"Oi, that's better than the kind of girl talk you hear around my house," Takeo said, giving his head a shake. "But they should be opening the doors soon, so it's probably a good idea to get closer..."

" Tch. Yeah, I can just imagine." Ichiyuumaihi replied mechanically, pushing his way past a few people, and just barely leaving a wake for the Uchiha kid to follow behind. " 'Bout time they got this thing started, though."

The sharp metallic click of a lock being turned, the jingling of bells as the front door opened at last, and a celebratory cheer from the crowd near the front were the telltale signs: the door had been opened, and the show would start soon! As the two teenage children of the Cafe's current proprietor, Tensei Misato, made sure everyone got in all right, the first few guests finally managed to press their way inside. Upon entering, they would first go up the front steps into a small foyer, with little more than a guestbook and two doorways: one on the left, one on the right. The left-hand door was the destination of choice for most, leading into the main part of the cafe. It opened onto the rear portion of the huge room: to the left, along the back wall, there was a bar area where nonalcoholic beverages, various snacks and - when available - merchandise were available for purchase as advertised by the brightly colored signs and menus; to the right, at the far end of the room, the enormous stage was visible. Currently, the red curtains were closed, with a projector shining the Kaomoji Cafe's logo onto their rich surface. The floor descended in wide tiers from the bar area down to the lowest part of the venue: the space right in front of the stage, which today would act as a mosh pit. On the other tiers there were normally small tables surrounded by groups of three or four chairs each (these had been cleared out of the way for more standing room this evening), and a few ragged old couches in the back provided a more comfortable place to rest for those who inevitably would overdo things in the mosh pit. The lighting was low in the dark-painted room, but not so low as to hinder visibility. And as the first guests flooded in, the place immediately took on the excited feel of a performance venue about to come to life. Takeo's reply was cut short when the door swung open, and the crowd promptly began a mad surge inside. He had to ride the wave or be trampled, but a few people did manage to slip by. Among them were the Yanagawa from earlier and an orange-haired friend of hers. "Enjoy the show, short stuff!" the orange-haired woman yelled with a saucy grin. "If you can make it inside!"

" Ikuzo!" Practicality be damned, Ichiyuumaihi was getting into this venue, and he was going to get a good spot! " Try and keep up, kid!" He called back to Takeo over his shoulder, already weaving his way through the rush, sparing no elbow to the side or foot to be stepped on. With a reckless grin, the air immediately surrounding him became just a hair hotter, enough to create a ripple of paranoid concert-goers flinching back in random directions. The ensuing minor pandemonium made it all too easy to slip inside, and before too long, an annoyingly familiar head of orange hair emerged from the crowd. Patting a shoulder roughly as he slid past, he fired off his toothiest grin. " I appreciate the concern, Beanpole, but fear not. Ore...Sanjou~"

...... well, crap. Takeo had found himself unable to ride the massive rush of people despite the guards attempting to slow everyone down. He'd seen Ichi take off like a rocket as though trying to race the two women from earlier to the front - a random glance revealed them shooting towards the mosh pit along the side of the venue, where things were more open - and everyone else had surged forward, separating Takeo from his companion and generally leaving him to float as he would on the tsunami of enthusiastic fans. Eventually he found his way to a clearer spot where he could edge his way to the front without being trampled, but people were already packing in pretty tight. Still, he didn't want to just abandon Ichi, and he did want a good view of the show. So after edging around a group of female chuunin and nearly smacking right into a strange, black-haired, blue-eyed Tensei who merely stared at him until he went around, Takeo finally made his way as close to the front as he could get. He couldn't see Ichi yet, but now he was distracted. Why had that Tensei boy's stare seemed so familiar?

Looking about the room, it was actually a pretty nice establishment. Nicer than anything he'd been in before, at least. There was also a distinct lack of Hero Boy. " Tch, looks like he couldn't keep up after all. Shame. S'not a bad kid....Ah well!" Turning his focus back to the stage, Ichiyuumaihi grinned as the lights began to dim.

"Think it's about time?" Hideko asked from her spot on stage, flipping her long brown hair over her shoulder. Dramatic black and silver makeup emphasized her Tensei eyes. "Yeah! Yeah!" Eiji agreed with a nod, snugging the fingerless gloves, black trimmed with white, he had donned for their performance. "Might as well do it," Daichi put in, checking one last time that his mic was on. "It's that time."Moving as one, the Tensei Triplets - dressed in different but coordinating performance outfits of black tops trimmed with white and khaki pants - flowed from their waiting places to the pose they had decided on. The dull roar of a milling crowd drifted through the red velvet curtain, getting all three pumped for a great show. Eiji looked at Hideko. Hideko looked at Daichi. Daichi looked back at Eiji. The three nodded, faces split in identical grins. "Hit it, guys!" they said in unison to the stage crew. The milling conversation from the crowd stopped, a clear sign that the house lights had dimmed to where they would remain for the show. Some people cheered, while others just waited expectantly. Lights came on onstage, backlighting the trio with their cool white glow and silhouetting them in a halo of light to the crowd's eyes. The music started even before the curtain open, a simple rhythmic hand-clapping accompanied by Hideko's wordless melody. And then the bass rhythm kicked in. It was only then that the curtain whooshed open, revealing the three backlit siblings, still holding their pose. Eiji joined in on the accompaniment too this time, though the three still didn't move. Then the song started in full, and the real show started. The stage lights came on, Eiji and Daichi launched into alternating lines of the main rap, while Hideko took her turns in the more melodic parts of the song. As soon as the song came to life the three broke apart, alternating between more simple movements and Hideko's dynamic, fast-paced choreography. It was a simple song in and of itself, but designed to get people pumped up. That's what opening numbers were for, of course. It worked beautifully, from what the three could tell onstage. A few people could be heard clapping along to the rhythmic pattern that had kept up through the entire song, and though it was hard to tell because of the blinding stage lights, it appeared that a few people had decided to get an early start on the mosh pit. Then the song came to an end, the three ending up once more in a dynamic pose, though one that was different from the one from which they had started the show. They held that pose for a couple seconds as the crowd's cheers began, then broke apart to wait for things to quiet down a little.

Okay. So that had been a fairly decent start. The beat had been nice and quick, and importantly, the performance itself had been a little flashy. Ichiyuumaihi liked flashy things. They were cool. Stopping a random audience member from falling over due to premature moshing, he shot the offender a rather blistering glare. Almost literally. " Wasting good moshing before the climax...aught to toss them out myself.." He grumbled, mostly to himself, before returning his attention to the stage. Should be just about time for the main event, and everything was going juuuuust fine.

Takeo was among those of the crowd who were getting pumped, but not those who were getting carried away with themselves too early. Still, the music was catchy and exciting, the atmosphere was livening up, and things were starting to get exciting. This was going to be a good night. Hideko nodded to Daichi. Daichi glanced to Eiji. Eiji pointed to the sound guys off stage, and the next track started up. Normally the three used Genjutsu and Daichi's beatboxing for their instrumentals, but with no Genjutsu allowed at this particular venue, they had gotten together will willing relatives to pre-record the background tracks. All the vocals were, of course, performed live, and this particular number was about to kick it up another notch. Tempo-wise, this song picked up where the last left off, and on top of it added another catchy rhythm and more intricate lyrics for the rap portions - done by the boys, of course - while Hideko handled the chorus sections almost entirely on her own. There was even a portion of the song where the background instrumentals cut out - on purpose, of course - and Eiji continued the verse accompanied by Daichi's beatboxing before the music chimed back in. That was a huge hit with the group's own followers, of course. The next song was more lighthearted, with a lot more melody than the last two songs. Its high kept the crowd energized, while the positive message behind the lyrics infected many in the crowd. At least, many out of the ones the Triplets could actually see, which wasn't very many at all considering the lights onstage, but oh well. The performers were having the time of their lives, and the reaction from the crowd when the song was over meant that most of the audience, at least, was having a good time.

They're really good.." Pretty good for an opening act....not totally crazy about that last one, but it didn't make my ears bleed, so I can't complain much." Ichiyuumaihi responded seemingly at random, actually giving up a small amount of applause he felt they'd earned. " Might not be a bust after all."

One more catchy, upbeat number, and the Triplets had finished their opening set, much to the apparent enjoyment of the crowd. "Thank you, everyone!" Eiji called out to the crowd, offering his cheesiest stage grin. "As you all know," Hideko continued, "Tonight we're just opening up for some of our favorite cousins...""Though of course we're only happy to come help celebrate the end of the war and the rise of a new Hokage!" Daichi picked up from where Hideko had trailed off. "But this whole thing was put together by some of our favorite cousins," Eiji added, "So of course they're headlining this great night.""Everyone," Hideko announced at last, "Please join us in giving a huge welcome to one of Konoha's favorite bands:""CRIIIIMSON PHAAAAAAAAASE!"With that, the crowd exploded and the lights onstage went out entirely. A couple moments later, a very faint red backlight could be seen rising from behind the stage. The musicians were swapping out, and the tech team was switching everything from the Triplets' setup to the band's, but the main act would be out any minute...

As the lights dropped out again, leaving only a soft backlight of red, Ichi couldn't help but grin broadly. Red was a good color. He liked red. It was sad, but that light alone was already improving his opinion of this bad. Now, to just wait and- " Oi!" That had not been a pleasant elbow to the ribs. Whirling around on the offender, Ichiyuumaihi promptly raised the self-assuredly-safe-in-darkness figure up above his head. " Ain't the time or place for crap like that! Y'wanna be overeager, do it outside!" With a bit of a shove-off, the anonymous figure was sent sailing across a sea of hands towards the back of the room, and thus the exit. Sure, they were in a mosh pit, but a great guy like him knew there were certain rules to follow.

..... uh-oh. That... was not what Zyu had been wanting to see. "You want backup?" Hoshiko asked. "Nah, I got this," Zyu reassured her. "I'll see you around, 'kay?" "Sure thing!" It was pretty easy for Zyu to slip through the crowd, so it wasn't long before she had come up behind her new 'friend' and was laying a hand on his shoulder. "You'd better watch it, Short Stuff," she warned him in a tone of voice that was intended to sound helpful, but still kept an edge of 'don't-mess-around' underneath the friendliness. "Didn't I tell you they'll throw you out if you get too excited? The guards're gonna be onto you, now."

" Tch. Tell that to the guy who was trying to introduce his elbow to my kidney, without any music going!" Turning back around to face his critic, he folded his arms over his chest. " Guy was gettin' rowdy ahead of time, and I know I've got a short fuse. I was tryin' NOT to cause a big scene, y'know, which is what WOULD have happened had he continued jabbin' me. At least I got the brains not to go all out. S'a mosh, not an underground fight club." " I ain't stupid, Beanpole. I'm trying to have a good time like everyone else, and he was gonna be 'that guy' who screws it up for everyone else. So he took a little trip."

"I was just sayin'," Zyu half-pouted, putting her hands on her hips. "Listen, kid, it may not seem like it, but I actually want you to have a good time here, which is why I didn't bother letting the guards have their way with you. So quit this high-and-mighty act and just listen to me for a sec. "I've been coming to this place for years, all right? And I'm telling you that if the guards find out you're the one who tossed that guy out, you'll be the next one 'taking a little trip' right off the clan grounds. If someone's being stupid, there are other ways to handle them. But you've gotta be subtle about it, or someone else is gonna get hurt and you won't get to see the show. I'm glad you're looking out for the other guests, but I should probably let you in on something since you're new. "You see all the Tensei in this crowd? The performers may not be allowed to use Genjutsu for their acts, but any Tensei in the crowd is more than authorized to deal with any undue aggression going on down here. So just do your best to keep the stupid folks away from you and you'll probably see him being taking a different kind of 'trip' in a few minutes."
