And I spend alot of time patching it with caulking too. You wouldn't even have had to patch it if you hadn't accidently broke it. ::goes away because she isn't appreciated::

Is there a Hot Topic near you? I got thigh-high fishnets from there (they make special "jumbo" ones that are absolutely PERFECT for Naruto fishnets) and cut them up for my Temari costume. You'll need more than one pair, I think, for Anko, but it will work. I'd link you to them on Hot Topic's website but it's not working now. I'll try to get a pic for you soon, though. That's a good idea, thanks!

*hugs* Tranquility, I'm really sorry I made you feel that way! It's my stupid fault for packing them the way I did for the hurricanes (I honestly thought they would be ok.... obviously not), but at least they weren't damaged past repair, ne? You know (or if you don't it's my fault for communicating badly) how much I appreciate your work on it and how much I love how it looks, and every time someone compliments me on it I tell them you did the detail, and you're credited in every pic I have of it. And you know your skills in things like that far exceed mine. ^^
But this is the Naruto Cosplay board, so we should get back on topic. But really, email/IM or something so we can talk it out, ok? *hugs*

Thanks! I really need to work on that costume, but since I can't wear it to any upcoming cons (unless it's AFO or random wandering around at night during our Megacon stay) it's kind of on the back burner for now.
Maybe if I could stop messing up on other people's costumes we'd get more done.

Yay! Update on Kiba!! ^^ Ok...have I actually done any work myself on the cosplay you may ask, lol, well...no. ^^' But I did get Akamaru today! Yes! Janmurphy is my hero!! XD!! Because I mean really, it'd be pointless to work on my costume if I didn't have Akamaru right?...right? heh heh..yeah, yeah, excuses, excuses... But really, I've been too busy to work on it, I'm already strapped down to another costume because I'm meeting a cosplay group, so I have to get that one done first. And since I'm the world slowest sewer/ a beginning sewer/ a super perfectionist, it's taking me a lot longer then it should to finish it. ^^' So...Kiba might have to wait for Fanime 2006. Heh heh... But, oh! For when I DO begin my creation..I have a question. Ok, this may sound pointless to you, but it's bugging me. What do you think I should do? For pants...is there a zipper in the back? Or is it elastic waist? Or button up? Or...I don't know. Like I said, ridiculous question, but in all the pics, his jacket is covering it, but still, to me, details like that are important.^^' So, what do you think I should do? Thankies in advance.

It seems alas, my baord has died That's what I get for ignoring it for so long, ne? ^^" But yes, I am back, and I DO have a question, so let's just hope people haven't completely forgotten it and will be willing to help me. ^^' How much do you think is an average amount to pay someone for like a prop for you? More specifically, Gaara's gourd. I know, half of you are whining at me now saying 'well that's have the fun of it! Trying to figure out how to make that friggin thing!' well..I got an offer, the pic I was showed looks decent, and she's pricing 50 dollars...so what do you think? ^^'

HEY, welcome back! ;D Are you saying that someone offered to pay you $50 to make their gourd? It depends on alot of different factors, so here's how to calculate a fair commission price: First, you have to consider the size of the thing. Is it huge and super-accurate to the anime, or will it be smaller? With that in consideration, decide what you'll use and find out how much it will cost. Then think CAREFULLY about the time, effort, blood, sweat, tears, and fragments of your very soul - err, I mean how difficult the project is, how long it will take, and how super accurate you want it to be - not to mention the quality. High quality obviously costs more. This will help you decide how much you want to be paid for labor. Add that to the cost of materials, and voila. Instant price quote. From there, it's between the buyer and maker to negotiate and decide on a price that's fair for both sides.

Thank-you for welcoming me! ^^ But er, sorry if I made that unclear, it's the opositte way around, I'm paying someone wo make a gourd for me. I think the size will be pretty acurate as she asked for my height and such. I saw one picture that her sister had, but it was small so I can't say if it was THAT amazing, but from what I could see, it look really good. So...yeah ^^' sorry if I didn't say that right, and that's what I was asking, I think 50 sounds pretty good, but I'm just not sure.

I see. I wish I knew more about what she plans to use and how she plans on making it, but for something like the gourd, 50 seems to me - generally speaking, since I don't know any details - a pretty fair price.
