......hm. What music do I listen to? I'd have to agree with Kiri for the most part - pretty much anything, though I can't stand rap/hip-hop, and most country. The REALLY old stuff, though, that you'd expect to hear like 200 years ago, I enjoy - if it's live. If it's not, then meh.
The big list of my music - basically Kiri's first two categories mushed together, and in no particular order (because I'm too lazy to sort them):
Psycho le Cemu, Malice Mizer, Gackt, L'arc ~en~ Ciel, Janne da Arc, Sowelu, Asian Kung-fu Generation, Anything from Naruto, Beck, Okage: Shadow King, FMA, Katamari Damacy, Shaman King, Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh, or Zelda, most Final Fantasy music I've heard, Orange Range, PuffyAmiYumi, Spice Girls, BSB, Eiffel 65, the Coors, Maaya Sakamoto, Nami Tamaki, most DDR and ITG music, Train, Lit, Destiny's Child, Nina Gordon, Cirque du Soleil, Jason Mraz, the Beatles, Queen, Michelle Branch, Inca Son, Evanescence, Weezer, Broardway music (mostly Phantom of the Opera, Rent, and Godspell), movie and TV soundtracks (like Center Stage, Josie and the Pussycats (lol), Lord of the Rings, Malcom in the Middle and Holes), Donna Lewis, Shaggy (only like one or two songs though.... some of his lyrics are...yeah...), Weezer, Loreena McKennett, Hoku, Chumbawumba, AFI, Seal, Stacey Orrico, Mariah Carey, some Celine Dion if it's on the radio, Gwen Stefani (radio censored versions if applicable though...heh), the Ataris, U2, East End X Yuri, O-Zone, the Pillows, MIKI, the Polysics, T.M. Revolution, X Japan, DES-Row feat. Tsuboi for Alpha, B*Witched, Okina Reika, Hikida Kaori, the Vengaboys, Happatai, Okui Masami, Megumi Hayashibara, Plus Tech Squeezebox, Weird Al, that one Shakira song, Bjork, the Britney Spears Pepsi song, Bon Bon Blanco, Home Made Kazoku, SOUL'd OUT, the Irish Rovers, Big Daddy Weave, the Chris White Band, Shane & Shane, Providence, Frank Sinatra, Erin Boone, the Yoshida Brothers, and more. But I can't think of those at the moment. I'll post back if I think of any more. Teeheehee... *high-fives Kiri* Yay for broad tastes in music!*
I also like celtic-ey stuff, dance-like techno, classical music remixed with a techno beat, Jazz (NOT smooth Jazz - I'm talking the real stuff here), pretty techno, and stuff that has a good beat (I listen to that new Destiny's Child song just to listen to the snare drums).
You should see the looks I get when I try to answer my classmates' "what music do you like?" questions. It usually goes something like this:
Classmate: "What kind of music do you listen to?"
Me: "I like pretty much anything; it depends on the song itself, really."
Classmate: "But what kind of music do you listen to?"
Me: <Didn't I just answer that question? (~____~)''''> "Well, let's see.... I like mostly foreign music, like Japanese stuff, oh yeah, and video game/anime music... I also listen to rock and techno, you know, stuff like that.... well, pretty much a bit of everything. Like I said, it depends on the song itself more than anything."
Classmate: *priceless weird look* "Uhh...okay...." *turns away to talk to someone else*
Me: <I tried to tell you in the first place, but well....you asked for it. X3>
Haha. Though it is annoying, really, when they keep pestering me to name one specific genre.
