(OoC: Okay, just checking...^^)
"Hokage-sama!... it's Kagemaru, of the Adarakis Clan.... I'm... on the balcony... is Mazrakiel about? Is he okay?" Kaori nearly jumped, but instead simply whirled around to face the door to her private balcony. "At least you had the decency to show up out there and ask to come in," she said wryly, not angry at him but at the whole situation. Nothing made sense! What was going on here? "As for your son," she said more calmly, once Kagemaru had entered in his solid form, "he is safe. As a matter of fact, he's on an errand for me right now. He should be back soon. However...." she paused to take out two pieces of paper - one normally sized, and the other one a small note-sized piece - and began writing as she spoke, "we have a problem." The volume of the people outside was rising considerably, and then finally it sounded as if the villagers were making their way to their homes. So it had begun.
"Immediately after the attacks I personally declared an S-rank state of alert for the entire village and the surrounding territory. But," she sighed, "the alarms haven't gone off yet because of too many unfortunate events to go into right now." She finished writing on the two pieces of paper and set them on her desk for later. "I'm sure you know that means that neither you nor your son may leave here without an escort. I only have one chair, but you're welcome to it for now. There's water and a couple of clean glasses under the desk." She took one of these, filled it, and took a few large gulps before continuing. "Okay, so now there's one. Akina did have some extras but I don't know if you want to use those after what happened in here earlier. As soon as Akina gets back I'm going to go out again and begin getting everything sorted out, but for now it's important that neither one of you leave here without orders. It's inconvenient, but that's the way things are." That's the way everything has been lately.
Shaking her head, she took another long drink of water.

When he set foot in the office, it looked a lot different to what it did the day before. The room had been soaked in dust, and the remnants of a burning smell lurked in the air. Hokage's area, in contrast, was just fine. And there was Kaori, at her desk, busy as always.
"As for your son... he is safe." The second he heard these words, he felt a little more relieved. "As a matter of fact, he's on an errand for me right now. He should be back soon."
Great. He was okay. That was what mattered. After hearing those explosions go off, he was concerned... but when he saw that one of them came from Hokage's Office, he was frightened. He wasn't about to lose his only son, and the only other survivor of the Adarakis Clan. He was about the only other thing he had left.
"However... we have a problem. Immediately after the attacks I personally declared an S-rank state of alert for the entire village and the surrounding territory. But the alarms haven't gone off yet because of too many unfortunate events to go into right now. I'm sure you know that means that neither you nor your son may leave here without an escort."
"...indeed." He knew the rules about the states of alerts. He didn't mind being stuck here, but... as long as the S-rank alert was up, that meant a lot less freedom for everybody in the village.
"There's water and a couple of clean glasses under the desk." Kaori reached under the desk and took one, filled it with water and drank from it. "Okay, so now there's one. Akina did have some extras but I don't know if you want to use those after what happened in here earlier. "
Kagemaru smiled, and politely declined. "Oh no, I'm fine, thank you." He didn't want to sit down either; he was just fine standing.
"As soon as Akina gets back I'm going to go out again and begin getting everything sorted out, but for now it's important that neither one of you leave here without orders. It's inconvenient, but that's the way things are."
"Understood, Hokage-sama."
* * * * * * *
A presence moved on them. He could feel a tingling in his ear – as if he were hearing it try to sneak into the room. He felt it move underneath the doorway, before pausing. It spoke.
"Father?"
The presence took shape and formed to create the image of his son.
"Maz!"
"What are you doing here?" "I came to check up on you. I heard explosions, and thought you might've been injured." "Yeah. I was in one." "You WHAT?!" "I was... being shown around when all of a sudden an explosion ripped through the building. Akina... uhh..."
He blushed and averted his gaze. She saved his life... if not from serious injury. I mean, sure, she broke his arm... but she healed it too. If it weren't for her...

So, he was back. But what was that look on his face for? Blushing, looking away, it was almost as if... ....no. It couldn't be......could it? Kaori wondered what Akina would think were she here to see this. "That's right," she said out loud. "They were too close to the first explosion, but no one was seriously hurt. The cast on Mazrakiel's arm is evidence of the only remaining injury save a couple of bruises. And as for those two..." she pointed to the two dead men still laying where they fell, waiting for the ANBU investigation, "let's just say they're the reason some of my seals haven't been regenerated yet." She should have begun the regeneration process as soon as the released seal was dispelled, but beginning them took too much chakra, chakra she could be using to heal those affected by the hospital attack. "Well, I know you just got back, Mazrakiel, but I have another job for you." She took the two pieces of paper she had been writing on, rolled them into a makeshift scroll, and tied them with another bit of ever-convenient string. "Take this to Tokugawa-san's office. Tell her it's from me. She'll know what to do with it." (PS - 50 points to whoever can get the reference!!!! Oh, and if I already told you, you don't get the points. )

Aijou landed gracefully on the ground with a brilliant white flash. People bombarded him immediately with questions about what had happened and if everything was under control.
Two ANBU emerged from the pack of panicked villagers, and stood next to Aijou.
"We were looking for you!" the red-haired one chimed. "What's going on?" the silver-haired one questioned.
It was Ryuji and Haruki, the two other members of Aijou's squad. Ryuji having bright red hair, and Haruki, brilliant pure silver hair that glimmered and shone in the bright sunlight.
"We're now under a S-Rank alert! We need to get everybody to go back to their homes..." Aijou told his comrades as he found a high place to address the crowd.
Ryuji and Haruki spread out as Aijou tried to get everyone's attention. He pointed his hands out in front of him and several streaks of purple lightning crackled through the air, and all of the frantic villagers turned their attention to him.
"The Hokage has declared an S-Rank Alert! Please return to your homes quickly and calmly!"
The crowd roared, becoming rather distraught over the announcement of the S-Rank Alert. Ryuji and Haruki, along with several other ANBU were shouting over the the ruckus for everyone to calm down and return as quickly as possible to their homes.
Aijou followed the other ANBU, helping them usher the villagers back towards their homes.

As the crowd continued to gather, a brilliant streak of lightning quickly silenced them.
"The Hokage has declared an S-Rank Alert! Please return to your homes quickly and calmly!" announced one of three Anbu members amongst the crowd.
At this annoncement, the crowd grew louder yet as the three Anbu struggled to regain control over the crowd.
After several minutes passed, the three Anbu had finally regained control of the crowd, and had begun ushering them back to their homes.
I can't just sit at home and do nothing while theres an S-Rank Alert, Iro thought to himself. I have to do something. I have to prove that the Kokoro clan can be useful in situations such as this.
Still in the alley where he had tried to pursue Maz's father, Iro found the opportunity perfect. While the Anbu are busy dealing with the massive crowds, maybe I can get a better vantage point and finally find out whats going on here.
Iro wasted no time leaping up to the roof of the higher building making the alley. He did his best to stay out of sight of everyone. I guess I'll just have to wait here until things calm down a bit.

"Well, I know you just got back, Mazrakiel, but I have another job for you." Kaori handed him a scroll. "Take this to Tokugawa-san's office. Tell her it's from me. She'll know what to do with it."
"Sure thing, Hokage-sama."
And with that he had evaporated into his shadow self, before heading under the doorway and down the hall.
* * * * * * *
Maz's habit for not knocking on doors and going straight under them stayed unbroken, as he appeared in the doorway of Tokugawa's office.
"Uh, s'cuse me, Tokugawa-sama...?"
She jumped in fright. "Yipes! Don't scare me like that! Don't you know how to knock?... who are..." – she paused for a second, and noticed his Konoha headband, and a scroll in his hand – "oh, you're the errand boy Hokage's lined up for today?" "That would be me." "Ah, great. I was wondering when I'd see you around here."
Wow. She was much nicer than the director of the com center. Maz smiled, and cheerily handed the scroll to her. "This is from Hokage. She said you'd know what to do with it."

Tokugawa took the scroll and unrolled it, reading the small note paper that fell out onto her desk and then the larger piece. "So that's what happened," she muttered to herself before rolling everything up again and grinning at the young errand boy. "That's right. I know exactly what to do with this. Here, just a second." She reached into her desk and pulled out a notepaper of her own, scribbled a few words on it, folded it up, and handed it to him. "Give this to Hokage-sama, please. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got work to do," she added with a wink.

"Okay, thanks a lot."
He bid her farewell, before disappearing in the all-too-familiar fog of Kagetokeru.

Back in the office, Mazrakiel gave the note to Kaori.
"Mission accomplished! Tokugawa-sama sends this note." He held out the note to her, and after she took it, waited for her next command.

Jin was being josteld about with the other patients in the hospital.
As the crowd continued to gather, a brilliant streak of lightning quickly silenced them.
"The Hokage has declared an S-Rank Alert! Please return to your homes quickly and calmly!" announced one of three Anbu members amongst the crowd.
there was a great uproar from the patients, many of them feeling confused, and some still in pain.
Jinchuu had heard the explosions, he was a sensitive boy, and he knew full well what an S-rank alert meant... he looked around for a nearby able bodied genin, someone he could use to look around. After a little while, he spotted one fine target, and proceeded to faint after forming a hand-seal, hidden from view, under his scarf. Some patients quickly called for a medical ninja to assist the unconcious boy while a genin walked away from the crowd, to roundabout towards the smoke.
It feels good to walk again, being stuck in that hospital was pretty brutal, and that last explosion seemed odd. I want to know what's up, maybe I'll sneak a peek to the where the Hokage is, I need her to recognize my skill, I have to become a gennin!
Jin spotted an Anbu member struggling to hold the peace, he tried his best to make a strong mental note of the figure. Moments later, two more Anbu members were seen running from around a cliff, they made their way to the one furthest from the crowd, "I'm goign ahead to report to Hokage!" he said, and with that, the two leapt into the rooftops, heading towards the Hokage's office.
The two Anbu found themselves met with little resistance, But Jin couldn't help feel eyes on his back. - He dared not turn around to risk exposing himself. He felt less safe about his bunshin, being a low skill level technique, following him. But he was able to graduate form the Academy early from his skill in Genjutsu and the ability to replicate more clones than the average Academy student, - with no flaws, an added, no charge bonus.
Jin stopped at the base of the hokage's office building. He looked up and made his way, at a slower pace to Hokage's office. he felt the subdued soul stir; he didn't have much remaining time left in this form.

Nadameru's intent had been innocent enough: breakfast. It was morning. She was hungry. She had planned to get food before starting on the day's assignments. Unfortunately, as happens so often, things did not go as planned.
She walked by the hospital, her mind turning over her duties for the day. Since becoming a jounin her workload had steadily increased. Luckily, Nada didn't mind having to work often. She supposed it might be in the Homura blood to like to keep busy.
A terrible sensation washed over her then, destroying her train of thought. Her head snapped in the direction of the Konoha hospital just as a loud explosion rocked the area. Though her hands flinched, attempting to form seals, there was nowhere near enough time to react. The young jounin found herself being knocked off her feet and sent flying, bouncing, and skidding several feet, until a nearby building brought her to a halt. She blacked out.
It was several moments before Nadameru regained conciousness. Her head was throbbing and she found her movements sluggish as she attempted to get to her feet.
The hospital had been reduced almost completely to rubble. Her stomach lurched, though she did not know if it was from what she was seeing or her own injuries. She reprimanded herself silently. Her injuries were glancing and of no consequence. Now she needed to see if anyone else nearby was injured.
Forcing her feet to move, she began to inspect the area. The torpitidy of each step, each motion, frustrated Nada, but she continued searching. If there was anyone hurt nearby, she wanted to know.

"I'm here to see The Tenth"...
The two Anbu walked into the building where Hokage's offices lay. "She better be in." he whispered to the no one(s) following him. thats it, don't hurry, keep in controll, you'll be fine.
++++++++++++++++
"Ma'am!" An old man called over to Nadameru. Over here! give us some help, please!" They were the band of survivors, Anbu came and went by, The patients in severe conditions were taken care of, but those who did not fit into that catagory were left to remain until better areas of residence could be cleared for them. But these people were more concerned about a little boy, who had fainted shortly after being rescued succesfully. "Please, he said, beckoning to her, "take this one home, he is of the Yamanakas, it says so on this bracelet, take him home please? He should be fine now."
++++++++++++
Jin suddenly felt a slight discomfort in his leg. - His step limped. He stopped. The pain was of little concern to Jin, but it was his real body that he was concerned about. I hope they take care of it, I won't be able to stay for long if they keep jostling me around the debris of the medical facility.

"Ma'am!" Nada turned her head as someone called out to her. "Over here! give us some help, please!" She hastened (well, as near to "hastening" as she could presently come) to the small group of people and inquired what was wrong.
She was presented with a small boy who had fainted and asked to return him to his home. She nodded. "I understand. The Yamanaka family... alright."
Nadameru was only thankful she knew where the Yamanaka family lived. Carefully, she crouched down. Picking up the boy, she secured his arms around her neck and put her own arms under his knees. Since she lacked the physical strength, piggybacking struck her as a good approach.
It was a difficult trip. There were ANBU scurrying around, as well as other high-ranked shinobi, all bound to some important destination. Civilians were confused and chaotic and kept bombarding her with questions. Her reply was always the same.
"I'm sorry, I don't know anything."
Nadameru's heart sank as she plodded on. She had thought that surely nothing like this would occur again, not for a long while. What was happening in Konoha?

Kaori knew something was up the moment the pair of ANBU stepped into her office. At least....that's what they looked like, but there was definitely something odd about that chakra. Her experience in Genjutsu and medical jutsu had given her a certain affinity towards things like this. She allowed herself to be more aware of her surroundings, of her own chakra and everyone in the room with her. It was then that her suspicions were confirmed. The bad thing was, she had no way of knowing if this was another assassination attempt or not. Oh so casually she slipped her hand into a drawer where throwing needles loaded with paralysis serum lay ready. When she spoke, it was without the slightest trace that she thought anything was wrong.
"You're here to report, right? What are things like out there?"

"You're here to report, right? What are things like out there?"
"Well" said the first Anbu, "I was hoping you would mind telling me that."
"Truth is, I don't know what happened," replied Jin as he smoothly cut the chakra flow maintaining the henge no jutsu and the bunshin no jutsu, "but if you want a report of the surviving patients, they seem to be well; the mass of crowds have been dispersed by Anbu efforts and the remaining patients are being cared for by the people of Konoha."
An eleven year old boy? you'd never have guessed. Not even if the body was that of the real Jin.
Jin could feel the chakra release fill the room about him. Even if he wasn't in his own body, He could feel the power behind it. While Jin was a natural tactician, using a hoax body to enter restricted areas, especially during this type of an alarm, the body was still a member of Konoha, and Jin didn't want this person to get hurt. - Not to mention that if Jin didn't get out of the body in time, he too would suffer injuries and may die as well.
"Hokage," He began respectivly, "Though my name is not known to many people in Konohagakure, I want to prove my worth still. I wish to be transfered to Anbu... Officially." He pauses, painfully, his every heartbeat counted down to his Shintenshin no Jutsu's critical limit, when he would be forced back into his own body.
********************
Nadameru's heart sank as she plodded on. She had thought that surely nothing like this would occur again, not for a long while. What was happening in Konoha?
Soon, after Nada had managed to reach the Yamanaka Clan's district, a dark-skinned man, seemingly foreign, came up to her. "You've brought my son!" he exclaimed, helping Nada with Jin's limp body. "I'm so sorry that you had to trouble youself with him, I couldn't come myself, I had to keep the order here, and i was so afraid about his safety after what I heard about the hospital. If you don't mind, help me with settling him down, my house isn't far away, I'm afraid that Mine, Jin's sister, doesn't know how to take care of these kinds of things yet... They don't have a mother, you see, and its hard being both roles." They arrive at a fair sized complex, the grounds have been taken care of well, and a little girl, perhaps 7 or 8, is seen peeping from the window, she sees the approaching people and dashes off; moments later, the front door was pulled aside and a girl, the very image of Jin stood there with her hands clasped to her mouth. "Mine!" the father quickly came into comfort Mine with his only free hand, then he turned to Nada, "I'm sorry, I've been terribly rude, but would it be alrite if I asked you to help, if only for a little while?"
Two npc Bio's coming up soon.

Kaori raised an eyebrow at this corageous young man who would sneak into her office like this, especially after such an attack. Her hand smoothly left the drawer and closed without a sound so that she gave no sign of doing it.
"You've got some courage coming in here like this, you know," she said calmly, resting her chin on her fingertips. "I can't tell you how lucky you are that I'm not a very jumpy person, especially considering everything that's happened." She hoped he would keep his eyes on her, if only for just a moment longer...
So far he hadn't given any indication of what he thought of the torn up, scorched office or the blown out windows. She was immensely glad that the ANBU had already completed that part of their investigation and had removed the bodies of the assassins. Even so, it was obvious that something had gone on in here, and she didn't want rumors of this spreading around until she could make an official statement.
"I admire courage, but there's a fine line between courage and foolishness. What is your name?"
