Ayaka sighed up at the ceiling of the tent, feeling decidedly unmotivated to get up. She'd been awake for a while, and had heard plenty of other people getting up and going about their business, but she had been more than happy to just lie there on her cot. A lot of people were talking about the things the new Hokage was doing - how any one person could do that much in just a few days since taking power was beyond Ayaka - and that had provided plenty of entertainment, at least until they all left the tent and she couldn't eavesdrop on them anymore. But she supposed she couldn't sleep forever, so at last she sat up and looked around the cot. Seeing a familiar face across the aisle meant, of course, that she would give the customary greeting that was often the first thing she said at the start of the day: "Mfff. G'morning, Tsutomegi."

"Good." Huff"Morning." Puff"Ayaka-san!" Letting go of one of the tent's support beams, Utsuro dropped back down to his feet after finishing that particular chin-up. Dusting his hands off on his pants, one of his seemingly-token button-down shirts was quickly pulled over the simple white shirt he had been wearing. He was by no means rippling with muscle, but the young man certainly did not look like he had lost as many fights as he had. "Did you sleep well?"

"Well enough," Ayaka replied simply, giving a shrug as she leaned over the edge of the cot to fish a hairbrush out of her belongings, which was immediately put to good use. "No weird dreams or anything this time. "Aren't you scared the tent's gonna fall if you do that?" she asked curiously, referring to the exercise she had quickly learned was part of Tsutomegi's morning routine.

He seemed to ponder this a moment, looking over the support structure of the tent. "No...not really. The structure is quite sound. Between that and the grade of canvas used for the covering, it is clearly designed for stability, not appearance or luxury." Finishing buttoning his shirt, he sat down on the edge of his cot across from his friend. "Do...you have any plans today, Ayaka-san? Everyone seems so busy as of late.."

Ayaka nodded. "They really do," she sighed. "It's a little too crazy out there for someone like me, so maybe I'll just stay inside. I really need to go to... no, not yet. Not with all that going on out there. I'll end up getting hit in the head with a piece of wood or run into or falling asleep in a blast zone or something crazy like--" "GOOOOOOD morning!" came a familiar voice from right outside the tent, interrupting Ayaka's lament. No sooner had the words been said than yet another familiar face appeared in the form of Takeo-kun striding quite energetically - and rather dramatically - into the tent. He looked the same as always, except for some sort of canvas bag slung from his shoulder. "Ah! Good!" he continued happily after looking around for a second. "I was hoping you'd both be here. I've got a special delivery for you two! From the Hokage's office, no less."

"Ah...good morning, Takeo-sama...a delivery from the Hokage's office?" He began to wonder, at first, if the Hokage had miraculously found time to meet with him as they had discussed after the...incident...but...he said 'you two'...that implied Ayaka-san as well...Just what sort of delivery was it? "I am sorry they are still making you do such low-grade work, Takeo-sama..But thank you."

..... low-grade... And just when the higherups had managed to convince him he was actually being useful, running all these messengers around. "Ah... heheheh.... it's no big deal," he said out loud with a nervous grin, trying to mask the blow. "It's not actually one thing for the both of you; you each have your own. Actually, yours, Tsutomegi, is the only one I had to deliver in person, but I knew you'd be wanting one, too, Aya-chan, so..." he dug into the bag and pulled out two document-sized envelopes, both tied shut. "Here ya go!" One - unlabeled but with space for the owner to write their name and so on - was handed to Aya-chan, while the other - specifically addressed to its recipient - went to Tsutomegi. "You guys are supposed to fill out the things inside," he explained once he'd given the envelopes to their respective owners. "It's for residency and stuff. Aya-chan, you bring yours to the ninjas at the admin tent when you're done and they'll make sure it gets to the office with the others. Tsutomegi, yours has special instructions or something on the inside, so look for that to know what to do. Any questions?" Tensei Kaori had a very important meeting going on, and despite the fact that all of her attention should have been on the three very important individuals in front of her, she couldn't help but wonder how soon Akina would announce Tsutomegi-kun's arrival. His packet had been the same with the others - instructions on applying for residency and Academy eligibility, with forms asking for details on family, medical history, and so on - but on the very top of the stack she had slipped a note, written in her own elegant hand: Tsutomegi-kun:
In this envelope you will find everything you need to make you residency in Konoha official, should I grant it. Fill out everything accordingly, but instead of handing it in where the others have been instructed to, bring it with you when you come speak with me.
I will be able to see you in my office during normal working hours today or tomorrow. I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

Utsuro had wasted no time in removing the papers from the envelope, and blinked as he read the handwritten note atop the stack. Today or tomorrow...Why wait? Got a pen?The Hokage had made time to speak with him, just as she said she would. And surprisingly fast! He could speak with her today, if he finished the paperwork...but he'd have to get cleaned up first... "Th-thank you, Takeo-sama!" He replied in an excitable (for him) tone, bowing swiftly. "Um...does..anyone have a pen?" It had been an interesting morning thus far, to say the least. He had only intended upon asking the Hokage a brief question, but in order to do that, he had to inquire about her schedule for the day. She had time set aside to meet with that strange Tsutomegi boy. Today AND tomorrow. For the Hokage, during such an incredibly busy time, to set aside such a comparatively large timeframe for a boy...Then again.. He had checked the refugee tent information. This...Tsutomegi claimed to be from a Shinobi village that, to his knowledge at least, did not exist. He felt it pertinent that she be informed of the little bit of information he had on the young man before their meeting. And so, Hitsuatsu Ryuurei leaned back against a wall outside of the Hokage's office, sketching to pass the time.....and avoid the stern gaze of one Akina-san. Whoever Tensei Kaori was meeting with at the moment, there was no interrupting them, it seemed.

"Ahh... no problem, no problem!" Takeo-kun said, looking a little embarrassed. He probably hadn't expected a reaction like that from an envelope. "I've gotta get back now, but I'll see you guys around, eh?" And he was gone, before Ayaka even had a chance to reply to them. Ayaka blinked, dug through her bag, and began pulling pen after pen out of random pockets, nooks, and crannies. "Uh... here," she offered. "Try one of these. I'm... not sure which of them work, though." "It shouldn't be long," Akina explained in a crisp, businesslike tone to the unexpected visitor who was now waiting with her in the hallway. She had actually been working in a small room nearby, but it was almost time for her to check in, and with this particular topic coming up, Akina knew that Kaori-sensei would want to speak to Hisuatsu-san right away. "They started a while ago, so they should be wrapping up any time now. It's almost time for me to check in on her, so I'll have a better answer for you then."

"Ah! Thank you, Ayaka-san!" Almost speaking in the tone of a normal human being, Utsuro graciously accepted a small allotment of the pens and immediately sat down on his cot, testing them on the envelope until he found one that worked. The quicker he could finish this paperwork, the quicker he could go get cleaned up, and then he could go speak with the Hokage. And then everything would be ok... ..or..would it? What if she denied his request? It was not like he was particularly important or- Oi. Paperwork. Either you do it or I will. Hope they can read through the charring... "Ah...let's see..Name....age...." Tsutomegi Utsuro, age 14, may have been an incredibly clumsy and unlucky boy, but he had spectacular penmanship. "Birth..date...........um...." He would have to skip that one for now. Family...well...that was depressingly easy. Deceased, passed on, expired, and dead... Utsuro sighed. It appeared he would have to speak with the Hokage about some of these papers. Some of these blanks were...not easy to fill in. "Thank you, Akina-san." He replied simply. "Sorry to have pulled you away from your work, even if you were to check on her soon regardless." Offering her a genuine smile, he continued the idle sketchwork to pass the time. Admittedly, he was curious to see who the meeting was being conducting with. It was not often Ryuurei could not get information when he desired it.

"No problem," Ayaka replied softly, studying her own envelope before untying it and reaching inside. She wasn't prepared for the amount of papers it contained, though, and as a result most of them slipped out and cascaded all across her cot and onto a floor. "... oops." With a sigh, she got up and began recovering the scattered pages. Hopefully she'd be able to figure out which order they had been in. A few moments passed in silence before Akina glanced at a clock on the wall and decided it had been long enough. She knocked, was bidden to enter, and slipped inside. After delivering her message - both to her lifelong mentor and her three guests who were still present - and receiving a reply, she poked her head out of the door. "The Hokage will see you now," she informed Hisuatsu-san, opening the door a little wider. "You may come in."

Looking up from his own work, Utsuro could see that Ayaka had accidentally dropped her papers, and was trying to reorganize them. Shifting up from his cot with his own still-organized stack, he moved over to her and began helping in picking the papers up, and then placing them back in order. "There we go.." While her guests were still present? Perhaps they had something to do with the matter as well...Regardless, Ryuurei closed the sketchpad and placed it back in his bag. Adjusting his glasses and clothes slightly, he strode calmly, but purposefully into the office, with a gracious nod to Akina-san in the process. "Hokage-dono, thank you for seeing me." He began with a bow. Noting the...rather noteworthy nature of her 'guests', he extended the bow in their direction as well. "Honored Tensei. I do apologize if my presence hastened your meeting any.."

"Ahh... thanks," Ayaka said with a nervous laugh. "Jeeze... they really want a lot of stuff, don't they?" She picked up a bunch of pens, found one that worked, and began poring over the papers, "Jeeze... how am I supposed to answer some of this stuff?" "I wouldn't say that," Shirayuki replied before Kaori had a chance to. Had the woman not been blind Kaori would have shot her an annoyed look; as it was, she directed her ire at the interruption to Kurogashi, who signed the appropriate message into his sister's palm. "Yes, yes, of course," came the ever-on-the-edge-of-patient reply. "My apologies, Hokage. If you don't mind, I think the three of us would prefer to wait outside for now. We won't be far."Kaori nodded, signaled for them to take their leave, and the three exited - for the moment - with the door shutting behind them. Akina was already back at her desk, tending to paperwork as usual. "Well, then." Kaori indicated a nearby chair before folding her hands neatly on the desktop. "Please have a seat, Hisuatsu-san. I understand you have something you wish to tell me regarding a certain Tsutomegi-kun?"

Burying his face in his shoulder, Utsuro sneezed. "Ah..gomen..we must have kicked up some dust or something.." "It...is a rather daunting stack of parchment, is it not? Though I cannot say I blame them..In their position, they should be as thorough as possible when admitting people into the village. I would imagine you should just...answer as appropriately as possible. If they need to speak with you about something regarding it, I am certain they will approach you.." Sitting back down as well, he continued his own paperwork, what he could truthfully finish of it. Once that was finished, he could collect his meager toiletries and go wash up. He might be a refugee, but there was no point in looking...and smelling...like the epitome of one if it could be avoided. He had heard the stories of this trio, they really were the stuff of legends, but to be in the same room as them, it was..curious. Thankfully, it was short lived, as the clearly-blind woman excused them from the room. To speak over the Hokage, however new, in her own office, and the presence the three bore...That took a certain special something, to say the least. Seating himself in the indicated chair, the Jounin nodded. "Yes, ma'am. I had the...unique experience of meeting the boy several days ago, when he was....well, I can only really describe it as 'rescuing' his friend from a tree." "As I understand it, Tsutomegi-kun is a refugee from another village. One I have never heard of, at that. It does not seem to be recorded anywhere other than in myth. In what little information I was able to gather, he seems a very introverted, clumsy, and socially inept young man... "Yet, in that moment, he could have passed for a Genin who'd graduated with the highest marks. On foot, he apparently beat a beetle-mounted Kyousei to the scene, and had I blinked, I would have missed his ascent up the tree." Pausing to ensure the first volley of information had been absorbed, he continued. "Most curious, though, is that the moment his focus was shifted from concern for his friend to what he was actually doing, Tsutomegi-kun lost all composure and any semblance of technique, dropping from the tree like a rock. Had it not been for my now-student Kyousei Shichuumaru and one Uchiha Takeo acting swiftly, the ordeal would have been quite unsavory for the boy and his friend, as it seemed unlikely he could recover from such a fumble."

Ayaka nodded. "I guess you're right," she sighed, and began looking over the stack of papers. This... was going to be a lot of work. "Did you say Uchiha...? Heh. That boy seems to pop up everywhere when Tsutomegi's involved." Almost in the blink of an eye there was a sheet of paper on her desk, and she was jotting down the story she had just been told. "As for his home village... well. I have some more research to do on the subject, but thus far I believe it's at least possible that he's telling the truth. Or at least thinks he does. Futher reading and my own talk with him should reveal more of the picture. "Now." The pen stopped, and she directed a keen gaze back up at her visitor. "You said that the anomalous emergence of his ability possibly stemmed from concern for a... friend of his?"
