"Alright? Dah..." -- he swore lightly under his breath, still shaking -- "... do I LOOK alright? Goddammit." His body was steaming less now, but it was still hot, and it goes without saying that it feels uncomfortable wearing clothes completely covered in miso. Really uncomfortable.
"God... look at me, I'm soaking wet, and it's all his fault!"

Not exactly the response she was hoping for, but understandable. Sort of.
"God... look at me, I'm soaking wet, and it's all his fault!"
"It's nobody's fault, alright?" Nada said sternly. "I'm more concerned about you being drenched in hot miso. Are you burned or anything?" she asked, reaching out a hand to him with the intention to peel back his collar and have a look at his possibly scalded skin.

Maz slapped her hand away, as if it were diseased. "Don't touch me!"
...this whole day all of a sudden sucked. Everything had gone wrong. Today was supposed to be a good day... a fresh start, a happy start. But the cooking... the attitudes... it had all welled up inside, and in a storm of emotion, Maz shouted.
"I hate this team!"
* * * * * * *
At that point, when Maz's control had all but gone out the window, something dropped from the sky, and hit Maz on the shoulder. It smeared against his shirt, and left its mark before the deliverer of the 'package' -- a small bird -- flew off, leaving the Adarakis with the 'contents'.
Maz froze. His body stopped moving altogether. He was seething with rage. He had just been completely humiliated in front of his new team. His face heated up with anger, with spite. With hatred.
And it was all directed at his teammates.

Nadameru blinked as Maz slapped her hand away, almost as if she had leprosy. She dropped both her hands to her sides and just looked at him, nothing she could say coming to mind. She should have expected the next four words out of his mouth.
"I HATE THIS TEAM!"
The jounin winced visibly. This was beyond smoothing over. This was beyond a quick repair. Nadameru was at a total loss.
The bird was the coup de gras, Nada could tell. For a moment, she pitied him, but that was replaced with fear from the absolute hatred etched all over his face. She wasn't afraid of him--in a fight, she could take him easily. She was afraid because, now, as a sensei, she didn't know how to handle him.
She didn't know what to do at all.

It all finally hit Iro, everything that had happened, everything that had been said, as four little words left is mouth...
"I hate this team!"
Iro stood on the other side of his new sensei completely still. Now that he had time to think of what to say, he couldn't think of anything at all. He felt terrible. It had been all his fault. If it hadn't been for.. well, it was all his fault, and he knew it; and still he couldn't even force his mouth to move. His mouth had gone completely dry, and his throat had begun to clench up on him. Maybe his sensei could somehow sort this whole mess out, but even that seemed unlikely now.

Keitaro Buyo walked along the streets of Konoha. He watched as construction crews continued to work on buildings, rebuilding what had been damaged.
Even after the war, damage was around...with buildings, streets...and especially with people and families.
Keitaro smiled despite this, knowing that now that he was a Konoha ninja academy teacher, he would be able to help out as many little aspiring shinobi as he could to become genins.
He continued to walk, the happy thought keeping him springy when...
I HATE THIS TEAM! a voice called out.
Keitaro turned towards the sound, which came from Ichiraku ramen. He saw a group of people standing around a young man who looked thouroughly angry. He was eying the people around him maliciously.
Keitaro slowed his pace to get a better look.
He saw that the young man was almost completely soaked with something, something also stained his clothes, Keitaro couldn't tell what.
Poor guy... Keitaro thought. He figured that the person didn't seem like a naturally angry sort of guy, so something bad must have happened. The boy's clothes stood as proof.
Keitaro looked over to the rest of the stand, seeing a young woman wearing fishnet stockings and...
...It was Nadamaru-chan!
The boy's saying finally fell into context to Keitaro, he remembered that Nada had just become a Jounin sensei. He figured that this must be her team.
Keitaro's stomach shrivled up. He saw that her face was distraught and full of worry. She looked awful...and given the situation, Keitaro figured that she must feel even worse.
He was about to walk up to set the boy straight (or to at least console her friend) when he decided otherwise.
Nada-chan is a big girl... he thought, It's important that she handle her team on her own...she's more than capable. Heck, without her, I'd have never passed school...
As hard as it was, Keitaro continued walking.
"I'll visit her later..." he said to himself. "I'll cheer her up then..."

Kohana sat quietly at the picnic spot, and waited as Iro served everyone their miso. Suddenly, Maz let out a thunderous shout as boiling hot miso was spilled down his front. He shot up from the blanket, yanking at his clothes, trying to get the hot liquid off of his skin. He then started blowing up at his fellow teammate.
Kohana just sat there gawking. She didn't know what to do. She knew that throwing something at him, or zapping him with a bolt of lightning probably wasn't the smartest idea at the moment. The fight between Maz and Iro seemed to continue on for ages. Even Nada-sensei tried to intervene, and check to see if Maz was seriously burned, but he slapped her hand away.
Then came, to her, the most shocking words...
I HATE THIS TEAM!!
Kohana nearly dropped her bowl. She hadn't expected the situation to elevate to such an extreme level that Maz felt he had to say such a thing. Something inside of Kohana wanted to attack him, but she knew she couldn't. She was way to speechless...shocked at what her teammate had just screamed loud enough for the whole world to hear.
Kohana sighed...She wanted to go home...She felt like she was going to cry. She bit her lip and tried to hold back the tears... She couldn't help but feel guilty...like it was her fault...But she knew it wasn't. Maz obviously had really, really bad attitude problem, but that was something he'd have to work through on his own. She wondered...what was going to happen to the team now...?

Seething at what just happened, Maz grabbed his cape and wiped his 'delivery' off his shirt, before screaming at his teammates again. "I hate this whole god-d**n..."His mind was flooded of fond memories for his old team, and how much he missed them... this would never have happened in his old team. Today sucked. Right and royally. And this was the team he had to be with from now on? His new team? That was when he thought to himself... ...Everything was better in the past...He couldn't find the words to say how he felt, so let out a loud, harsh curse -- the harshest word springs to mind -- before turning his back on his team and storming off, out of the park and past all the people who had moments ago looked bewildered at Nadameru and her team. * * * * * * * Among the streets of Konoha... somewhere in an alley, hidden from the eyes of the public, was Maz. He clenched his fists thinking of his new team. He didn't wanna go back. He wanted... to be somewhere else. ...in the past...Looking to the skies, as if seeking an answer from God, he cried out... "...why... why did you..."Maz hung his head, and reached underneath his forehead protector; he grabbed his ring, and held it in his hand -- the chain clanged gently as he pulled it out from its safe place around Mazrakiel's neck. He stared at it for a few seconds, before hiding it under his forehead protector again. He stood up, and slowly headed for the only team he knew: his closest friend, and the only remaining fragment of his past... ...Sorien...

"I hate this whole god-d**n..."
Yes, Mazrakiel, Nada thought to herself, you've already made that quite clear.
She was a little startled when Maz uttered an obscene word, then turned away from all of them and stormed off. Putting a hand to her forehead and sighing, she bit her tongue. She could cry later.
She addressed Iro and Kohana without looking at them, her voice quiet but still firm, somehow. "You two can go home, if you want." Finally turning, she began gathering up all of the picnic items.
Mission One: complete, she thought bitterly.

" I hate this whole god-d**n..." Maz began to say before uttering the worst thing Iro had heard in a long time, then he stormed off. " You two can go home, if you want." Nada-sensei said as she began to gather up her things. Iro could hear the agony in her voice. "Sensei... I..." Iro couldn't bring himself to finish speaking. He tilted his head to the sky, feeling the suns rays on his face as he began to walk off. ~~~~~~ Iro clenched his fists as he walked through the crowded streets of Konoha, not caring as he ran into, and over various passerbys. Damnit Maz, you will acknowledge me as an equal, no matter what...Iro continued to stalk through the streets. ... no matter what!

"I hate this whole god-d**n..."
Kohana just wanted to cry...She then heard Maz blurt out an obscene word before he turned and tramped off.
"You two can go home, if you want." Nada said quietly to the two remaining genin.
Iro tried to speak, but couldn't finish, so he just got up and left...
Kohana felt guilty about all the good food going to waste, so she hurried up and slurped up her miso, and ate some tempura before getting up slowly and walking away. "Bye, Nada-sensei..." she said solemnly as she headed off towards...towards anywhere. It didn't matter...any place to escape the world...
She trudged home, her head hanging low. Thankfully no one was home...
A nap will do me good... she thought.
She entered her room, threw off her sandals and tossed her side pouch into her closet before diving onto her bed, and sobbing into her pillows until she fell asleep.
Hopefully...things would get better.......

Nadameru was a little surprised when Kohana stayed around long enough to finish her miso and eat a little of the tempura. She appreciated the girl's thoughtfulness. Taking Kohana's empty bowl from her, she tucked it away in the basket, too. " Bye, Nada-sensei...." There was not a cheerful note left in Kohana's voice. Nada watched the discouraged genin trudge off, knowing how she felt. Heaving a sigh, she gathered up the blanket and hefted the basket onto her shoulder, heading for home. -------------------------------------------------- "Tadaima," Nadameru murmured dispiritedly as she entered her home. Kicking off her shoes, she made her way into the kitchen and left the basket and the blanket there. She could mess with them and the dishes later. Exiting the kitchen, she headed for her room. "Na-chan?" Taro's voice came from the study. "Is that you?" He poked his head out into the hallway to see her sliding the door to her bedroom open. "How did it go?" Nada didn't respond, just ducked into her room and shut the door, leaving her father confused. She really didn't want to talk about it. Sitting down on her bed, she pulled out her hair ties and let her long, blonde hair cascade over her shoulders and down her back. Scooting back against the wall, she hugged her knees and buried her face in them. What a disaster! Could the day have gone worse!? She had failed Jyuudaime... her hokage, her sensei... she failed her. She failed her team... her father.... Hot tears escaped to stream down her pale cheeks. What was she going to do!?

Keitaro saw what looked like dark clouds coming in the sky towards the east as he walked along. It looked as if a storm would come to Konoha later in the night.
He pushed the thoughts of weather aside from his mind and continued towards his destination. A large parcel in his arms.
He found his way to the Homura residence, it looked particularly gloomy and dark with the shadow of dark clouds overhead. He hoped Nada-chan was doing alright...
Keitaro gulped and knocked on the door.

Taro rubbed his chin as he read through the stack of books on his desk. Research, research, research; it was really getting old. He would have to ask the Hokage about giving him a mission, or something. He wasn't old enough to be confined behind a desk, yet.
The man's thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door, so he slapped the book shut (coughing as dust flew everywhere). If Nada wasn't even going to talk to him, he doubted she would be answering the door. Getting to his feet, he made his way down the hall and opened the front door.
"Hello!" he greeted cheerily. "If it isn't Buyo Keitaro!" he added with a grin. His eyes traveled to the package in Kei's hands, then back to his face. He pushed his glasses up on his nose a bit. "I assume you're here to see Nada?"

"Eheh, you'd be right." he said, his arms hefting the cardboard containers. He smiled as Taro welcomed him into the house. He had always liked Taro, Nadamaru's brother. He was kind and a nice kid. Keiotaro thought he was also an excellent shinobi. While he wasn't fond of the work he'd been doing, Keitaro had noted he made a pretty good researcher.
"Pardon my intrusion into your home" Keitaro said ceremonialy as he walked through the doorway and began to take off his sandals. "How is Nadamaru?" he asked Taro.
