Ikusei Sumi leapt gracefully from tree to tree, trying to find the best place from which to launch her attack. Settling on a spot, she waited for her opportunity. It was then that she noticed something useful: a wagon seemingly full of civilians. He said that it would make her angry if we attack civilians, she thought, not noticing the ANBU on the other side of the wagon. That one would be good. Once she saw the signal - a small beam of light, like a laser, from across the road - she leapt down, pulling out her small metal fans and opening them with a rinigng snap. She alighted delicately beside the wagon, held out her fans, and began to spin. "Ninpou, Tsujikaze no Mai!" she chanted, sending razor-sharp gales of wind at the wagon's wooden sides. They hit their mark, and easily ripped open the sides of the pathetic structure and tore through the opposite side.
"'Morning," she said in a sultry voice to the surprised occupants, then began her dash towards them.

Hitoame Masazaku was practically giggling with glee as he watched the caravan approach. "Lots of wood," he cackled silently. "Ah, to see it go up in flame, the beauty!" He continued on in this manner until he recieved a smack upside the head. "Ouch!" he whined, scandalized. "Ryoichi, what was that for?"
"What do you think it was for, idiot?" replied Utatane Ryoichi, the leader of their group, who was standing next to the crouched Masazaku, watching the approaching wagon train. "Don't get carried away. They look like just a bunch of refugees, but this could be a decoy to attract us from the main group."
"Refugees, refugees!" giggled Masazaku. "Sad, dispirited refugees! Hardly have the will to run, they do! Ah, this will be fun...."
"Will you shut up? demanded Ryoichi, growing tired of this psycho's rantings. "We don't want to waste our ammo if it turns out to be a fake. Take it easy, okay? Oi, oi, not that much!!!" he siezed the sack of gunpowder out of Masazaku's liberal hands to a subsequent groan. "Do you want to kill us all?" Masazaku grinned, and Ryoichi sighed. "Dumb question. Oi, get ready! Here they come!" He signaled to Masazaku, who immediately began forming hand seals with childlike glee.
"Light the fuse, light the fuse!" he sang. "Count down to the show! In three, two, oooonnneeee!" he threw the bomb to the ground, and rent the earth with a shattering boom. "Look at them run!" sang Masazaku. "Like little ants! Oh, to stomp them all...." he gathered to spring, but Ryoichi grabbed his shoulder. "You," he said, almost exasperated, "will stay with me." Masazaku sighed. Ryoichi pulled a light pen out of his pocket and signaled to the rest of the team, then pulled a rather heavy Masazaku to his feet. "Let's go," commanded Ryoichi, and they jumped down to join the fray.

Aijou was about halfway to his post at the back of the caravan, when he sensed the presence of an enemy close by...too close.
In a split second, he spun around to see one of the ambushers land quietly next to the wagon. He watched closely as they readied to attack. The shrill ring of metal fans resonated through his ears, and in the wink of an eye, outstretched his arm, palm out, and put the Genkai Makuden* up around his sister's wagon.
He watched as the enemy attacked the wagon with peircing, razor sharp gusts of wind. They cleaved and ripped through the wooden frame effortlessly.
Aijou let out a sigh of relief, seeing that the occupants of the wagon, including Kohana, were all safe, even though the wagon had been torn to shreds. He soon made eye contact with his sister, and nodded once.
Kohana knew instantly what he meant, and she quickly placed her hands on the floor of the wagon, and concentrated her chakra into her own Genkai Makuden, replacing her brother's.
Seeing as the assailant was now charging at the now completely decimated wagon, Aijou's eyes sparked. With a tremendous burst of speed, he flew towards them, his fist pulled back, ready to throw a punch.
"RAIMEI SENTOU NO JUTSU*!" he shouted, a brilliant ball of lightning forming around his fist. He made contact with the attacker's stomach, the ball of lightning crackling and letting off a intense flash of light, as it was released into their body, followed by an explosive roll of thunder that shook the earth beneath them.
"Don't you EVER attack my sister!" he shouted at his opponent, his eyes, now glowing white, flashing and sparking with intense anger. Now he was mad...
Kohana watched from the wagon, nearly in tears. She wanted to help her brother so badly, but at the moment, protecting her fellow genin was most important....
(OoC: *Genkai Makuden - "Sheet Lightning Barrier" *Raimei Sentou - "Thunder Punch" You'll be able to find out more about them once I get around to posting Kohana and Aijou's jutsu.
Oh, and all of y'all in the wagon with Kohana...You're not aware that she's using the Genkai Makuden to protect you....)

Sumi wasn't expecting the retaliation to come so quickly. The white-haired man's attack made direct contact, sending her flying through the air. Soon enough though, she regained her edge, so to speak. "Kaiki Jinpuu!*" she shouted, flicking her fans and using the gusts of wind to right herself and land on her feet. The ninja shouted at her about attacking his sister - presumably the white-haired child currently cowering in the wagon's shattered remains - his eyes sparking fiercely. "Ooooh, an angry one," she purred, fluttering her fans so that one covered her face up to the eyes, and the other accentuating her curvaceous figure, "and good looking too." She stretched out her arms fluidly so her fans reached out to her sides and assumed a stance that would be sure to free her bare legs from the high slits in her skirt. "I like you," she said with a grin. Her eyes took on a smoky look as she returned to a fully vertical position, stretching as high as she could and crossing her arms at the wrists above her head. "Kouchou Boufuu!**" she chanted, and brought her arms down, crossing at her chest, and coming to rest at her sides. The resulting windstorm whistled and shrieked like nothing else, and she used the distraction to dissappear into the air above him.
*Kaiki Jinpuu = Recovery Gale **Kouchou Boufuu = Nightingale Windstorm

No sooner had Sorien asked cooperation from his fellow wagon-mates, a massive gust of slicing wind cut open the wagon around, somehow they were fine though. "d**n it. Just like a caged animal" Sorien spat, wanting to help in any way he could. He watched as a white hair ANBU laided a thundery fist into one of the enemy. A girl he was unsure of in the wagon, placed her hands to the ground, performing something Sorien knew not of. He knew he had to sit on the side-lines, but if anything came even close to attacking Sorien knew, that he would have to counter-attack in order to flee to let the Jounin and ANBU do their respective jobs. "Alright. Plan time" He shouted amongst the action around. "Maz, there are plenty of trees meaning plenty of shadow, I know it would take a lot of Chakra mate...but if you need to, can you take us away?" He asked. "Masato, I know you're doing this already, but byakugen would prove a useful tool for detecting incoming attacks and shinobi, let us know in advance, so we can enforce neccesary counter measures." He continued. "As I'm sure we're all aware, if the situation gets too out of hand, as genin, we should not stick around, we don't have the speed, and will become a liability for the ANBU and Jounin." Racking his brain he tried to think of anything else that he could use to his advantage. Nothing came.

As they were all tossed out of the wagon, spattering to the ground around them, Yaku instantly flipped back onto his feet once more. His heart was beating hard against his chest, but he was not afraid. Not yet.
In one small movement, his hand went up to the back of his head, where his forehead protector would be tied if he was still wearing. For a fraction of a second, his heart skipped a beat as he'd forgotten he'd removed it, but as he quickly remembered, h was soon back tothe situation at hand. He remained in his slightly crouched position, sharp eyes flickering around carefully to those other genin around him and as Sorien spoke, a slight black fire sparked in his eyes for not having been mentioned. He was quick to shake it off though as he turned his back on the rest, bringing his hands up in a seal before him. He hadn't sent Hiromi out into the danger for no reason. He'd be a help to them. He had to.
Quietly, so quietly so as none of the others could hear him, he whispered the jutsu to himself, closing his eyes. In the next moment, he was able to see from the very eyes of Hiromi, exactly what she gazed at at that very moment as she sneakily made her way swiftly through the trees. This jutsu was nothing to be compared to the Hyuuga Bloodline, for while this jutsu worked on other subjects besides Hiromi, it did have one rather...silly flaw to it. While Yaku was in the posession of the other's eyes, he could not open his own. It was meant for short term uses only, small projects, and while Yaku knew that Masato was standing not 10 feet from himself, he wouldn't allow himself to simply sit there, useless to the rest. He didn't seem to realize however, his jutsu may turn into more harm than help for the rest of them.

Masato drew his swords and took inventory of the situation. Six missing-nin, all of immense power attacking... Surrounded by a lightning barrier, and safe for the moment... Two squads of ANBU and many Jounin protecting the group... And the Hokage herself in the party... Overall, there were many ways this situation could be worse, but it was still not ideal.
There were far too many variables in the situation that had not been assigned values yet. First, who were these missing-nin, and why were they working together? Second, why were they attacking the caravan? Finally, what were the capabilites of the other Genin who were not on his team? Were they capable of handling themselves in a fight? Had they had any combat experience before? Pushing these problems to the back of his mind, Masato focused on the situation at hand, namely, what the heck they were going to do to extricate themselves from the battlefield, and how could they help resolve the situation if at all. Mentally shrugging to himself, he took a quick inventory of the items the Genin had with them, and the abilities that he knew they possesed. Not coming to an easy solution, he decided to see how events played out for the moment, and began to watch the combat in earnest, paying more attention to the fighting styles and capabilities of the enemy.

So..six missing-nin..and one of them uses wind type Jutsu, just like me....
Kirei was still a little bit shaken from when the first attack hit the wagon and wasn't quite sure what she should do. Should I look for my teammates or should I stay here with these people and possibly form a plan with them? She noticed a small group of Genin and decided to go over with them.

Everything was happening fast and all at once. The ANBU was engaging the one who had attacked the wagon. For the moment, the genin were safe. That was a relief.
The relieved feelings did not last long. Nadameru whipped her head around as another explosion sounded nearby. This was no good. There was too much going on around her, too many different chakra. She couldn't sense anything.
"You!" she snapped quickly, looking at the one she knew to be a Hyuuga. "Masato! I need you to use your byakugan and tell me the location of the enemy!"

The caravan was under attack. The battle between Aijou and the attackers raged on outside of the barrier. The rest of the Genin crew in the wagon immediately stood up, formulating battle plans and strategies; Sorien in particular seemed eager to voice his strategy. But whether the Genin knew it or not, they were being protected by a jutsu Maz had previous experience with: Genkai Makuden. And it was one of the only protections that seperated the attackers from them.
When Sorien had finished speaking, Maz piped up.
"I don't know about that man. There are too many people... it'd take some time to get everyone out of here... or I'll have to set a few things up," -- Sorien knew what he meant -- "which could take some time too."
Maz didn't notice Yaku performing his jutsu, and clenched his fists as he watched Aijou take on the attacker from behind the safety of the shield. "At present, this... forcefield... is all that's protecting us." Maz sighed, and cursed himself for not having Kage-ryu-ken on him. "If I'm to be of any use, I'm going to need a sword."

Aijou watched as his opponent got up, using a special technique to regain her composure. She seemed to flaunt her voluptuous curves at him, grinning cunningly. "I like you," she said, standing upright, lifting her hands high above her head. Kouchou Boufuu! he heard her chant.
Before he knew it, he was hit with such a great blast of wind that he nearly toppled backward. He braced himself against the strong gales, and managed to put up a weak Genkai Makuden to protect himself from any flying debris. Opening his eyes slowly, enough to see what was going on, he noticed that the enemy was nowhere in sight.
"Not good..." he said, cursing under his breath. He stayed alert, readying himself to be attacked.
Kohana watched helplessly from underneath her sheild with her fellow genin. Looking around frantically, she spotted her brother's opponent.
"AIJOU LOOK OUT!" she screamed at him.
Aijou spun around, but it was too late...

Kiyoshi heard the loud boom even without using his Risuningu. "Mokoto! We need to get out of here!" he shouted, twisting his shaggy head towards his elder brother, whom was staring at the grey corpse lying on the bed next to him.
"You must go back to Konoha! You must right the wrongs that you have committed! You must bring honor back to the Uteke!" she'd said. And Mokoto had heard every word of it. But most importantly, he'd heard her say, "Protect Kiyoshi." Mokoto had failed at plenty in his life, but that was one thing he was never going to fail at.
"If you're not leaving, then I am!" shouted Kiyoshi, and in an instant he'd ran off, jumping from tree branch to tree branch. "Kiyoshi!" shouted Mokoto, suddenly snapped out of his own personal thoughts, "Wait!"
Kiyoshi wasn't listening. He knew he'd heard explosions. People could have been hurt, and no one knew these woods better than him. They'd been his stomping grounds for the past 12 years. Just him and his grandmother. And now she...
Kiyoshi shook his head, shaking away the tears that started to form on his eyes. There was no time to think about that now. He had to get to the explosion site and see if anyone needed help. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Minutes later, Kiyoshi arrived on a tree branch near the clearing, and to his horror saw a terrible battle beginning. At one point a strange woman with a fan was causing unspeakable damage, and all by simply chanting. And then another strange, white-haired man was attacking her, and, though Kiyoshi couldn't believe it, his hand seemed to be covered in lightning! He knew that these people must be some sort of shinobi, and that they would of course have many different jutsu, but he had never before seen such terrific displays of power. It made him feel, well...small. He felt so weak and tiny. "If people as powerful as this exist...how on Earth did we ever survive?" he thought to himself, "I need to help, but what can I-"
BOOM! Before he could even finish his own thoughts, the tree he was standing on erupted in flames, and Kiyo had to quickly jump from the tree in order to survive. "That tears it," he muttered, "I may not even be in the same playing field as these guys, but there's NO WAY I'm going down without a fight!" Pulling out his wooden staff, he got into a crouched position, his hands forming together to make the appropriate sign, "Ritsuningu!"
In an instant, the whole world seemed to have inverted colors. Sounds became more distinct than images. He heard footsteps, and then strange mutterings....and next thing he knew a man fell to the ground, someone screaming out, "Aijou! LOOK OUT!" Everything seemed to be so much louder now, and yet...yet he could hear a familiar heartbeat....there was someone he knew, or at least used to know, fighting here. Slowly walking through the chaos, his eyes closed, he finally heard a voice.
"You! Masato!" someone shouted, "I need you to use your byakugan and tell me the location of the enemy!" That voice! It was different now, but he could still recognize it anywhere. "Nada-chan?" he asked aloud, his eyebrows arched. Suddenly a strong wind pushed on him, and sent him spiraling out of control, straight into Nadameru.
(OoC: Gomen nasai guys! I've been interrupted on this thing SO MANY TIMES ><. Wish I could have made my first post better but...it got the job done, no?)

Nadameru didn't have a chance to hear Masato's response--or to see Aijou's predicament--as she suddenly sensed something hurtling toward her. Whirling around, she quickly planted her feet and caught the body as it collided with her. Sliding back from the impact, the jounin took hold of the stranger's arm and flipped him over, pinning him to the ground with his arm behind him.
...wait a minute, she thought. This person's chakra amount doesn't even come close to matching the attackers ... let alone mine. Frowning, she decided not to release him just yet.
"Who are you?" she demanded.

Kiyo struggled under her grip, but looked at her over his shoulder anyways, his matted hair covering his face, which was actually smirking, his eyes gleaming. He couldn't believe he'd actually found Nada-chan after all of these years! Who would have thought. Of all the people...man, had she sure developed since Kiyo was five! And so strong! Yet she never seemed to have lost those eyes...
"Who are you?" she demanded, holding his arm behind him. Ouch, she had a new grip since he'd last seen her. Kiyo blew his wild mane off of his face, revealing his eyes and that same smile,
"Don't you remember me, Nada-Chan? It's me, Kiyoshi.Uteke Kiyoshi!" He chuckled, then winced from the pain in his arm, "Been a while, hasn't it?" He flashed her that same smile again, "How ya been?"

Uteke Kiyoshi. She knew that name, but her mind was too harried with thoughts of the surrounding chaos. Although she wanted to jump on his back for the familiar use of her name--something usually reserved for people like her father, her sensei, and her former teammate Keitaro--she knew she had more important things to worry about.
"I don't really have time for this," she quipped, releasing her hold on him. "Try to find some cover." Straightening again, she moved quickly back toward where the genin were still gathered safely inside Kohana's protective jutsu.
