For the IF Vets: How to Participate in the NEW Interactive Fanfiction
Well folks, it’s here at last! The NEW AND IMPROVED Konoha Village Interactive Fanfiction! As we all know, the IF has expanded considerably beyond what it started out to be. In fact, it's expanded so much that our current setup is bursting at the seams. I've seen increasing signs that our original setup just isn't going to work anymore – because of this I've worked with our wonderful Staff to revamp the old system and turn it into an easier, more flexible system that's suitable for an interactive fanfiction of our size. A lot of things will be the same, some things will be different, some will simply be explained in a better way than they were before. But no matter the case, everything in the new system works together to provide a better, more enjoyable experience for all – with less hassle and burden for our Staff members.
In order to see what's new, look around. You'll see a new board, “Getting Started”. This has everything you'll need to know about the new setup, and has been designed for ease of use: one thread should direct you to another, which directs you to the next thread, etc.
For starters, go on over to the “Welcome to the IF!” thread, which will have all the links you need to review in the order you need to review them. Once you've gotten acquainted with the new system, you'll be ready to resume activity in the IF. Don't worry - if you're used to the old system, getting caught up on the new will be a piece of cake. You'll just have to read the posts and as long as you understand everything, you'll be done with it and ready to continue in the IF.
