda battle situations I probably won't be able to beat it....

Yeah I haven't beat it yet but I am more than halfway through. Awesome. 2 is even more epic with the giant horses and the whole layout of the tower of fate. choice.

Oh yeah! I saw the part with the giant horses. Very hardcore!
I still haven't gotten to play this. Hopefully one day, though. ^^

Fully agree with you Kisame. The second one just reeks of epic.... epic ANGER. XD
My girlfriend played through both GoW and GoW II. She's a violent little creature. lol.
