Whee! So I've decided to join the IF! Yaaaay. I can't wait. I love to RP! ^^
Name: Uteke Kiyoshi
Age: 17
Hair: Shaggy and Brown
Eyes: Brown
Skintone: light brown
Weapon of Choice: wooden staff
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 145 lbs.
Clothes: simple pants and vest-type shirt. Something you'd wear to school, ya know? He has like...NO protection XD
Jutsu: Risuningu no Jutsu (Listening Technique)
-Although this jutsu has been passed down in the Uteke clan, it can be easily learned by anyone. When using this jutsu, you simply heighten your sense of hearing. Things closer to you are louder, and things farther away are softer. The more chakra you pull into the jutsu, the wider the range. From there, you use your skill to filter out excess noise and listen in on a particular sound. For instance, you could listen to a conversation 10 miles away from your living room. More skilled "Listeners" can even home in on where a sound is coming from by using the sounds around them to get an idea of where they are. Though not very useful in battle, it can be a life-saver at other times. (check out the jutsu board for a more detailed...thing)
Personality: Kiyoshi is nothing like his name would suggest (means quiet child). Due to living with his grandmother for so many years, he's become fiercely loyal and has a deep and unwavering respect for women. However, despite this, he's loud and very energetic. If someone is sad, count on Kiyoshi to come along and try to cheer them up. Of course, he tries to cheer them up, but more often than not they don't want to be cheered up so...eh..yeah.
History: Back during the war, Kiyoshi was around 5 or 6. At the time, he'd just started in his training with the Risuningu no Jutsu. While practicing one day, however, he accidentally overheard a very strange conversation. What it was, he had no idea, but what scared him most was that whomever he'd heard talking had realized that HE was listening. Kiyo was scared and confused, but didn't tell his family, or his neighbor and childhood friend, Nada-chan about it. Then, one fateful night, someone broke into Kiyo's room. He did something to him, though no one is quite sure what exactly. In the end, Kiyo was put into a coma.
The Uteke clan was frantic, and had no idea what to do. Kiyo's brother, Makoto, did have an idea, however. Taking him to the Hokage, he was put in the medical ward, all held in secret. For his own safety, no one was to know what exactly had happened to Kiyo. He was to have "disappeared." Whatever it was Kiyo had heard, his life was now in the medical staff's hands.
For years afterwards, Makoto would stay by Kiyo's bed, listening to his thoughts, trying to find out how to wake him up. Most thought the attempts were fruitless, but he persisted anyways. Shifting his time between this and listening for the Hokage, Makoto had little time for his family.
But one day something strange happened. Kiyo's mind had a sudden burst, and he seemed to be hearing something. This time, Makoto heard what Kiyo heard, and rushed to the Hokage, who then sent him on a mission. What happened to Makoto after being sent away remains a mystery...
Meanwhile, Kiyo showed remarkable signs of improvement that day. But it was an ill-fated day, in the end. As word of Kiyo's activity started to leak out (even though he was supposed to be missing), it became clear that Kiyo would be in even more danger now.
That night, both Kiyo's mother and father were murdered, their home burned down around them. Only Kiyo's grandmother, "Grams," survived, and instinctively took Kiyo away from . Before anyone knew it, Kiyo had vanished again, Grams was missing, his parents were murdered, and Makoto was who-know's-where.
Kiyo awoke that night, but had no idea that he'd been in a coma for years. To him, it seemed that he'd just woken up from a nap. To help him cope with the fact that his family was presumed dead, Grams did something else to him. In the end, Kiyo never knew he'd been in a coma all of these years, memories implanted by whatever Grams had done to him.
Because of this, Kiyo acts like a man his age would, but still retains childlike tendencies, as is in his personality. Upon learning that Makoto had not died, but was in exile for some reason, Kiyo was thrilled.
It seemed that a lot of things would happen on this day, as Grams passed on when Makoto came home. Though Kiyo has no idea why, Makoto is very protective of him, as was his Grams. Still a child in many ways, he is annoyed by this, and wants to continue old friendships, like his old neighbor, Nadameru.
Remarkably, despite all that's happened to him, Kiyo is very upbeat. Though, who knows? This could be due to someone tampering with his mind as well...
Kiyo actually knows few techniques. With the exception of the bunshin no jutsu (clone) and henge no jutsu (transform), his only other jutsu is Risuningu, which he is very good at (phase 1 anyway).
EDIT~Alrighty, guys! I got inspired and changed a few things about him. Hope you like!~EDIT
