Sorien did his best to join the ranks of the marching shinobi. They passed through the gates, and came to a halt. It was then that Sorien laid eyes upon the Kazekage, in full uniform. Sorien couldn't hide a grin when he saw this. Such power, such honour. The Kazekage held up his hand and attained silence. His voice boomed with command, as if under the effect of a jutsu. It was short and sweet. The excitement from both parties filled the air in the form of applause. They were here. Sorien nodded serenely amongst the cheering. They were here.

Hoshiko straightened proudly when Hokage-sama exited her wagon, and watched attentively for what would happen next. Kazekage-sama's voice captured the awe of everyone present, and his enthusiastic welcome called forth a great cheer from everyone. Hoshiko joined in the cheers and applause, eager to get their visit underway.

Shinako clapped excitedly with the others, her eyes sparkling as she cheered. Tatsuya was, of course, going crazy; and even quiet, dignified Izumi found herself cheering with the others - if just slightly quieter than some of her peers. This would be an experience to remember....

From the family closest to my heart, to the family from a distant land: Welcome to the Hidden Village of the Sand!"The crowd erupted; Maz nodded, and joined in with the applause. He looked at Kohana, and smiled at her. Yeah. That's right. Welcome to Sand Village, Maz.

Sayuri smiled as she watched the welcoming ceremony - but unfortunately, she didn't have the time to watch any longer. She was expected on the first shift of the guards assigned to Hokage-sama's rooms, and there was still the final security check to be done.
Vanishing in a puff of smoke, Sayuri set off across the rooftops of Hidden Sand, headed towards the destination known only by a very few.

As Iro heard the commotion increase from outside the wagon, he came to the conclusion that they were nearing Sand. I'm not gonna let being a bit beat up stop me from seeing this... I've heard all sorts of stories about how different Sand village looks from Konoha.
He leaned over and grabbed his jacket and slung it on. He snapped the shoulder strap closed, and fastened the waist closed delicately. He fastened his forehead protector over his eyes and pulled open the rear flap of the wagon. The desert sun immediately warmed his face, and even being blind and having the forehead protector over his eyes, he could tell it was much brighter. He let out a small pulse of chakra , getting a basic idea of his surroundings. Amazed at his surroundings and confused by the large amount of people running all over the place, he let out stronger pulses to get a more detailed view of the setting.
Large gates opened, giving way to an enormous city. There was a roar of voices. As the caravans stopped moving, the noise seemed to cease suddenly. Iro heard a voice booming across the caravan, " Friends, family, and comrades, with this visit, we honor the most glorious of occasions - the triumph of allies over the cruel enemies of war and violence. This momentuous occasion is a time of true celebration - of friendship, of family, and of dreams that still live on. From the family closest to my heart, to the family from a distant land: Welcome to the Hidden Village of the Sand!"
With that, the crowd began to roar again, this time much louder then previously. He could hear those around him shouting and clapping. Iro joined in clapping, and even tried shouting a bit, until the pain in his chest told him to stick to clapping.
I wonder where Maz and Kohana are... Iro thought and started trying to weave his way through the crowd.

Looking around, he heard the crowd give off an enormous roar. Thanking his lucky stars that he didn't have his risuningu on, Kiyo moved more towards the center of the crowd. "I can't believe they're giving us such a nice welcoming ceremony!" said someone next to Kiyo. For what reason they were getting such a huge welcome, he had no idea. Regardless, all he knew was that he needed to get closer, so-as to actually see what was going on. Weaving his way through the crowd, Kiyo had to dodge a sudden wave of hands as people all around him started clapping. "Sheesh, what is with these people! You'd think they'd never been in a new town before..."

Tensei Amaya Ren replaced her ANBU mask after taking a swig of water, pausing to make sure it was properly secured before opening the door of the wagon. The heat was not being kind to anyone in the caravan, but if affected Ren in particular. She caught the doorframe as the wagon lurched and threatened to send her tumbling to the ground. "Are you all right?" Asano asked, concern showing through her calm voice. "You've been dizzy ever since this heat picked up, haven't you?" "I'm fine," Ren replied gratefully as she hopped down and continued walking with her group near the back. "The wagon lurched; that's all." "Of course Ama-chan* is fine!" their fiery teammate Zyubirii chirped from behind her white ANBU mask. "She's indestructible!" Ren just laughed. "Thanks for your concern, Zyu," the Squad Leader said wryly, right before letting out a loud "Ooof!" as the freckled ANBU tackled her. "Oh, Ama-chan!" Zyu squealed. "Don't think I don't love you!" "Zyu..." Ren began. "Yes?" "You're choking me." Asano couldn't help but laugh as Zyu launched herself off their squad leader, bemoaning her own thoughtlessness until Ren cut her off. "We're there," she told them simply. "Let's go." * * * * * At the end of Kazekage-sama's speech, the three women couldn't help but smile. This was going to be the best mission any of them had had in a long while. *Ama-chan = Zyu's nickname for Ren (Zyu and Asano are two of the few people close enough with Ren to use her first name)
