The large, empty meeting room was dark when Tensei Kaori entered. It was fairly early - past sunrise, but not many had stirred as of yet - and she definitely had to be the first here. She flicked on the lights and set her folder on a table. There would be no need for chairs.
She said nothing as those she had summoned entered - unusual in and of itself - and rather than just her normal red outfit, she had donned her own version of the traditional Hokage's garb - another abnormality. She calmly looked over her papers as those who were gathering spoke in hushed voices amongst themselves. There was too much here.... too much information - and yet, not nearly enough - too much happening, too much to do....and not enough time. Time. That was what they needed now. Every now and then she glanced up at the clock on the wall. How long could she wait for everyone to gather?

*moves thread here... and mods it again*
Shagetsu Yasashiku donned a stern look. It was what appeared to be a look of proudness and a forlorn regret. he weighed his head-protecter in both his hands carefully, what it signified wwas a heavy choice, but it was a part of who he was now, no point in being shameful. He placed the leaf emblem on his head and wore with heavy dignity. Mine was at school, for the next little while she'd be under the care of a neighbor, and Jin was already off to meet his team... It would only be a few more minutes untill he too would leave the house. - to see the Hokage, of course. Finaly, he thought, Its time to go...

Tokoharu Akina paced nervously around in circles in the Hokage's office. Today Kaori-sama would be notifying those she had selected to attend the diplomatic visit to the Hidden Sand. More importantly, today she would announce it to the village. How would they take it? Surely the younger attendees would be overjoyed at leaving the village and visiting ninja from another country, but what about the more experienced? What would they think?
The ninja of the Leaf would leave tomorrow to visit the Sand to pay thanks for the Sand's aid in the war, and to foster a further friendship and understanding between the two villages.
Or so everyone thought.
No more than four or five people knew what was really happening, the real reason this visit was happening so soon. Akina sighed. There was so much that was unknown as of yet. She looked up at the clock on the wall.
It should be starting soon....

SATON!~
The cry was heard from a corner of the Hokage's Meeting Room. A shapeless pillar of sand burst up and took the form of a human figure. Yasashiku's feature's became distinct as the sand solidified into his body.
"Shagetsu Yasashiku, repoting for duty, Hokage-sama." The curt and elegant stance of the ex-Sand Ninja stood before the table. He waited patiently; it wasn't going to be too long before everyone would be gathered. He tilted his head to show the Hokage his respect and then resumed his stance. From the folds of the extensions of his lower sleeves, was the bottom half of a broken staff. If he was returning to The Hidden Village of the Sand, then it would only be appropriete to bring this old defective weapon along. It had... somewhat of a bit of sentimental value for someone he knew.

Iro hurried down the empty streets of Konoha at morning. He had just gotten an urgent letter telling him to report to meet the Hokage immediately. He knew it must be important, although he still had no idea what it was all about.
He soon arrived at the Kage building, and as soon as he entered he was directed to where he was supposed to go.
Iro took a deep breath, and entered the room...

Kohana lifted her head from between her pillows and stared at the clock... Time to get up... She kicked her legs, throwing the linens off the end of the bed. She sat up and streched, touching her toes, before getting up off the bed and getting dressed. After getting ready, Kohana headed into the kitchen for a quick breakfast. She wasn't too hungry, so the leftover shrimp tempura from dinner the night before was enough. As she stood at the counter and ate her breakfast, her mother entered into the kitchen in her night clothes.
"Good morning!" she said with a yawn. "Getting ready to go?"
Kohana looked over her shoulder and nodded. "Mmm-hmm!"
"Well, make sure you say goodbye to your father before you leave..." her mother added.
"I will!" Kohana answered with a smile, her mouth full of shrimp. Her mother gave her a big hug and a quick kiss on the forehead before leaving the kitchen and heading for the living room.
After finishing, Kohana put the bowl in the sink and put her sandals on, and as she promised her mother, went to say goodbye to her father. She then went to the front door, and left, shutting the door quietly behind her, and began to make her way towards the Ninja Administration Building.

"I have business to take care of, Dad."
"Of course you do. I'll see you later."
"Sure thing."
Mazrakiel opened the door and left the Adarakis house in the "normal" way: he had been doing this quite frequently lately, although perhaps his desire to control himself had something to do with it. Slowly, he set off down the footpath.
It was a beautiful morning; at least, by what most people would call beautiful. Maz wasn't too much a morning fan - he preferred the darkness, for obvious reasons.
This morning, he had been given instructions to attend a secret meeting, with no indication of who else was attending. (or really, he had been given the instructions in a letter before. He didn't read the letter until the morning came around.)
His route to the Ninja Administration Building led him past the Yanagawa house. Kohana Yanagawa was a member of Maz's team, the cheery one of the group. (Maz had been seen as the grumpy one of the group) As he walked past, he wondered if he might see her or any of her family...
His question was answered as he walked past the gate - slightly off in the distance ahead of him was Kohana.
Great. Well, I know I've got things to do, but, I suppose I'd better say hello... wouldn't be much of a team-mate if I didn't...
"Hey! Kohana!" He waved out to the figure ahead, and quickened his pace to catch up to her.

"Hey! Kohana!" a voice called out.
Kohana stopped and turned around to see Maz hurrying towards her. She smiled and replied with a wave, "Hey there, Maz! How's it goin'?"

He finally caught up to her.
"It's going good, really, I guess. What're you up to?"

"It's going good, really, I guess. What're you up to?" he answered her. She bit her bottom lip before responding to the question. "Just walkin' somewhere... Can't exactly say where, though..." She paused. "What about you?"

"Oh, not much really..." The letter had said the meeting was a secret, so he decided not to tell Kohana where he was going.
"I... uhh... yeah. I'm just... doing stuff."
It felt a little awkward, but he couldn't say a word about where he was going. After walking for a little bit, the two managed to find conversation, and talked until they reached the Ninja Administration Building. It was at the moment Maz grabbed the door handle that they both realised they had something more in common - their destination.
"Hey... are you... here for...?" Maz began to ask, but he didn't want to give too much away, just in case she wasn't...

The two chatted for awhile as they walked until they came to the Ninja Administration Building. "Hey... are you... here for...?" he asked hesitantly as he reached for the door handle.
Kohana looked at him, a bit perplexed, but then it clicked. Were they there for the same thing?
"Am I here for what, Maz?" she asked.

"Uh, nothing... nothing."
Saying this, of course, would've meant she suspected something... but better to have her suspect something than to know something she might not be allowed to know. What if he was wrong? What if she wasn't supposed to know about the meeting?
He opened the door, and motioned for her to enter before him: ladies first.
"After you."

"Uh, nothing... nothing." Maz replied.
Kohana looked away. It seemed a bit ironic that they both shared the same destination, but couldn't tell each other what they were there for.
Maz opened the door and motioned for her to enter first. "After you."
Kohana smiled. "Thank you!" she chimed as she skipped through the door.

He followed on after her, and made his way towards the basement. The meeting place.
But as he reached the stairway leading down, Kohana was walking with him. He decided she must be in on the meeting as well.
"Are.. you coming to this meeting too?" he began to ask as he descended the stairs.
