It angers me so much!! Death and Rebirth was originally D&R and EoE! I dunno why, but they felt the need to split it up... So now Death is Death and Rebirth and Rebirth is End of EVA. Anyways, Maz, I'd suggest not watching too much of it in a row... I HIGHLY reccomend against it... especially on yer first run through. Honestly, i wouldn't even bother watching the last two eps either XPPP.
A six hour EVA movie? I could hold my bladder through the entire thing no prob.. but it wouldn't matter... cuz by hour 5, I would just be a puddle of Jyou-goo on the floor. @_@

I once made the mistake of watching a large chunk of it in one sitting. part of my brain had actually escaped through my ears. and yeah, those last two contain nothing more but to trick you into making a funny face and having it freeze that way.
six hours eh?i could hold m ybladder for that length, the real question is if i'd be able to restrain from standing up and yelling "DOES ANYONE REALLY HAVE A CLUE WHAT'S GOING ON!!!"

Rofl! Yes! It's so true! I have seen that series multiple times... and while each time I feel like I grasp the story a bit more... I still dun think I will ever fully understnad what on EARTH is really going on in it.

I watched it all at once.
It was wonderful.
A little taxing, sure, but wonderful all the same.
I wholeheartedly suggest watching it all, stopping only to get food, drink, or to go to the bathroom.

I'm slowly but surely buying the Platinum Edition DVDs because I'm such an Eva fanatic. I've got 4 of the 7 so far. I'll probably have at least one more before the month is out. ^^

Well, I'm a big Eva fan boy
The biggest thing is that you get a better visual and audio experience, as well as some added japanese titles.
There's also audio commentary (which I love) and the occasional special feature.
For serious fans only I imagine.
If you don't own the series yet, pick up the Platinum DVDs

Yeah, I wanna buy it, but I have just one DVD and one Director's Cut DVD, so I'll have to look out for the platinum boxed set eventually....

My series has finally arrived! It actually arrived a while ago. It's the Perfect Collection, as opposed to the Platinum Collection. If I'd known the Platinum Collection had Dolby Digital Japanese tracks, I would've gotten that so long ago, instead. But the series has been here much longer than our surround sound unit. Bummer. Ah well. XD
It's definitely an enjoyable series. Watching it all over again made me realise how much of it I'd forgotten (mind you, I only watched half of it before lending it to a friend who'd always wanted to see it). I've also got my hands on Death & Rebirth and End of Eva.... I haven't seen EoE in a long time... but Death & Rebirth is a great watch, especially when you've watched only half the series and want to quickly catch up on the rest of it before watching End of Evangelion. XD
I've also watched it in English (mainly for the Dolby Digital component). Very very kickass. Almost makes me want to sell it and order the Platinum Collection. XD
