Sorien slipped his finger over the scroll, and skimmed the contents. “You are to be assigned into a new team, however at this time, you will not be assigned a Jounin. This will happen in the near future. Please meet with the other genin of your team, at the ninja memorial, at 8am this Monday morning.”
“A new team. Finally, I’ve been waiting for this for quite some time. Ever since…no…that was in the past. Its time to put that behind me. This is a new team a new start.” Sorien thought to himself.
The day passed Sorien quickly, and the day was upon him before he knew it. Sorien woke up early, his bright and usual self. He picked up his standard pack of things, slid it onto his shoulder and took off. Sorien started at a walk, but his eagerness got the better of him. Soon he was darting through the streets of Konoha. He leapt onto the roofs and sped along. The ground below blurred as he cranked up the pace to full speed.
Sorien arrived at the memorial. He looked around to see if anyone was there. “Hmmm” He thought out loud. He looked at the sun, and its position in the sky…makes it…lets see…7.45am…I’ve got a bit of waiting to do yet. He flung his pack off, and darted over to his usual training place.
He started to warm the fires within him, standing still, his body temperature began to rise quickly, made easier by the warm up running before hand. He began to glow ever so lightly, and he started punching the air. Left, right, left, right. He punched one after the other, in a rhythmic timing. He then leapt in the air, flipped over backward, and grabbed his right wrist, with his left hand, and fired a small ball of conjured fire from his hand. He continued his training, until Sorien believed 15 minutes had roughly past by. He breathed a few times, deeply and controlled. The glowing around his body began to cease. Sorien then casually walked over to the nearby stream, and took a sip, before strolling back over to the memorial. He found no-one there, but decided to sit down anyway. He folded his legs, and crossed his arms, and sat. He closed his eyes and listened. He panned around with his ears. “The stream. The birds” He honed his hearing so that he could hear anything in the nearby area.

Masato puzzled over the scroll he had just received. It read, "You are to be assigned into a new team, however at this time, you will not be assigned a Jounin. This will happen in the near future. Please meet with the other genin of your team, at the ninja memorial, at 8am this Monday morning.” A genin team? He had just been promoted the day before! At least the meeting was somewhere relatively private. He shrugged and continued on into his flat's tiny bathroom, showered and crashed on his bed within 5 minutes.
Monday morning seemed to take forever to come. Masato awoke, dressed quickly, leaving behind his coat in favor of a lightweight vest with many pockets, due to the weather outside. He decided to put in his colored contacts to conceal his telltale purple eyes. He hated concealing his heritage, but since being excoriated from the clan, he had purchased a large number of the contacts, which allowed people to make first impressions of him without going, "Ooh! Byakugan! Hyuuga!" His ruminations complete, he picked up his two most prized possessions, his paired ninja-to, in their artfully carved sheaths, one inlaid with gold, the other with silver. Strapping across the small of his back, he thought about the man who had given them to him, immediately after the announcement of his expulsion from his family. Realizing that he had little time for thought, and had to get moving to make it to the monument on time, he quickly strapped his shuriken and kunai holster in their places. His preparations complete, he set off towards the monument, taking the long route around at a quick run, figuring on getting a little exercise out of the trip.
About fifteen minutes later, he was approaching the monument when he saw a series of small balls of flame launch into the air. Now curious, and a bit wary, he decided to forget peoples first impressions, popped out his contacts, and activated his Byakugan, to better observe the top of the monument. Not being able to see from this distance, he approached closer. When he approached withing 100 yards, he drew his swords, and grimaced when they made a metallic shing sound as they cleared their sheaths. He would have to replace the cork he used to muffle that sound when he got home. He continued onward, and once he reached the monument, he saw only a rather short ninja wearing a forehead protector, who looked to be in his late teens. Masato hailed him, saying "Ohayo gozaimasu. Are you here for the new genin team that's forming?"

"The stream, the birds...Ohaya gozaimasu?" Soriens train of thought was interrupted. He shook his head, and opened his eyes, and letting them re-adjust to the light of the sun. "Are you here for the new genin team that's forming?". Soriens eyes had just finished adjusting, he turned around to face the voice. "Hai!" he replied in a very eager tone. "You're the second one here, only one more to go now."
Sorien got to his feet, and wandered over to him. He put out his hand. "The name's Sorien. Good to meet ya" He said with a grin. He looked up into a very pale purple pair of eyes. "Woah...hes from...AWESOME!" Sorien thought to himself, seeing the tell-tale signs of an Hyuuga. His eyes widened and a big grin spread across his face.

"The name's Sorien. Good to meet ya" "My name's Masato... technically Hyuuga Masato, but I really don't use that name anymore. I'll just tell you now, I got kicked outta the clan because I was useless with their fighting style, so... yeah."

This almost put a dampener on Soriens mood, but he decided to not let it get in the way. "Well" he said, "You're a genin now, that doesn't matter. I judge people on who they are, not their clan, race or otherwise" Sorien noticed how dull that sounded. "Heh...I sound like a teacher huh?" He added. "Anyways. How long have you been a genin for Masato?"

"Heh...I sound like a teacher huh? Anyways. How long have you been a genin for Masato?" Masato grinned somewhat uncomfortably and said, "Four days. I just got promoted after the attack... I was almost done, and the fact that I used my Byakugan as a scout to help the escort teams get the students and civvies to safety helped a bit too, i guess. How about you? You been a Genin long?" Suddenly realizing he was still holding his swords, he grinned uncomfortably again, flipped them so his grip was reversed and slid them into their sheaths.

Sorien watched Masato sheath his sword before grinning and saying "You always greet your team-mates with a sword?" He laughed at this as to not make it sound like a serious comment. "Yeah I've been a genin for quite some time, went on missions with a different team. Something happened...and...we disbanded...Anyway. So yes. I have been a genin for a while, I do like being a ninja. Its great, but I'm looking for a higher position, getting into some more exciting jobs. I've heard of the Chuunin exam coming up in the future. Haven't a clue when, but I'm holding out for it." He concured

Masato nodded. "Yeah Chuunin rank would be good. I heard from my uncle that Genin missions are kind of lame, but you know, we're shinobi! That's enough for me. Anyhow, as you can see by the rather sharp fashion accessories I'm wearing, I'm a taijutsu specialist. I do sword stuff with my byakugan. Might I hazard a guess that you're a flame user considering what I saw on my way here?"

"Mmm a lot of the people I know of only use the rank as that. A title. However I'd really look forward to the missions of a higher grade like that." Replied Sorien. Masato spoke again. "Haha, yes. Fashion accessory indeed." Sorien laughed at his choice of words. Listening on Sorien absorbed more of what Masato had to say. "Kenjutsu user eh. Yeah, I wouldn't mind that, getting more powerful with a blade, but for now, as you noticed, my affiliation with fire is obvious, however, when in training, I do my best to preserve things around me you see. When people think of fire, they often think of forest fire, not a good thing. so I do my best to restrain my powers." Sorien paused for more thought. "I didn't even know you were there...I take it you had Byakugan activated then?" Sorien shot a look at the sun "Hmm...its getting a little later. Well...I can only wait" Sorien thought to himself approximating the time.

"I didn't even know you were there...I take it you had Byakugan activated then?" Masato nodded. "Yep... i'm not THAT sneaky. Anyhow, looks like we wait." Masato pulled out his swords, stepped to the side, and began doing katas to practice his form.

"Yep... I'm not THAT sneaky. Anyhow, looks like we wait." Sorien heard Masato say. "We do wait indeed. I'm sure our last member has a very good reason though." Sorien added honestly. "You seem as anxious to do some missions as I do, not just any missions, but combat ones right?" He asked. "Hmm...I wonder what he'd be like to train with" Sorien thought to himself.
(OoC: I'll talk to you about this later Tennoken, alright, I want to pass an idea by you)

"You seem as anxious to do some missions as I do, not just any missions, but combat ones right?" Masato grinned eagerly. "Yes, definitely! Of course, I realise that we have to start somewhere small, as we're just Genin, but I we get to DO something soon... But we'll probably have to wait until the Chuunin exam." Masato made on final attack in the kata he was doing, spun, sheathed his swords, and turned to Sorien. "So, how about it? While we're waiting, do you want to train a little bit? And before you ask, no I'm not a mind reader. I could just see you looking a little fidgety." He smiled widely, and reached in his back. Pulling out two wooden objects from his back, he slipped them over the blades of his swords. "See, I came prepared."

"Yaku!!! I said get up NOW, don't you make me come and get you!" the continual yelling of Tsume, Yaku's older sister, hadn't rested once in the last half hour, though it seemed to be having no effect on her younger brother, for the young Inuzuka simply mumbled a small noise and only dug his face deeper into the belly of Hiromi. The small dog didn't twitch once. Yaku was actually quite awake, but was struggling in vain to hopefully return to that wonderful world that was sleep and block out his older sister's voice.
It didn't seem however, that luck was on his side that morning, for it wasn't long until the angry stomping of feet against wood echoed down the hall, into Yaku's room, and Tsume appeared in his doorway, looking quite the picture of peeved. "You sleep-hog." she snapped as she scowled at her brother. She had been up since the crack of dawn with her mother, the two women out training with their dogs, something they had both been trying to, now practically to the point of forcing, Yaku to take a part in as well. Though it seemed the boy had a bad habit of staying out extremely late, playing with Hiromi intead of training as the rest of his family would have preferred, and ended up exhausting himself the next morning.
Once again, Tsume scowled, "You are so irresponsible." she said with a roll of her eyes, but then she pulled something out from behind her back. It was a scroll. "You didn't even notice that this had been sent to you." she said as she all but threw the scroll, with the directions to meet his new teammates, at him.
Yaku seemed to have bad timing that morning, for just as he lifted his head to retort to his sister, the scroll smacked him squarely in the face. "Ow." he muttered, snatching the scroll and sitting upright as he opened it to read over it contents. The young Inuzuka's eyes immedietly snapped open and he all but flew out of his bed, reaching for his nearest clean pair of clothes, "Tsume," he growled as he attempted to put his shirt on with his teeth for his hands were a bit full with his pants, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? Wake up Hiromi..." he nudged the small dog gently with his foot, and soon the canine was awake and alert.
Tsume could only sigh as she placed her hands on her hips, "I DID tell you." she muttered with a small sigh, "Honestly Yaku, you've been way too distracted lately. You need to start taking things more seriously. You're not a kid anymore, you can't just go off and play, ignoring the rest of us. You're a genin now, remember? You DO have responsibilities."
"I know." Yaku snapped, avoiding his sister's eyes as he finished getting dressed and bent over to pick up Hiromi. He had been just about to tell her something else, but quickly closed his mouth, shaking it off silently. "I'll see you later. Bye!" He said hurriedly, almost tensely. Placing Hiromi atop his head, he was soon sprinting out of the house, heading toward the ninja memorial. Though of course, not without taking the long way to take have a bit of play time through the tall surrounding trees.
It wsn't long until Yaku approached the other two genins. Well actually, he smelled them both before the two were even in sight, and he paused for a moment to inspect their scents a little bit further, keeping himself high within the tall branches of the trees. He was actually sort of hoping to do a bit of...research, if that's what one would call Yaku's slightly off habits.

Masato slipped two sheaths over his blades, and held them out in front of him. "Alrighty then. Lets get this show on the road". No sooner had Sorien said this, he began to glow. Warming himself up the quickest way possible, he circulated the hot chakra within his body and warmed up the muscles, as he had pracitised to do in training, although he increased the speed this time, making the warm up almost instantaneous.
He did a double back-flip and powered up two Caldor astrali within each hand. When he landed, he fired both of them off toward Masato, one aimed at his body and one where he predicted Masato would run to. As the fireballs were in the air, Sorien quickly glanced at his opponent. "Byakugen!" He cursed in his mind. "I forgot...thats going to make things interesting. He looks as if he has a high speed body to keep up too...this will be a challenge indeed."

"And then there were three..."
He watched as the two teens near the memorial began to spar. One, an agile boy who seemed much older than the average Genin, had back flipped away from his opponent; two glowing fireballs thrown from his palms.
The other, fairer and younger looking, but not much shorter, stood with an even greater grace; his body poised and elongated. By his posture, probably highly skilled in taijutsu.
He gave a bit of a smirk as he looked to his side. (Decently) hidden among the trees sat a young man with messy brown hair, a dog nearby. He seemed to be observing the two kids as they fought, assesing their strength.
His saw the boy's nose twitch. Sniffing? Smelling? He mused. Glad I didn't wear aftershave...Nada mentioned she didn't like it...said I smelled like a fish wrapped in antiseptic. He chuckled.
He continued to watch, taking in all of their actions.
He pulled out a clipboard. It's pages dossiers, three photos accompanying them.
"Inuzuka Yaku, Sorien of...Sorien, and..." he flipped the page, "Hyuuga Masato. Looks like these are them."
He chuckled.
"Kepp going at it...I'll be down when it's right..." he said silently.
“You are to be assigned into a new team, however at this time, you will not be assigned a Jounin. This will happen in the near future. Please meet with the other genin of your team, at the ninja memorial, at 8am this Monday morning.”
The scrolls they had recieved.
The scrolls he had written.
"They'll do..." he said, "Kaori-sama better be right about them though..."
