One bright, sunny day...
Masato wandered aimlessly through the forest, not knowing what he was searching for. His only intention for the day was to find a secluded place to practice the technique that had gotten him thrown out of his family. "Bloody jyuuken" he muttered to himself. Deciding that he had found the best possible location, or perhaps that he didn't feel like walking any further, Masato set down the 4 bokken, the swords, and the small package he was carrying, containing a bento, several bottles of water, and some soldier pills, down he looked around to check out the area. Seeing nothing amiss, he unstrapped the special practice dummy from his back and quickly tied it to a tree limb. The special thing about this dummy is that it had tenketsu, or chakra pores, and a system that told the user if those tenketsu had been properly struck. Unstrapping his swords, for better range of movement, he set them gently atop his pack, and began to limber up his body, in preparation for the workout to come.

Yamiko opened his silver eyes. Their pale gaze immediately turned elsewhere and he winced as a beam of sunlight struck him from through the leafy canopy above him. He groaned and sat up straight on the treelimb, wrapping his legs around the woody arm to keep from falling. He yawned.
What had woken him?
He sensed someone. It wasn't a ghost this time, he knew that much. His bracelets weren't rattling. Running a thin hand back along his head, he made sure his braid wasn't caught on anything and swung down, flipping in mid-air to land on his feet, silently on the ground. The boy gazed about and rest his hand upon his katana.
No one was in sight.
What he sensed was a little further off to the right. He took a deep breath and wondered if he should just leave it be...but he was curious. He stood and pondered a little longer. Then he decided. Walking quietly, he headed towards whoever had entered into his range.

Now that his muscles were at fighting readiness, Masato began to focus his chakra to his palms and then, ever so painfully slowly, forced the chakra out through his tenketsu, attempting to immediately close off the holes behind the chakra, but of course, failing. However, this time, he wasted about half as much chakra as usual. He tried several more times, and somewhat pleased with his progress, minor though it might have been, he moved on to working the practice dummy. He failed to seal the tenketsu according to Hyuuga standards however, and the blasted machine continaully beeped it's disapproval to him. Growing angry, remembering how this selfsame dummy had been beeping at him in this manner for 17 years now, he took up one of his swords, and in a fit of rage, used his original technique, Arashi no hitotachi, on the expensive, and complex, dummy, which promptly fell into pieces. "That is symbolism, there." He said quietly to himself. "My Hyuuga Kenjutsu style will show them... The limits they set are not the only measure of a Hyuuga shinobi!!!" Sheathing his sword, he shrugged and, strapping the sheaths to his back in their customary places, he began to follow his normal practice routine.

Yami halted when he heard the strange beeping and noise of practice. He peered through the trees into the clearing, watching the other genin work. He remembered seeing him around the village before...
As the other boy apparently lost his temper and destroyed the dummy, Yami smirked to himself and gathered up only a small amount of his chakra to catapult himself up into the tree above him. He perched on the limb and tilted his head, watching Masato in interest.

Iro was lounging on one of the many giant trees that surrounded his great village of Konoha. He lazily drifted back and forth between the real world and the dream world. Images of his past continually fluttered through his mind the leaves blowing in the wind. He let out a light sigh as the soft warm breeze passed over him, warming him all the way through. "I love days like this" Iro said to himself. He loved to feel the breeze pass over his face, with nothing covering it. He rarely removed his forehead protector from over his eyes, let alone the bandages. "I don't feel like doing much today." As the day passed on, Iro began to get restless, and his rest was disturbed when he caught the sent of a surge of chakra somewhere nearby. "Hmmmm... I don't recognize this at all" he said as he hopped to his feet. "Ahhhh, time to go have some fun, this has gotten me quite curious!" Iro dropped from his branch high in the canopy, to one of the lower branches. He began slowly making his way to the source, hoping to avoid detection. "Lets see whats going on, shall we?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After a few moments, Iro had arrived at the source. Iro arrived just in time to hear a torrent of angry beeps coming from something in the clearing. There appeared to be someone practicing on some sort of dummy, and he seemed to be loosing his patience rapidly. Before long, he got fed up with the doll, and Iro barely caught him dice the dummy into pieces. Only moments later, Iro heard a slight rustling of leaves nearby. It appears as though I'm not the only one watching this fellow. Iro smirked to himself, this could get interesting.

(This post was written while listening to the main Naruto theme... I just think that the taiko in the background gives a good general Kata rythm... plus I like the song)
After completing his second set of stretching exercises, Masato pulled his swords from their sheaths and began to complete a basic kata he learned as a child. He continued kata until he reached a truly advanced kata, at which point, he began to put his all into each slash, as if each slash was meant to be a true opponent. The next step in his morning routine was training against a "live" opponent, so he stopped and reached into his bag for the soldier pills, and taking one, he created a bunshin, which he gave two of the bokken he was carrying with him, hefting the other two himself. He dueled his bunshin, fighting completely defensively, knowing that the least attack would destroy the chakra creation instantly. Finally, after about 5 minutes, he suddenly struck, ducking under the bunshin's slash and striking as quickly as a serpent, stabbing the point of his bokken into the bunshin's chest. As the last part of his training for the morning, he tied a number of targets at different heights all around him and picked up his swords for the second time. Activating the byakugan, he suddenly used his Stroke of the Tempest jutsu and destroyed every target within seconds. As he stopped spinning from his attack, he suddenly realized that he was not alone, and based on the comfortable positions of the observers, they had been there a long time. Suddenly curious, and somewhat confused, Masato resheathed his swords and looked more closely at the two hidden people. "Hello? Can I help you?" He shouted towards them, hoping to get a reply.
