While punching in the air, whilst still moving alongside the wagon, the Jounin Nadameru made her way toward him. "Seems they're leaving us out, huh?". Sorien openly huffed again, as he knew that she wouldn't take it too seriously. "No kidding Nadameru-sama. This seems to go forever, what draws you out here? Same thing?" He asked, ceasing his punching, and giving her a questioning look

"Good, good," Kaori said. "You're here. Come in, quickly now. You too, Haruki. Akina?" Akina nodded and slipped outside - patrolling for possible eavesdroppers - shutting the door behind her. "Listen closely and listen carefully," she told the two Genin. "You two have talents that are ideal for what we need right now," she told them. "You may have noticed that the ANBU have gone on alert, yes?" When they replied in the affirmative, she continued. "Something is happening, and no one knows for sure what it is. The accute senses of an Inuzuka. The all-seeing Byakugan eye. I think you know what it is I need you to do, yes?"
Before she could continue, a huge explosion racked the caravan. It had come from a little way up ahead. Kaori cursed, then looked at the two Genin in the wagon. "Excuse me," she said, just as Akina ripped the door open. "It's an ambush," she said grimly. "There's been an explosion that blocked the road ahead of us. They'll be coming anytime."
Kaori bit her lip to keep from cursing again - instead the only sound she made was an irritated "Tch." She nodded at Haruki. "It's time. Initiate the defense formation." She turned to the two Genin. "There's no time to waste. Inuzuka, what do your senses tell you? Hyuuga! What do you see?"
((OoC: HH, just make something up as far as the defense formation goes. As far as the enemies go, so y'all know what to see, hear, or smell, there are six of them, surrounding the caravan at various places, but it would be well to note that most of them would be hidden almost invisibly even to those with special jutsu. Oh, and when Kaori says Inuzuka, she's addressing both human and dog.))

Only moments after the large group had left towards the hokage's cart, the ground shook as the path ahead was rocked by an explosion. Iro instictively drew his staff, preparing for the inevitable fight that was coming.
d**n, what on earth is going on? Hokage-sama was so careful, there's no way anyone could know about us.
Iro ran forward to where Nada-sensei and Sorien were waiting, "Nadameru-sensei, whats going on?"

"Well--" Nada began in response to Sorien, but was interrupted as an explosion shook the surrounding area. Maintaining her balance from that, she was nearly knocked down by Akina bursting into the wagon.
"It's an ambush!" Nada heard from inside. "There's been an explosion that blocked the road ahead of us. They'll be coming anytime."
Lovely. Well, this answered a question or two... sort of.
She turned to see Iro running toward she and Sorien.
"Nadameru-sensei, what's going on?" he demanded.
"Not sure," she admitted. "Both of you stick close to me, alright?" Not waiting for a response--or argument--she headed back toward the wagon containing the remaining Genin. The ANBU would have their hands full--someone had to make sure the lower ranked shinobi stayed out of it for their own safety.

Before she knew it things got from a little bit interesting, to very interesting....
A large explosion shook the wagon causing everyone to be tossed about, "What the freak was that!?!?" Kirei yelled aloud.
"It's an ambush!" she heard someone yell, "There's been an explosion that blocked the road ahead of us. They'll be coming anytime."
Kirei clenched her fists tightly and bit her lip, she closed her eyes and tried her best to calm down. No matter what she had to keep her mind and body under control and be aware of her surroundings.
Ok, remember your training, deep breath in through the nose...then release out the mouth.
She wasn't going to screw this up..not her first big mission!

Masato cursed as an explosion rocked the caravan. He grimly slid his swords into place, and as the Hokage ordered him to look around. "I see... six shinobi of high level, mixed men and women. As a matter of fact..." His jaw suddenly dropped and his hands went to his swords as he swore again under his breath. Finally, he spoke grimly. "Hokage-sama, we may have a problem... a big problem... three of the shinobi i see out there are on those cards that you and Tokoharu-san were holding."

Kaori's heart was in her throat. Three of them..... on the Bingo Book Cards? Keeping her face expressionless, she spread out the cards in front of the Hyuuga. "Which ones do you see?" she asked quietly.

Masato reached out and indicated three of the cards spread out in front of him. "These ones Hokage-sama. They are located over there, there and there, respectively." He indicated a card and then pointed in a specific direction as he spoke. "The other three I cannot identify, because their faces are in shadow too far." He began to trail off, and then suddenly spoke. "Wait, there is a fourth! This one is located over there," he said, pointing off to the left. "Hokage-sama, based on their positions, I'd say they are preparing to make an attack any time now... It's almost as if they're waiting for a signal or something... Judaime, just give me the word and I will give my life for you and the village."

Kaori smiled warmly. "You two," she said firmly, "are to report back to the wagon you came from. immediately." The smile vanished. "I admire your loyalty, but these shinobi are far beyond your level. If the worst should happen, you are to break cover only to create a chance to escape and return to the village. Do. You. Understand?" She waited for the reply, then continued. "Go. Now."
As soon as they left, she turned to Akina, who looked - to Kaori - the way she herself felt. She looked at the cards the Hyuuga had pointed out, reading the names. "Hitoame Masazaku." "He'd be the one who set off the explosion, most likely," Akina mused.
"Ikusei Sumi."
"The Heartbreaker of Hidden Sand..."
Kaori paused before reading the next name. "Utatane Ryoichi."
Akina drew in a deep hissing breath. "S-ranked criminal...." she muttered.
"And..." Kaori sighed sadly, waving a card from the 'Missing in Action' suit. "Kojitsuke Shigekazu."
"What?!?" Akina demanded, her face going white. "It can't be.... there's no way...."
"It's true," Kaori said, her harsh voice covering up her true feelings. "He's better off dead."
"I can remedy that," Akina said grimly.
Kaori nodded. "Wait for the signal," she said soothingly.
Akina nodded, performing a quick partial Henge to "change" into her Jounin gear.
Kaori pulled a silver whistle from underneath her yukata. When blown, it would act as the signal for every Jounin in the caravan to mobilize. She knew she would have to use it, but was reluctant to give in. Finally she performed her own Henge - transforming into a redheaded woman, slightly taller than Akina, also in Jounin gear. She held up the whistle....
.....and sounded one clear, long note.
This is not going to be good.
((OoC: Shigekazu is Akina's former teammate, thought to be missing in action. They just discovered that he was, in fact, a Missing Nin all this time.))

Good, good. The Hokage said. You're here. Come in, quickly now. You too, Haruki... Haruki followed the genin into the wagon, and took a seat behind them. Akina exited the wagon, as Hokage-sama began telling the two youngsters about why she had summoned them.
Before the Hokage could continue any further, a great explostion racked the ground beneath them. Haruki nearly leapt to his feet to flee from the wagon to go on defense, but Kaori-sama had called him into the wagon...He couldn't leave.
She went on talking with the two young shinobi, asking questions, and trying to find out information about the nearing enemies. Haruki was too nervous and fidgety to pay any attention. He wanted to leave that wagon, and go on defense. He was finally jolted out of his inner-hysteria by a command from the Hokage. You two...are to report back to the wagon you came from. Immediately. A stern look spread across her face as she continued. I admire your loyalty, but these shinobi are far beyond your level. If the worst should happen, you are to break cover only to create a chance to escape and return to the village. Do. You. Understand? She waited for the reply, then went on. Go. Now.
Haruki got up and followed the two genin out once again to escort them back to their wagon. When they had climbed in, he looked at them sternly. "Remember...stay here." He then turned to go on defense with the rest of his squad.
~*~*~*~*~
Kohana trudged along by herself for awhile, kicking up dirt and small stones as she went, trying to keep herself entertained. It was a major bummer that she had to walk alone, having no one to talk to. She could go back to the wagon, but it was so crowded and muggy...
Suddenly, the ground shook from the force of an enormous explosion from up ahead. She stopped short in her tracks to look around. That was weird... she thought. I wonder what's going on?
Several minutes passed before she saw Haruki scramble out of the Hokage's wagon behind two of the genin that she had been in the wagon with earlier. He led them back to the wagon, then hurried to join Ryuji and Aijou at the rear of the caravan, with a slightly panicked look on his face.
After a minute or two, Kohana was tackled by an unknown force, and disappeared, then in a flash, reappeared at the wagon with Maz, and the other genin. She felt herself being tossed into the wagon, and she landed with a thud on her back in the middle of it, as well as on top of the feet of the others inside. She shot up to find Aijou standing there at the back of the wagon.
"You stay here! Don't leave this wagon unless you have to. Understand?!" he said, almost shouting, a certain panic in his voice.
Kohana nodded as she watched him disappear again, then apologized to everyone in the wagon, if she had hurt them.
What was going on? Was it bad? Was she going to have to fight? She scooched back into a corner of the wagon, and sank into a deep thought... What was going to happen to them?

Before Maz knew what was going on, an explosion had rocked the convoy, and the wagon came to a stop.
Maz looked around, but didn't move from his spot in the wagon. Hmph, he grunted to himself. If something's up... it'd probably be best if I stayed put... unless I'm told to move.
Sure enough, moments later, the Genin were being rushed into the wagon, and being told to stay put. Maz smiled to himself.
Kohana was thrown into the wagon, who fell on the floor in front of his feet. Maz looked oddly down at her, and helped her up.
Whatever was going on outside, it was big.

Nadameru quickly ushered Jyou and Sorien inside the wagon after hearing the whistle. Things were going bad quickly and she wanted them out of sight. Planting herself firmly in front of the wagon's entrance, she scanned the area. The other jounin were mobilizing as well.
OoC: Wahh! It's the best I could do....

The moment the Hokage had spoken to them Yaku had instantly signaled to Hiromi, and the little dog was alert as well. However, as he didn't get much of a chance to speak, he wasn't exactly all to thrilled to quickly be ushered out as quickly as they had come. He knew it was inapropriate, but...there was no way he could just go back and sit around!
As he and Masato were hurriedly hearded back to the wagon with the rest of the other genin, Yaku caught Hiromi's attention, and in that special way the Inuzuka's simply loved to speak in private with their canine companians, spoke to her. 'Spy eyes, Hiromi.' Yaku's special jutsu for seeing farther than the nearby was nowhere near as advanced nor as well planned as the Hyuuga evil-eye, and it was never intended to be used for such an important nor deadly situation. However, sometimes Yaku jumped on things a bit too quickly than was safe for him, and the consequence that shrouded both him and Hiromi was brushed much too quickly from mind.
'I'll help her, we'll help her...just like back then...'
Hiromi was a small dog, and even while Yaku and Masato were climbing back to the wagon, the little black dog managed to slip away from the rest of the crowd, unseen by most...
OoC: I'm sorry if I'm not supposed to...just felt bad for missing so much >.< I thought this would be a fun thing to add in, um, if I'm not supposed to Hokage-same, please just tell me. ^_^''

Masato groaned at being sidelined, but understood Hokage-sama's reasoning and snapped to comply. Beckoning for Yaku to follow him, he rushed back towards the wagon, swords in hand, ready to defend himself at a moment's notice. Upon reaching the wagon, he slipped inside and sheathed his swords. Deciding that the people inside had a right to know what was going on, he simply said, "The caravan is under attack by 6 or more missing-nins. Hokage-sama says that we are to stay inside the wagon, let the Jounin and ANBU do their jobs, and only fight if we absolutely need to to try to return to the village, if the situation becomes dire. Nadameru-dono is outside on guard, and I don't want to sound like a goody goody, but I'm going to do my best to make sure that Judaime-sama's orders are followed... so if you are going to leave this wagon, you're going through me, and the jounin on the other side." He shrugged and leaned on the wagon door.

Sorien was punching the air, he had just stopped to face Nadameru, when a warm burst of air rocked the surroundings. "Holy...that was a d**n nice explosion" He said complimenting it, and cursing it at the same time. "d**n...I'm gonna be taken aside though...I guess that explains where my team have gone...they'd noticed this occurence before this." Time moved very quickly, people were running everywhere. The red haired lady darted into where Masato and Yaku were. Shortly after, they emerged, running toward the caravan. Sorien turned, and without prompting did the same. "Still just a low-level nin..." He thought while running.
While running he quickly put something together he hadn't thought of before now. "Nadas...a fire user...the same age...and two levels higher than me...I MUST get stronger. I MUST protect the village...if not in this instance...later."
He rushed back to his wagon, the jounin assembled outside. Masato quickly summed up the situation, then assumed position in the doorway.
"Its ok mate. I think we know our orders, save your energy for the enemy. I ain't going anywhere, but in case of emergency...I think we know what I mean." His body was pulsing out light, the sure sign he was ready for anything, that his mind was as keen as the eye of Hyuuga.
