The two of them were seated in Ichiraku Ramen. Dayna and Mazrakiel were waiting for their team-mate, with some news. Big news. Dayna placed her hand on the table. "It looks great, you know," Dayna smiled, referring to the jewellery he'd bought for her the day before. "Mine too," grinned Maz. He leaned in and kissed her gently on the cheek, before sitting back upright; he didn't wanna get too close, not in a public place.
They weren't entirely sure how fast or slow to take it, actually. Some people get together based solely on passion and physical desire. Some people get together because they don't want to be alone anymore, some people get together because they've never experienced these feelings before. Some people get together without physically wanting the other person, but finding something else that attracts them instead. Some people get together, taking a chance -- they may have nothing in common at first, but may learn to love each other. Some people get together because the other person brings them a great sense of peace, of comfort. And some people are so close to each other, they get together because maybe that's how they should've been all along. Why Maz and Dayna really got together, they didn't initially know, but one thing's for certain: they found a great comfort in each other. Sure, Maz found her attractive, but that wasn't the reason he'd asked her out. They were good friends above all else; she didn't want to rush things out of fear of losing that, and he didn't want to rush things out of respect for her. And as long as they remembered that, and didn't let anything else get in the way... nothing could go wrong.
Maz turned to find Sorien had just walked in. "Hey!!", Maz called out to him. He rested his hand on Dayna's, so his friend could see. "It went well, man."
They were together now.

It was quite the morning Sorien awoke to, he got out and had his mornings training under a sheet of mist. It was a very crisp morning. As the day progressed the sun punched a hole into the mist, and cleared it away. Once gone, there was a fantastic blue sky above. Keeping an eye on the time, Sorien packed his stuff away and made his way to the Ramen stall, as planned by Mazrakiel.
He arrived at the Ramen stand, his two comrades greeted him. "It went well, man." Sorien intially paused, fretful as always, thinking of the consquences of this, he tried to hide his thoughts from the intrusive mind of Maz. However the second he saw the look in Mazrakiels eyes, he knew that this was a good thing for him.
He smiled and nodded at them both, and outloud, as daft as always "Congratulations" he said, somewhat trying to find the correct phrase to use in this occassion. He sat down and his stomach rumbled. He ordered his meal, and turned back to face Mazrakiel and Dayna.

Mazrakiel looked to Dayna, and then looked onto Sorien. "Yeah. We thought you'd better know. You are a team-mate, and well, the team's important too, after all."
Suddenly, an unknown voice called out from the kitchen. "It's been a long time since I've had a team that believes that." An unfamiliar figure made its way from the staff area at the back -- much to the surprise of the owners of Ichiraku. "Hey, you're not supposed to be back there!" Udon called to the man. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't quite see the sign that said I couldn't be," he apologized. Udon looked to the man, who wore a Konoha forehead protector. "Just because you're a shinobi doesn't mean to say you can break the rules." "Well, I unfortunately have a knack for breaking the rules, sadly. It's not intentional, I assure you, haha. Please, forgive me."
The man made his way over to Team Masoda. He pulled a small notebook out of his pocket, and quickly leafed through the pages, pausing to read occasionally. "You... are... the members of Genin Team #10, correct?" "...uh...yes, that's us." Maz hesitated for a second: he was used to hearing Team Masoda instead of their official name -- that is, if a number could be called a name. The man bowed, and put the book back in his pocket. "Judging by your forehead protector, and the fact that you know us, you must be our sensei... right?" Dayna asked. "Yes, I am Sanada Katsuyama, your Jounin sensei. The, uh, news of interest, so to speak. Sorry I couldn't have joined you three sooner, haha."
((OoC: I will write up a bio about our sensei at some point.))

Maz spoke to Sorien. He nodded and was about to open his mouth to reply, but was cut in by a voice from behind the counter of the ramen stand. "It's been a long time since I've had a team that believes that." Sorien blinked once, then blinked again. He pulled a confused face and looked back at Maz and Dayna. Did they know who he was? "You... are... the members of Genin Team #10, correct?". Sorien blinked blankly again. Taking a back seat in this conversation. "I am Sanada Katsuyama, your Jounin sensei. The, uh, news of interest, so to speak. Sorry I couldn't have joined you three sooner, haha." At about this point Soriens eyeballs nearly fell out of their sockets, they had been so long without a Sensei (at least in his eyes) that he has almost forgotten the need for there to be an accomplished nin there.
Overcoming his bewilderment, Sorien got off his seat, stood up and extended his hand to his new Sensei. "Sorien" He said with a nod. "Although I trust you already know that huh?"

Katsuyama chuckled. "I wouldn't be much of a sensei if I didn't know that, haha." He shook Sorien's hand firmly.
"And you two...", said Katsuyama, looking over to Maz and Dayna; their hands still resting gently on the table. Katsuyama raised an eyebrow at the situation; Dayna quickly moved her hand away; Maz frowned, almost feeling guilty.
"I hope that doesn't become an issue," he said sternly. Through his thinly-framed glasses, his eyes suddenly seemed so cold, piercing; leaving Maz's heart feeling weighted, heavy. Katsuyama was a tallish man, an inch or two taller than Mazrakiel. While his skin wasn't deathly-white -- his skin only pale as any other man -- his stare gave off a frozen aura; it chilled Maz to the bone, like a ghost coming to haunt the young Adarakis. Was what the two doing wrong...? "Uh, well, no, sir.." Dayna spoke timidly. Maybe they had done the wrong thing after all.
... but if they had, why did it feel so right?
Katsuyama smiled suddenly, his hardened glare turned warm. "Love can be a powerful emotion. The bond between two lovers is unbreakable; if you stay true to that, you can accomplish much... not just for yourselves individually, but as a team. As long as the two of you do not falter, I believe this team has great potential... but if the two of you fall apart, it will affect not only the team, but yourselves individually. You would do well to remember that." Mazrakiel and Dayna nodded.
"I... don't mean to lecture you of course, haha. In fact, I believe it is BECAUSE of that love that this team will do well. But there is a greater stress on you all. And I would hate to see you fail." He looked over to Sorien. "I don't mean to leave you out, of course. You are a part of this team as well, Sorien, haha." He chuckled, in only a way that Katsuyama could.
Mazrakiel and Dayna looked back to each other; she grabbed his hand assuringly, and gazed into his eyes lovingly. I'm sorry I let go before, she thought, hoping Maz could hear her. It's alright. As long as you're happy, he seemed to reply, with the same loving gaze.
"So, Team #10. Mazrakiel of Adarakis, Dayna Marlin... and of course, our unforgotten Sorien. Tell me," he paused, flicking through the pages in his book -- finding records and comments of missions the trio had completed. He nodded approvingly.
"What have you done with yourselves in my absence?"
