While Iro worked on the soup, Nada opened one of the bottom cabinets and produced a nicely sized picnic basket. She glanced at Maz, but quickly turned to Kohana and saw that the tempura was finished. Iro called out a few moments later that the miso, too, was all ready.
"Good," she said, although her smile was not quite the same as it had been earlier. "Let's get everything packed up." Looking at Maz again, this time she spoke to him. "Are you all cleaned up? We could use a hand getting everything together."

Maz stepped away from the sink, and wiped his hands on a nearby towel. Wiping the batter from the side of his face, he kept an eye on Kohana, who went back to cooking the tempura.
Iro was standing where Maz was before, making the miso soup. He seemed to be doing well, to Maz's chagrin. Yeah well. Whatever. He knew he wasn't a good cook anyway.
Minutes passed and everyone -- except Maz, who did his best to stay out of everyone's way -- was working, finishing up their tasks. The miso finished, Nadameru opened one of the cabinets and pulled out a picnic basket. "Let's get everything packed up." She turned to Maz, and spoke. "Are you all cleaned up? We could use a hand getting everything together."
"Yeah. Sure. Whaddya want me to do?"

"Whaddya want me to do?" Maz asked.
"The three of you just get everything packed into the basket. I'm going to go try to find a blanket."
Giving the trio a small smile, Nada turned and made her way out of the room. Walking down the hall, past her father's study, she opened up a closet and dug around until she found a blanket that she thought would work.
Straightening again, she slid the closet door shut. She hadn't realized just how edgy she was until just now. It had been overlooked while she was in commander mode in the kitchen. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves again, she made her way back down the hall and into the kitchen.
"So, we all packed up yet?" she asked the three genin.

Kohana finally finished the tempura. She was still somewhat irritated by Maz's attitude, but if they were going to be teammates, she'd have to get over it.
Nada-sensei had pulled out a basket, and given the three of them the task of packing it with their freshly cooked lunch. She exited the kitchen, leaving them to tend to their duty.
Soon she came back with a blanket. So, we all packed up yet? she questioned of her team.
"I think so, Nada-sensei!" Kohana replied. "I'm starving! Let's hurry up and get going!"

"I'm all ready to go Nadameru-sensei" Iro said as his stomach let out a fairly loud grumble. Iro blushed slightly, " and I guess you can tell that I'm pretty hungry too.

"Well then. I guess that makes us all ready to go, then, hmm?" After everything was packed, Maz grabbed the basket -- hopefully he wouldn't trip up or something like that, otherwise he'd spoil the lunch twice in one day.

Nada grinned at Kohana, and tried very seriously not to laugh at Iro's stomach.
""Well then. I guess that makes us all ready to go, then, hmm?" Maz asked.
"Yep," Nada replied. "Let's get going!"
That said, the jounin led her team back outside, leaving a mess in her kitchen. She could do the dishes later. Nada tilted her head back to look up at the sky, shoving one hand in her pocket, the picnic blanket tucked under her other arm. Good weather, today. Their timing at getting the food done was good, too. Just a little past lunch time.
After a few minutes Team #1 had made their way to one of the village's parks. Nada found a nice spot under a tree, out of the way of the children playing nearby.
"This spot okay with you all?" she asked her team. They were probably getting tired of all the questions, but she wanted them to know she valued their opinions and liked to know what they were thinking. Well, most of the time.

After a few minutes of walking Nada-sensei hada led them to one of Konoha's parks.
"This spot okay with you all?" Nada asked.
"I suppose this spot will work sensei. Is there anything you need for me to do?"

Maz looked around. It was a beautiful day, the sun shining through only a few clouds in the sky. All the fighting they'd been through inside the Homura house hadn't affected the beautiful weather out here.
Nadameru led them to a spot in one of Konoha's parks. He missed the name of it as they walked in, but it sure was beautiful. She led the team to a quiet spot, underneath a tree, out of the way of children.
"This spot okay with you all?" "Yeah. This spot is nice." "I suppose this spot will work, sensei. Is there anything you need for me to do?"
Maz thought to himself, 'Yeah, we need to be sure that you won't spill anything on us', as he placed the basket down, but made sure not to voice it.
"Alrighty. Is it chow time?"

After Maz had placed the basket down, Iro handed out bowls to everyone.
"Is it okay if I start dishing out the Miso sensei?"

Everyone seemed fairly agreeable about the spot so Nada spread out the blanket.
"Alrighty, is it chow time?" Maz asked as he set down the basket.
"Yep," Nada responded, sitting down. She took a bowl from Iro as he started passing them out.
"Is it okay if I start dishing out the miso, sensei?" he asked.
"Go right ahead," she told him, starting to remove the other contents of the basket.

Iro began ladeling out the Miso to everyone.
"Here you go Kohana-chan" he said, blushing slightly afterwards.
"Is that enough Nadameru-sensei?"
As he went to give Maz his portion, his other hand began to shake badly. Iro clenched his fists, tensing up completely. When he realized what had happened, he saw that Maz was stading there, hot Miso dripping from him. Before Iro could say anything...

"YAAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
The whole front of his top and pants was completely soaked with boiling hot miso soup! His clothes began to steam as a wave of heat seared over the front of his body. He clutched at his t-shirt and desperately tried to pull it away from his skin, but the miso had also drenched his trousers. Maz quickly shook his body out in an effort to get all the soup off, all the while letting out screams of pain, which quickly turned to screams of anger.
From around the park, people started looking at this crazed madman strangely. The children who were playing nearby were almost frightened, and ran off faster than you could imagine.
"You... you bastard!" he spat at Iro. "Look where you're pouring that thing!" -- Maz paused, amidst all his cursing, to wipe himself off a bit -- "Dammit, give it to Kohana! At least she can see what the hell she's doing!"

"You... you bastard! Look where you're pouring that thing! Dammit, give it to Kohana! At least she can see what the hell she's doing!" Maz yelled in fury.
That was it. Iro had put up with this "teammate" for too long now, and he hadn't said a thing. "Don't you EVER insult my sight again!" Iro fumed, standing to his full height. "If you had given me a chance, I was going to apologize to you, but now I think I'm glad I spilled the Miso on you!" Iro panted, trying to let his mind catch up to his racing mouth, but it was far too slow at this point. "You always go around putting other people down just becuase your an Adarkis. You think just becuase your a member of a respected clan you can go around acting like a damned prince! Just because someone is different from you, or better than you, doesn't give you the right to treat them like dirt! By this point Iro did not really care that everyone in the park could easily hear their conversation...

Only seconds had passed after the jounin's nod to Iro as he poured her her miso, and things had exploded. Rather quickly. Unexpectedly.
Snapping out of her dumbstruck stare, Nada set her miso down and got to her feet. By this point the two boys were shouting at each other. Scowling, she took hold of Iro's arm and moved the much taller genin away from Maz so that she was between them.
"Hey--hey--HEY!--Will you two calm down!?" she snapped. "Accidents happen, there's no need to make a scene--both of you!" That said, she looked to Maz, and the scowl changed to a slightly concerned frown. "Are you alright?" she questioned, knowing how hot the miso had been.
