It's the Fourth! ZOMG! Squee'n'stuff XDXD.
I'm really quite pleased about seeing this one chapter. But the question remains...if he's in Naruto's mind...then does that mean he's still alive? I highly doubt it...so what is it then? Just a collection of memories or something left within the seal? These kinda revelations make you almost forget about Hinata (which is sad, I know)
Doesn't muscly Kyuubi kinda look creepy-cool though? (On page 14-15)
Reading through a second time suggests that the Fourth placed a part to the seal that either a) brings him back to life b) brings him within Naruto's conciousness once the 8th tail appears, and that if that if Naruto had never gone past the 8th tail he'd have never come back. So because Kyuubi pushed Naruto so far, the Fourth has appeared...but what I really wanna know is...just how much of appearance is this?

interesting questions, Sori. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until the next chapter...and maybe longer, to really get any answers, though.
I'll agree though, 8-tail muscly Kyuubi's nightmare worthy. *thumbs up*
How will Naruto react to being 'face-to-face' with his father, I'm wondering.

I actually think 8th tail Kyuubi looks cooler than the 9th tail form... More... demonic?
I'll lay strong odds that what Naruto is talking to is just a fragment of his father's personality and memories left behind as part of the seal... Kind of like how A.I.s are imprinted off of a real person in most sci-fi.
Also, this chapter is epic enough that I have to quote the King Kiwi. (Maz, for those of you who weren't aware of his royalty)
... OMGWTFPWNBBQ
That is all.

I'm royalty? XD Thank you Tenny.
I'd have to fairly agree that this was a good chapter. The strange thing is though, I thought the appearance of Yondaime felt a bit... rushed. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it happened and am really looking forward to seeing how Naruto reacts to meeting his father (even within his consciousness), that's really cool. But at the same time, it also sorta feels like it came out of nowhere. All too often Kishimoto (and most writers, I guess) doesn't really build up enough; he normally just throws something at you suddenly, without creating excitement and anticipation for it.
I mean, sure, we were all anticipating something like this at some stage... but it just seems like Kishi found an old discarded piece of paper that says "NARUTO MEETS YONDAIME" and thought "Right, let's just make it happen this week". You know what I mean?
Perhaps that's just... how people write these days though.
Regardless... once things finally get into Naruto's head, the chapter's really good. Kyuubi's tempting suggestion of "destroy" is that kind of evil the manga needs - the "kill everything", without the retardation of Pain. XD

Yeah, I think you're right about the evil of Kyuubi. I felt old sentiments of Maz there a bit. Maybe eer...Frozen Core (Is that right?) Maz too. Destroy everything that hurts you. It was particularly cool.
Although I only partially agree with the comment about the rushed appearance of the fourth. I actually found it shocking and I quote word for word what happened on the night I read it. Firstly, I went searching for people to talk about it with. Anybody. Finally Danielle came home and I said this "I don't care if you're tired, hungry or anything. You must read this". Danielle: "I've kinda gotta go to the bathroom". G: "No you don't. This takes priority".
After reading it, Smeagi agreed with me that it took precedence over going to the bathroom. I just found the swirling cape and everything, and the writing on the back of it was great. I liked the entrance.

Oh yeah, the entrance was great. XD I just also felt a little... "Where on earth did that come from?" Deus ex machina, that sorta thing. I think it'll have a greater effect in the anime. Could go very nicely with a desperation suite, the right music. That'll be awesome. On a side note, the main death that's affected me is actually Kakashi. Not because it made me sad or emotional, but at just how sudden, pointless and retarded it was. XD And we need to hang out some time dude.
