I'm sure the show is going to be blamed for this. Lord knows my parents would have a field day if they heard.
COMMON SENSE, people. Learn it, Use it, Teach it.
I tried emulating my favorite cartoons all the time when I was that age, but I knew better than to go as far as something like that.
TMNT anyone? I never felt compelled to jump down a manhole.

Yeah, still, the parents should be monitoring what their children watch anyway. Particularly the scenes with Gaara, as he's quite a nut-job. Naruto is a violent anime, which if it was a movie (using real people I mean, type thing) would be quite explicit. But you're right. It never should have been subbed for children.
Although it's easy for me to sit here and say that. I'm sure the parents are having a hard enough time without comments like mine.

True. It's a sad event, and my condolences go out, but the fact still stands someone should have been keeping an eye on those kids.

I was about to say. Who the heck was watching the kids at the time? I mean, you don't have to sit outside with them the whole time, but come on. Be somewhere you can keep an eye on them. And you know. Put a stop to things BEFORE the child has time to suffocate.
That's horrible. Horrible. I can't believe that.
I hope they finish their days leading guilt-ridden, hopeless lives.

I agree.
The worst thing is is that people will, more than likely, target the wrong 'enemies' and go off on crusades believing they can make a difference... believing that they can prevent this from happening again in the future, throwing money around and tossing ideas at politicians to 'make things better'.... "Target the source! BAD PROGRAMS, OFF THE AIR NOW"
Sigh.

Exactly. I guess people will do just about anything to keep from seeing who's really to blame. I mean, god forbid anyone admit they should have actually taken the time to care about what their child was doing. The self-righteous morons do this same kind of crap with the violent video game tirades, when all the parents have to do is pay attention to the kinds of games their kids are playing.
