Oh...my...god. You people are far to scary. You actually LOOK to see what music you like. And spent really long doing so. Cripes. And yes. You DO draw me into places like this ^_^

Wow...seriously, wish I had that much time to really get down and serious to list out my music types. ^^ But anyway, interesting stuff...interesting... Country music. It never really bothere me so much before...but who knew one could turn from indifferent to loving something in a matter of seconds? True, I'm still new to the whole 'Music of Country' world, but I just sort of fell into it. I guess one shouldn't walk into Barnes and Nobles when one is having an emotional breakdown and their playing Baby Girl over the store. Heh heh...^^' Anyway, Sugarland is very sweet, I know it's usually 'you either hate it or you love it' when it comes to country, but I guess now you can place me under loving it.

I only wish I could offer some kind of opinion on what you're talking about... but country music is something I avoid, at best. If a friend recommends something then I'll go ahead and listen to it, like Martina McBride. Someone told me about one of her songs once and I remember liking it. I also don't mind Lonestar... much... sorta....
That's about it, though.

Well, just so long as you still got the open mind, and understand that other people have different tastes. Cos so many people, you say what type of music you like, and they mock like hell. Its annoying. Closed minded people.

Yeah. I try to be open minded... but it's hard with hip hop/R&B... but I manage.
CHECK THE SIG. Yo. Fo Sheezy.

Yup, Martina McBride sings 'This one's for the girl's' other than that, I don't know what she sings, lol. But that song I am totally in love with. It's sort of odd though, because to all my friends but one, I like the type of music I LOOK like I'm supposed to like. Mostly orchestra ( you know, the 'bloody vultures eating corpses' music) but when I'm by myself, all I can listen to is 'soft' music...Jewel, country, etc. >.< Guess I'm weird that way.

One time when we were in KGTC's car driving down the beach we blasted Orochimaru's theme with the windows down. THAT was fun. X3

Hehehe. Sounds like when Smeagie (I think you know of her...on Deviant art K-sama), whenever shes in my car. She ALWAYS requests Odeka de chocobo. Thats...odd. High pitched bouncy music in a town of bogans. The looks you get. *cowers* XD. It is kinda funny though

I've been teaching myself to play both Orochimaru's Theme and Odeka de Chocobo on the piano... it was sort of my summer project. I dunno, though. Snakeboy's theme just isn't the same without the AWESOME ORGAN. ;D I really like classical... it's just about the only thing I can stand that's on the radio. They don't even play good rock, nine times out of ten. Lamers. I hate the radio, can you tell?

. Thats just odd. But cool...I meant odd as in the fact, you learnt the two songs me and Kaori named. I used to play the piano...well got taught anyway...I never really got into it. I don't think I will. I don't have a big enough drive for music to do that.

Yeah. I took formal piano lessons for 10 years. It's never really been my "passion" so to speak, but it's something I really enjoy. What I don't enjoy is having to go to competitions. I had a really bad experience one year at state piano competition, where the judge was a huge jerk and told me to stop in the MIDDLE of my piece because he "wasn't ready" for me to play yet. I was so mortified, that when he finally let me start again I botched the song completely.
I'm pretty sure I quit after that.
But, yeah. My parents were hoping I'd become a concert pianist....
...now they're stuck with a comic artist.

I'm not sure what my mom wanted me to be, but it wasn't what she ended up with: a crazy otaku artist/writer/cosplayer who's actually attempting to teach herself another language.
I dunno about you, but if my daughter (if I had one lol) started trying to learn to sew and teach herself a foreign language that ISN'T Spanish or French (because those two are pretty much all you learn in school down here), I'd be jumping for joy. But maybe that's because I appreciate them more than my mom does. XP
Anyways. BoT.
There's a pretty decent radio station down here that plays contemporary stuff and occasionally the better hits from the 90s. So that's cool. They took our VERY BEST RADIO STATION and turned it into some crappy Rap and R&B station. Nothing against the people who listen to that kind of music, but the new station doesn't even play the better pieces of the genre. *sigh* The best radio we get down here is from 11 PM til 5 AM on the classical music station, when they play the really good jazz music - and we're not talking that "smooth jazz" stuff (which I can't stand), this is the kind of stuff they used to play decades ago. It's really cool. X3 The only problem is if I try to listen to it as I go to sleep - they play the news every hour on the hour, so I'm constantly being reminded what time it is.

K-sama, I feel your pain. Our beloved Y100 was taken away and turned into a rap station. When asked "Why? Why do such a cruel thing to all us fans?" the evil execs replied (paraphrased)"Because not enough people filled out the feedback form on our corporate website saying you liked the station." Gaah! As far as music goes, I like listening to anything, except pop and radio rap. I looove the upbeat, feel good kind of country music. (Anyone ever heard of "The Watermelon Crawl"?) I only dislike radio rap because they play the same 10 songs on all three rap stations that we get. My main listening though, is rock, whether classic or death metal, American, French, or Japanese, I listen to it all. Soo...yah, back to reading old IF posts. ;D

I'm trying to teach myself Japanese, but I get distracted a lot. I'd like to learn Latin... just because it's a dead language. Good reason, yeah? Back to music.... Something that hasn't been mentioned yet... musicals. Hello. XD Any musical fans around here (apart from you, K-Chan ;D)? I myself am a junkie. Some that I'm a fan of would be "Newsies," "Into the Woods," "Phantom of the Opera," "Annie Get Your Gun," "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers," "My Fair Lady," and... last but (definitely) not least... RENT!!! ;D I'm obsessed. I've always wanted to see Les Miz... but I've never been able to.

I've never met a musical I didn't like. ;D I haven't had the opportunity to see many, but one of my favorites is the one that my school did this past year, which i stage crewed and Assistant Directored for... It's called Anything Goes. It's about a cruise ship between New York and London, it's set in like the 20s or 30s, and there's great great music by Cole Porter.
Good choice with Phantom, I love it!!! Who could forget Music of the Night and the female lead singing the Phantom solo. ;D Call me a geek, but I love musicals too! Rock on, Kiri-san!
