that and animal crossing.
The Sims is stupidly addtictive,Why would you want to spend hours and hours trying to keep you charatcers bladder and work schedules in check when you have to do that in real life. The sims is a perfect life simulator,but some of the old one thst don't have any fun in it first one for X-Box,and the couple of the old ones for PC,is just for bored people with no lives,thats why i got hooked on during the no con season.....><..oi.

I agree that it is sorta pointless if you think about it..but it's still really addictive for some reason. I got sick of the Sims by the time the Vacation expansion came out. It just stopped being fun.
I just got the Sims 2 though..and it's so much better. There are alot of new aspects added to the game: You can pick an aspiration for your Sim to give it a "purpose" and the Sim will have various wants and fears according to its aspiration. Like if you picked knowledge the Sim will want to study and get alot of skill points, want to do really well in their job/school, and want to see a ghost or aliens. I had a really shy Sim and one of her fears was using a public restroom..I thought that was really funny. But yeah, the wants and fears are always changing and if you fufill and a need your Sim is happier with their life and you get points to go towards buying special objects. If your Sim has to go through one of their fears it really messes with their head and they go psychotic. I had a Sim that was afraid of fire and when her kitchen caught on fire she went insane and sat on the floor talking to herself..then the psychiatrist came and visited her. lol The sims can age now..Toddlers are super cute and the parents have to teach them how to walk/talk and stuff. There are "genetics". If two sims have a child the kid will actually look like them. No more random kids that look nothing like the parents..yay. Everything is more customizable...and looks better. There are endless options when you are designing what your Sim looks like..you could seriously spend hours just creating a family. (evil maxis) It's too fun. The houses look way better.. For every object almost you can customize the colors, patterns, and wood you use.. You can specify how the Sims are related..(roomie/sibling..) The in-game camera is awesome. You can zoom in and out and look at things at almost any angle. There is a movie making feature along with the photo album. The Sims have facial expressions.. and they actually look at/say hi to each other when they come in the room. It's the little things that count...lol That reminds me of the food. They actually make different things to eat. Spaghetti...sandwiches..and tons of other stuff. It's just really cool to see them make pancakes for breakfast..instead of the stuff from the Sims1 that looked like a dinner that they ate for every meal. This is the longest thing I've wrote on this board.. ::is scared:: I sound like I'm obsessed with this game but I'm not...really...There's just alot of cool stuff they added to it. ::nods::

I think the utensils are just invisible. What's funny is watching Kimimaro eat, those sleeves don't listen to gravity. Lol. And I used to make sims with full neatness....they washed their hands after doing ANYTHING. It was so annoying. What's worse is how stupid sims are when you give them free will.....one sim I had was about to die of hunger and went to take a bubble bath. Idiot. But the Sims 2 sounds alot cooler. I like how you can see reflections in the mirror and stuff.

yeah,about the reflections,.......they were... color=Orange]VAMPIRES!![/color][glow=red,2,300]VAMPIRES I tell you![/glow]
yeah,and free will was stupid. This one girl i had kept sleeping and sleeping,missed work,and peed her self in the proccess-_-.
It wasn't a nice sight.

My Sims in the Sims2 are still vampires...cause I have to turn the graphics settings down. Freewill mode has never bothered me. If you have it turned off, then the Sims just stand around waiting for orders. That's no fun. You can still control them on freewill mode.

...its because it was the one for X-box,on free-will,they won't obey all the time...-_-;;
you have to give mass commands before they do anything somtimes....
with or without freewill they always walk around on the TV screen...srry it was the only one i really sat down and played...

Not that I've ever played the Xbox one, but from what you say the PC version is way better.

I don't understand how such a game can be so addicting, but it is.

because you want to know what happens the next day. And who your character likes. So you just end up being highly addicted of coarse.
